Sixth OS

It was her second night home after the hospital. Neil had surprised her and brought her home. She had tried to fight him thinking Ballu or one of Vidyuth's men had got to her before her family could come visit her.

It had taken all her adrenaline, personal training and insurance to get through the horror of being placed inside a brick wall alive. She could have suffocated and died. But she left the clues for Neil to find her.

He had found her just as she thought she was done for. Her hero had come for her. For years she had to rely on herself and hoped that fate would turn in her favor. Due to Neela Ma's relisence and foresight she had married Neil Khanna.

He was making things up to her everyday.

She was thrashing around in their bed. When she felt his soothing touch on her arm. She awakened with a lurch, trying to figure out where she was.

" You are home Avni. I am here with you. I will never let you again, he whispered.

She sighed and held him close. Her fingers grazed the scabs from his recent wounds. He caressed her hair, trying to comfort her. He felt her scars and scabs too. His heart broke with each discovery.

He felt like he failed the love of his life.

"Will you ever forgive me? Avni I have wronged you, he whispered.

She pulled back , admonishing him in the early morning light. They had laid there together for quite sometime.

"No Neil. You saved me from myself, then from all our enemies, she assured him.

He let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding.

"Then that means you saved me too, he retorted.

She merely nodded.

She squeezed his hand.

" I am going to freshen up, she announced particularly to no one.

"Yes we have a real honeymoon to start on, he declared.

She nudged his arm and tried to hide her blush.

He got up from the other side and rushed to stop her from getting up on her own.

"Wait a few minutes. I have a surprise, he said with glee.

She glared at him.

"Wifey don't you trust me?

" I do but..

"Just wait here ok please!, he pouted.

She couldn't help but give into his demands.

A few minutes later he called out to her.

There was a bubble bath set up for her. The scent was light and not too strong.

Sensing her being shy, he looked away to let her undress and get into the tub.

"Neil I am good now, she called out a few minutes later.

She was immersed in bubbles

He turned around and massaged her shoulders and traced some scars as he found them.

He didn't realize when she offered him her hand to join her in the tub. She gave her consent silently. He spooned her for sometime. Sometimes pressing a kiss on her cheek or neck.

Sometime later, he helped her out and dried her off before drying himself off. They took turns at the sink to brush their teeth. Making funny faces at each other. Sometimes he would swat her playfully, sometimes she would do it to him.

She handed him her choice of clothes for him and then he found a dress of hers that matched what she picked for him.

They got dressed. Then later he came to her with sindoor and her manglasutra.

She had happy tears in her eyes as he made her his again.
