AvNeil OS ~ Happily Ever After
Now,now,now don't beat me for such a cliched title but this is all what I (well,most of us) want from the show after the reunion. Nafi (flora212),this one is dedicated to you. Though I haven't fulfilled all of your criteria, I genuinely hope you like this One Shot.
Saesha/Mishti is not at all there in this OS, so...enjoy.

Avni stirred, the beams of sunlight rudely disrupting her sleep. Turning against the wall, she snuggled closer towards him, her husband as he unconsciously pulled her into his embrace. He smelt divine, a thought flashed across her mind, an unusual combination of sweet and spicy,minty and woody which would drive her senses crazy while she behaved like a love-struck teenager who experiences butterflies, chuck that,whole zoo in her stomach around him.
Avni mentally groaned, realising her mind would now not stop gushing about how ravishing her husband looks and how his cuteness only increases while sleeping. Avni opened her groggy eyes, blinking several times until her vision became clear. There lay her husband with mouth half open, disheveled hair, cuddling her and sleeping with innocence of a child.
She slowly untanlged herself from him, taking her own sweet time to appreciate the beauty the god had created for her, only for her.Unable to resist herself, she quickly pecked him at lips careful enough not to wake him up.
She ruffled his thick mane for few moments before pushing herself out from the bedsheet when a hand snaked around her waist and effortlessly pulled her. She let out a sudden shriek not expecting this.
'Neil,what are you doing? And...and when did you wake up, I did not even realise.' Avni fumbled with her words, trying to push him. Neil pulled her closer,reducing the distance between them, thus foiling all the attempts of his dear wifey to escape.
It had taken quite a longer time, three months to be precise, before Neil forgave her. He was furious with her and her baseless insecurities and above all he was hurt that she couldn't trust him with any of her plans. Becoming Avni Ayesha Khanna, the blunt, fiery and bold woman from Neilanjana, a shy and timid woman was a herculean task for Avni but she did it, for him, when she realised she was acting rather plain stupid, when she realised she had been punishing her family, her husband, her Neil for few inhibitions which were instilled in her by people who no longer were alive. There was no looking back after that, Neil forgave her, for the pain of loosing her again when she was alive he didn't want to experience again.
'What ka jawab romancing with my lawfully, legally, ritually wife and when you were busy admiring me.' Neil winked after replying bringing red tint on Avni's heated up cheeks.
'Neil,leave me. I need to get ready.' Avni retorted, wriggling to move out of his embrace which only strengthened due to her resistence.
'No,not at all. Saalon baad tumhe phir se khud ke paas paya hoon, ispal ko mujhe jeene do Avni, please...' Tears threatened to spill out from eyes, both his and hers. She joined her head with his, cupping his cheek.
'Iam sorry, Neil. Meri insecurities ki wajah se..'she began but was cut off by Neil,
'Please don't cry Avni. Tum rote hue bilkul achi nahi lagti ho aur joh bhi hua wo humara past tha, ateet mein jeena acha nahi hai.'He wiped her tears, dropping a peck on her forehead. Both sat in each others embrace with hands intertwined, enjoying their few moments of solitude.
'Oh no! I promised the kids to take them to beach today. They must be waiting for us. We need to hurry, Neil.' Avni spoke, moving away from him. She hurriedly walked towards the wardrobe, selecting an attire for herself while Neil walked behind her, sweeping her away from the floor.
'Neil,what are you doing? Put me down, gir jaungi.'
'Pani bachao andolan, wifey. Ek jagruk naagrik hone ka farz nibha raha hoon.' Neil replied, grabbing atowel from the shelf and entering the washroom. He turned he shower on, letting the cold water gush down on their bodies.

'Sorry, please forgive me.' Avni held her ears, cutely asking forgiveness from the kids while Neil, DD,Sunheri, stood at the background grinning at the scene.
'Neil,tell them naa.' Avni turned to Neil, requesting him to convince the children.
'What can I do? It's your fault, not mine.' Neil answered, winking at her.
'And why is it my fault? It is because of your...' Avni began retorting when she shut her mouth realising what she was about to blurt out.
'What jaan? What did I do?'He asked, faking innocence. Gosh! How much he missed all this, cute banters with his wifey, seeing her nose and cheeks turn red due to anger and embarrassment while she passed him angry glares.
Damn him! I'll kill you for this Neil. Avni cursed, glaring him with angry eyes.
'Kids,this is the last time. Iske baad Avni didi aisa kabhi nahikaregi.' Sunheri intervened,'yes, Avni?'
'Absolutely'came a promise from Avni.
Kids looked at each other, before replying in chorus
'Alright,this better be the last time.'

KashidBeach, Maharashtra
Journey to the beach had taken more than an hour. Visiting on a week day was an added advantage for them, the beach was sparsely populated which meant they had almost the entire beach for themselves. Kids immediately dashed to the waters,splashing them on each others faces and getting themselves drenched too.
Tara-Sitara joined Pinky and Daisy in building a sand castle while DD and Sunheri were busy in their newfound world of love and togetherness.
'Both look so cute, isn't it' Neil remarked.
'and perfect match too. Both compliement each other well' Avni added. She was truly happy for two important people of her life, her best friend since ten years and a loyal and caring devar.
'just the way we are.' Neil whispered,resting his head on her shoulder.
'and that reminds me how bad you're' Avni replied, forging anger towards her husband. Neil scrunched his nose,unable to figure out the cause for her anger when Avni said,
'will never forgive you for what you did to me in the morning'
And then began a chasing game between the couple.
'Avni, no please. I'm your husband, pati parmeshwar' Neil dodged escaping Avni's punch.
'but you are a devil, Mr.husband' Avni exclaimed, before increasing her pace.
'dekho main bol raha hoon, you'll regret later'
'Oh really, is it so. I assure you I won't regret any of my actions today' She rose her fist to punch him when he reflexively held her palm, pulling her closer. Due to sudden force, both toppled down on the wet sand of the beach. He was below her while she sat on him.
'reminds me of our first meeting, wifey' Neil said, hypnotised by a pair of beguilling eyes his wife was bestowed with. Avni hmmed in response, settling herself in his embrace. Both stayed in that position enjoying the moment, ignoring the cold water waves that were drenching them.
'superman jiju' Mowgli's voice brought them out of their la la land. Mowgli took a seat beside them,hands folded infront.
'k...kya hua Mowgli' Neil managed to ask, after the initial embarrassment wore out.
'chalo na kuch khelte hain' Mowgli pulled Avni and Neil towards where others were seated. Sunheri's teasing glances towards Avni were met by angry glares and blushes by Avni.
'What would like to play?' Avni asked,after everybody settled themselves under the shade of a coconut tree.
'Passing the parcel' Pinky was quick with her suggestion to which everyone obliged. Samrat brought the ball from their basket while Daisy, who wanted to be the refree, was ready with a song on Sunheri's mobile.
'3...2...1...and the music starts' Daisy announced.

Mowgli was the first one to get out and he was asked to imitate anybody of his choice. Mowgli donned the SRK pose and exclaimed,
'It's ok Senorita. Bade bade deshon mein aisi choti choti baatein hoti rehti hain' for which he earned many whistles from the boys gang which included Neil, DD and Samrat and amused expressions from Avni and Sunheri. Mowgli sat back, and Daisy played another song.

The game continued like that for several minutes until Avni, Neil, Sunheri and DD were the only ones left in the game. Four of them passed competitive glances to their counterparts. Avni passed the ball to Sunheri who was quick with her move. She passed it DD who was passing it to Neil when the music stopped.
'Who's out?' Samrat asked, seeing the ball in both of their hands.
'both of them' The girls declared triumphantly. Neil and DD glanced at each other, worried about the task which would be given to them.
'dance' Avni smirked while delivering their task.
'this is not fair' Neil replied, well versed with the fact that Avni was still on her revenge mode. And dance was not his cup of tea either, his girl knew it very well.
'everything is fair in love and war, Mr.Loser. Admit you don't know how to dance' Avni retorted.
'Sunheri please, yaar. Not dance.' DDtried to explain to his girl friend.
'kya DD tum mere liye itna bhi nahi kar sakte. While proposing, you made so many promises, main tumhari har baat maanunga, tumhari khushi meri liye bohot important hai, is everything a false act' Sunheri faked tears. DD agreed helplessly,falling for her act.
'I have one condition. You both should join us as well.' Neil stated, not the one to back down. Avni shrugged before replying,
'bring it on'
Neil quickly marched to Daisy, whispering in her ears about the song.
'jiju ready?' Daisy asked, with the song just a tap away.

Neil and DD took circles around their girls while lip syncing the lyrics. The girls stood, smiling and blushing seeing their antics.

The boys danced around the girls,sometimes pulling them for few steps while the kiddo gang sat adimiring the duo couple of their house.

The dance finally came to an end and children clapped for their performance.
'Satisfied Mrs.Khanna?' Neil whispered in Avni's ear.
'not that bad Mr'Khanna' Avni quipped before joining the rest.
'didi, ye galat hai. Inn dono ne aap keliye dance kiya aur aap ne kuch bhi nahi. Galat hai, galat hai, galathai.' Mowgli jumped, reiterating his words.
'what should we do?' the girls asked in chorus.
'shayari' Neil was ready with his reply.
'alright. Sunheri, you start first.' Avni said.
'ok.
Na main tumhe khona chahti hoon,
na teri yaad mein main rona chahti hoon.
Jabtak yeh zindagi hai,
bas humesha tera saath chahti hoon.'
DD gave her a side hug hearig her cute shayari for him. His desi, bollywood girl had this side inside her, he never knew of it.
'Jise milti hai dil ko sukoon
wo dhadkan wo jaan ho tum.
Jise paane ki chahat hai mujhko
wo aarzoo wo armaan ho tum.

zindagi ki wo talash ho tum.

Khuda se maangi wo dua wo murad ho tum'Avni completed her shayari on a teary note bringing tears in everyone else's eyes too. Neil moved towards her, holding her close in his embrace.
'I love you' Neil muttered.
'I love you too Neil'
Avni and Neil knew, theirs was not a love story shown in movies born out of silly crushes and separated due to misunderstandings. Every problem, every challenge life threw upon them they faced it together, holding each others hand, standing beside each other, becoming an anchor when their better half falters.Theirs was a love that emerged victorious when passed through blazing flames, when the time came for the actual test by the Almighty.Theirs was a love story where the destiny itself changed its course for them to re-unite, where the God himself was awed. Theirs was one such story people would talk till centuries.
