I understand what you mean, but for me it wasn't as such disappointing.
Aditi is good in action sequences & I think everyone has become fan of it. 😃
When it comes to AvNeil reunion, I expected it exactly like this, Avni first becoming emotional & getting tears in her eyes, but not shading it & hardening herself & giving Neil cold shoulder. Avni won't reveal her vulnerable self to the one who made her vulnerable. She always used to tell herself that there is no point of tears, bcz if tears could solve the problems than Ayesha ma would have been the happiest person in the world. She has become that person once again, who don't believe in tears, emotions or love. The person who will rather first shield herself than breakdown & let the emotions take the control over herself.
When it comes to Neil, I don't think he was trying to distract Avni from her mission or anything. It was their first interaction after 6 months & while Avni was getting more & more angry each day, Neil was getting emotional & feeling guilty about everything. He was trying to be indifferent in the beginning but the more he talked, the less indifferent he became & about that special treatment statement, for Neil I felt, it was almost like he was the judge of some competition or boss of Avni & telling his wife in a banter that she won't get any special treatment, but it was a wrong thing to say, & Avni's patience & cold exterior broke there & she told Neil what she was feeling about him, special treatment & their relationship in brief. I am not trying to justify Neil's statement but that's what it felt like to me. & although Neil said she won't get any special treatment, she is already getting it of course. She has Neil's full attention.
Good observation about that dropping the bandage part, I missed it the first time I watched it online bcz I was more focused on his expressions & face! 😛 I noticed it when I watched it on TV. The scene which I liked was when Jailer asked Neil about lunch he was almost going to say I will eat what Avni eats, but stops himself & that little pause & then saying I will eat what other prisoners will eat. Brilliant. 👏 That was a very brief scene but in a subtle way it expressed many emotions. I love such little detailings & scenes where there is not much said, but it speaks volumes in silence.
You know this situation reminds me of Neil's dialogue where after accident Neil is self talking if you are such a true person Ananya, then what are you hiding now? Lies are kept hidden, not truth or something along those lines, & I think there was a scene where Avni says to Neil about getting everything easily & that's why not understanding. & now here Neil is, hiding the truth rather than lie. He is getting experience what happens when life gets difficult & it's not necessary to hide only lies but sometimes truths are also kept hidden.
So overall I expected their reunion just like this, where Avni will give cold shoulder to Neil & Neil trying to be indifferent but not able to & at last saying something stupid & Avni getting angry with him. So it wasn't extraordinary episode but it wasn't bad either.
I think many people thinks this track divided fandom in Avni fans vs. Neil fans. Here Neil fans thinks that people are only appreciating Avni & are blaming only Neil, but that's not true. Even these so called Avni fans ( mind you I am not trying to taunt anyone, but since some fans thinks members who are appreciating Avni & not sympathizing enough with Neil are Avni fans only I am stating it like it), knows that both AvNeil are at fault. Avni to believe every word that came out of Neil's mouth instantly & Neil for pretending to break his all relationship with Avni & not telling Avni the truth. Here I said it before & I am stating it again that Avni is wrong but Neil is more at fault about this situation. So they understand Neil is in pain but won't sympathize with him much bcz in a way it was self-inflicted, this whole situation could have been avoided if Neil would have only said I trust you to Avni. If not the whole truth bcz people thinks Avni is impulsive & would have make a mess of the things. In the Mishti track Avni was in a very bad situation but still people couldn't connect with Avni bcz she accepted Mishti so easily & complained about her character being compromised for the same. So the fans who aren't able to connect much with Neil now are not Avni fans but very much AvNeil fans.
& there is one more complain from these Neil fans, & that is these Avni fans didn't like Juhi track & were disgusted with it but when it comes to Vidhyut they are all happy with obsessive Vidhyut, here I will say Juhi-Neil-Avni track had lots of potential but the actress wasn't able to do justice to it. & these ex turning vamp is just too much cringe & clichd track. & her crying all the times didn't make it better. & this track was also rejected bcz there was already one ex who wreaked havoc in AvNeil's life, Rhea. Ali loved Avni buy he never turned negative, & that's why Ali can't be called ex bcz there was no love from Avni. & here when it comes to Vidhyut everyone knows Avni don't love him, never did & never will. Neil didn't love Rhea but still he was going to marry her & Juhi was his first love & he still had a soft corner for Juhi. That's why he believed everything she said immediately & was a wreak during rang Mahal track & then such impulsive decisions by him in Goa track. There's a difference. If a villain is obsessed with the lead character & lead character having soft corner or once having relationship with villain & once again giving importance to them in their lives.
Vidhyut making paintings of Avni is disgusting & I am not much active on social media but even I read fans calling Vidhyut's the painting cheap. People are excited for this track bcz Karam is a good actor who breaths life in Vidhyut's character & people love to hate him. Dayawanti was a negative character but people loved to hate her in Reema mam time, but same can not be said in for the actress who played Dayawanti after Reemaji's death. Ragini Pandit is all in negative character but people love to hate her character. Portrayal of a character plays big part in popularity of a character. Juhi's character portrayal was very weak & that's a big reason for that track being a flop. There were also other factors of the track being too clichd & all bcz of which that track was a flop but it wasn't accepted altogether bcz it wasn't portrayed well. People are accepting of this obsessed Vidhyut track bcz Vidhyut is a character people love to hate & also bcz Avni never had some bad or obsessive person being crazy behind her like Neil had, first Rhea & then Juhi. & no they are not accepting Vidhyut Avni Neil triangle, bcz there's no such thing. & no one is demanding such. Even Avni fans won't want Avni to be with Vidhyut who is such a psycho character. They are very much AvNeil fans & wants only AvNeil. They are just accepting this Vidhyut track, not Vidhyut for Avni.
So please people stop these. All Neil fans are very much welcomed in the forum but know this not everyone is blind follower of Neil or even Avni. Just bcz most of the members disagrees with you doesn't mean you are unwelcome, they weren't ( I am stating weren't & not aren't bcz even they are losing patience to deal with such posts every other day) mean to you. & people stating Neil fans are not anymore comfortable posting anything in the forum is like blaming them for not agreeing with your views. Here today where most of the posts says that they found the episode thanda & not good enough, I liked the episode on the contrary, but I am not uncomfortable to say it or feel unwelcome bcz of it. It's a matter of perspective only.
