Neil was about to take Avni in his arms when he recalled the doctor's words the week before.

They could not be intimate tonight. Avni's injuries needed one more week before she could engage in any strenuous activities. He hated to disappoint her but he would hate to be the cause of them having to return to the hospital.

"Avni, I don't think tonight is the right time, Neil admitted as she nuzzled his neck.

She pulled back and pouted at him.

"Kyun nahin Neil?

He could sense her insecurities seeping in, which he was trying to deter.

"The doctors said your stitches will dissolve in two weeks, it has only been one week. No strenuous activities , he stated.

She sighed and grabbed her nightgown and pulled it over her head then put on her matching cover up.

Neil changed and gathered her up in his arms.

He kissed her cheek and stroked her head.

" You love me too much Neil, she muttered.

"No one can love you like I can, he replied.

She laughed.

"Woh toh hai Acp saab, she retorted.

Avni felt better as each day passed. While Neil worked, she spent time with Ali, Neela Ma, Shweta and Bebe. Prakash and Neil would join them for meals and family time when they were free from their work.

One day Neil planned a whole day for Avni to go to the mandhir, spa and shopping with the women of the house.

Avni felt refreshed and the others advised her to enjoy the pampering. Neela, Bebe, and Shweta took turns updating Neil.

He needed a bit more time, so they took Avni to one more store. Avni picked out something for everyone but herself. Shweta took her for modern dresses, Neela for an indowestern wear and Bebe picked out a sari for her.

She tried each outfit for them. They teased her about how Neil wouldn't let her go if she looked too gorgeous.

Avni blushed and picked out the dress Shweta asked her to wear home.

They headed back home, the older women ushered her towards her bedroom to freshen up.

Avni found a note on her dresser.

It read: Meet me in the garden love Neil.

Avni blushed and quickly finished getting ready. She rushed outside to see a table for two. Neil lit the candles then held out a chair for her.

Neil was relieved to see her face glowing in surprise.

Tonight he would start making things up to her.

They talked about the future and made many promises that night. After they finished eating, Neil played a slow dance song on his phone.

He offered Avni's his hand and she gladly took it.

They swayed for sometime. It was like the earlier days of them knowing each other and a few moments of their first few months of marriage. Moments they had missed out on for quite some time now.

They blew out the candles and put everything away.

Neil splashed water on her dress and then she splashed him back.

He shushed her when she tried to run away from him. He picked her up in his arms and entered their bedroom.

He put her down and turned to lock the door.

Avni smiled nervously knowing what was coming next. He turned around with a bright smile on his face.

"Toh yeh saari planning aap ki thi Acp saab she said.

" That depends did you have a great time?

She smiled.

" Actually I did.

"Then the pleasure is all mine wifey.

"Toh ab kya irade hain?

"If you are feeling well wifey, then shall we continue from where we started last week?

Avni smiled.

"Why not?

She turned to have her back facing him.

" Will you do the honors?

Neil grinned and approached her and unzipped her dress. She let it fall to her feet. She stepped out of it and headed towards him.

"Now I shall do the honors, she said as she started to relieve him of his shirt.

A night of passion and bliss followed.
