First of all let me start by saying how awesome idea it is to have this thread. I am also guilty for not contributing in this place but guess whatever is there to say Mandy and shiks in their review says, so after that bakwas chitchat we do in AT 😆 but thank you for this place. For upcoming drama we need more places to rant and hope this becomes active more.
Why would you fee guilty?,😊 we all know that real life can be very hectic, so people would come here only when they have time, but my point is that EDT is supposed to have everything related to the episodes, so for people who would want a place which centralize all the views about the episodes, where different perspectives are discussed, the EDT is the ideal place, you can miss some single posts but EDT is supposed to make up for that.Skipped Rhea and is it me or her eye make up looks wayyy better! A relief..also the dress was pretty.
I didn't like the eye make up, but I guess it has something to do with Nalini's eyes' shape (slanted eyes), a huge part of her eyelid isn't visible when she has her eyes open so she has to spread the eyeshadow on a huge part of it. Look at the pictures below and you will see what I mean (can't believe I'm making a collage on the vamp😆 but it's just for pictorial evidence😆)-neil in pink was a shocker...like that pool pics is going around for days and still I wasn't expecting that. Zain is such a handosme Sona munda any color looks good on him😆
So far all the colors of shirts he wore looked good on him, light pink looked good on him and the light yellow looks good on him too.- Chalo Ali isn't as clueless or blind as we think he is. Even in his jealousy he could see there was something...a spark, mutual desire, the happiness. The confession is his way of getting it done with I feel, damn the consequences. So probably he won't succeed cause we have OLV of sleeping avni and Neil sitting beside her.
He sees that but Rhea keeps brainwashing him showing him misleading things and deep down he would like to believe he has a chance! I just hope they never butcher his character, so far he has been concerned more with Avni's happiness, it comes first for him- Neil ka I don't get...at times he's way more jealous of Ali -Avni. Now when Ali is on his work/HM place he's like hey bro, what's up...also offering avni to hang out with Rhea Ali. He don't suspect that Ali Avni may meet alone? Or the previous drama made him realize nothing is like that between them /from avni's side? If there is no jealousy maybe this confession drama will made him upset but not batshit blind jealous like he was previous times.
Neil was jealous when he heard Avni and Ali's conversation in which the latter was telling her to leave Neil and maybe there was some edited out dance between Ali and Avni during her birthday added to her saying she is staying with Neil to pay back his ihsaan and Ali spreading arms to Avni for a hug in the hospital. But after that incident where Avni was questioned and Avni's efforts to please his mom, he seems very relaxed as I said Neil isn't the insecure type of men unless he has really reasons to be, he wouldn't deprive his wife from seeing her best friend just because he is jealous, I think he trusts both of them. Yet it's a little bit weird afterall, because he knows Ali loves her!- the place is gorgeous. Pretty sure it's not coorg or is it?
I have no idea, I'm not from India, though I'd like to visit it.- DD avni team up is so cute. Neil jerking that dupatta to make her wet was 🤣 he becomes so childish around her especially this track. He's light and happy which reminds me Zain said Neil don't laugh much. When Neil was running behind her DD.all of a sudden went gayab. 😆 the prank was a bit harsh but he didn't mind, very sporting he is.
They are happy together, both bring happiness to each other, though Avni is a little nervous around him, I guess deep down she is afraid of the overwhelming feelings she started to have towards him.- Neil kept that bouquet outside room and I was 🤣 🤣
She caught cold so it's normal she would sneeze, but to take the bouquet out along with the microphone inside it, they made Neil say that she is sneezing because of flowers 😆 Nice! good riddance of the microphone not that anything will happen now that the microphone is out 😆- shweta less screen time, let's say hallelujah guys! Thank God! Rhea is Maha kamini and makes no sense. What's she trying to achieve? If tomorrow AvNeil gets divorced ok...let's assume avni leaves town or marries Ali, fine. She thinks she stands a chance to be Neil's second wife? The acceptance and respect of the family? Neil's love??!! And if she thinks shweta will keep her promise (if she made any) keep dreaming. She wants to get rid of avni not gonna bring home crocodile Rhea. She knows who's the more evil version. I have no issues with her plotting but come from a logical stand point and proper planning. What's your long term plan Rhea? Do you want Neil to love you or just want a big house to marry and have a new life? Wat you planning to make him fall for you? What you doing to separate avni from Neil...like Neil has this insecurity That avni don't have any feelings, what about avni? If Neil clears the mu that he not doing any ehsaan avni has no reason not to give this marriage another chance. Then what? Plan these things, come on Rhea! I expect better from you, you have twice the evil blood of ketan kamina and Dayan Mehta. 😆
I don't think Rhea was there when Dayavanti's truth came out, she didn't see the videos of Dayavanti's crimes. I think her whole world turned upside down, her entire family minus her mom are in jail and she thinks she lost a chance to marry Neil and have a comfortable life and is holding Avni responsible for that. She never got well with her mom, I wonder why does she treat her coldly, I guess Dayavanti's upbringing and pampering (money wise) distanced Rhea from her mom who was giving her wise advices but was so overpowered by Dayavanti!
Rhea was always mean but not evil, at least she can't kill anyone, the day she has beaten Avni on the head, she panicked to the idea of killing someone. Actually she used to be unable of conspiracies, whenever she did something it was following someone else's plan (Diksha or Dayavanti), I wonder how she started planning on her own suddently!
Anyways for me tarnishing another woman's reputation being a woman herself is something very cheap, so I can't sympathise with Rhea

I loved the last episode. Of course, the AvNeil scenes were amazing as always! So sizzling with a shining innocence in them too. Their love is so pure and sexy at the same time. Just the way love should be! These two have that perfect equation. Banter, friendship, attraction and care for the other. All things needed to make a long term relationship a success. You just need to be friends with your spouse and continue to bug them and sometimes pull their leg. It's needed. I love how "real" the AvNeil relationship is.
Thank you for taking the time from your busy schedule to visit the thread and post your review 😊
I agree with you AvNeil have this innocence and hotness combination to their chemisty. Their love is definitely pure and natural nothing is forced or out of the blue, they have solid reasons to love each other beyond the attraction. Neil being a support system to her, an honest and kind hearted man with values and principles who stood by her side and helped her always, a man who is mending her broken pieces, restoring her trust in goodness, in justice. We can't forget that he was the one who prevented her from becoming a killer, how can she not love him when he proves each day that he is a gem of a man. Neil on the other hand, loved the strong, independant and determined girl who has behind her tough facade a soft heart.
I love the trust they have in each other, they are friends but since they still didn't confess their love to each other, they haven't opened up completely but I imagine once they both accept it to each other, they will become the best of friends as well as passionate lovers.
I wonder how case 123 will play though, I see it as a nice potential track where the police officer will have a dilemma : his duty he puts above all including relationships and the love of his life. But for this track to be impactful they need to be deeply in love and in a much advanced phase of their relationship, after confession and after sharing many other experiences together and overcoming many hurdles, then their bond will be very strong, only then this truth can be hard on our ACP and we will see the angst, pain as well as love. It can be very intense. Avni would maybe be afraid of losing him if she tells him she is case 123 and Neil will be hurt that she hid it from him despite their love! You know I bet he will put her in jail yet try to help her within the boundaries of law, maybe she will herself surrender and he won't prevent her from it but he will feel so much pain, he might go and visit her in her cell where they might share some intense emotional scenes. As for Ali, he is being played so bad by Rhea and Shweta. Good we got only a little bit of Shweta, the woman is just nasty and a real cow. Has she even stopped to think why her Tillu is staying in this marriage and seems to be happy all the time? She knows her son went through one heartbreak, cant she even see his happiness? I can understand that she doesn't like Avni, but at least think of your own son lady. What about his happiness? Dont you care about that at all, or is being right and getting one up over Bebe and hurting her more important than Neil's feelings for this girl you dont like?
Shweta's character for me was a huge disappointment, I expected her to be the possessive mom, even be a little harsh on her daughter in law but I didn't think she would be a vamp. In the beginning I liked one scene where she showed her real mamta asking Neil whether he really wants to marry Rhea as she doesn't want him to be forced to do it. She said she wants to see her son smile again and live the happiness of true love. Alas she proved to be very selfish and oblivious of her son's happiness after that, the kind of tricks she played faking suicide etc say a lot about her. She stoop so low: tarnishing another woman's reputation is a very cheap thing.
She keeps saying that Avni's truth will come out, does she think that Avni is a bad person?!, I know she has a reason to hate Avni as she married her son by the means of deceit, but Avni was nice after marriage, and whatever hate she has against Avni was due to Rhea's brainwashing, but does she really thing that Rhea is a trustworthy person?!! I know she hates Rhea as well, I think this woman only loves herself, I wonder if she really loves Prakash!Rhea? I give up on her. She is such a loser. I have no idea what she is trying to achieve? OK so Avni gets revealed to the Khanna's and at the same time Neil MU's her? Then what? Avni and Neil split so I guess you get your revenge? But what happens next? Koi ageka plan hai yah bhi nahin? Like someone else here said, Avni and Neil are really in love. So it's a matter of time before their MU's clear and they want to give their relationship another chance. Same goes for the Khanna's. When they know the whole truth of Avni and Ashish/ Asha story. (Neela will clear it for sure), then they won't have an issue accepting Avni I am sure. So what will Rhea do then? This girl is a dumbass. She is losing her only chance at a normal life. She has this job with Ali, play your cards right you may have a future to look forward to? But here she is just being a stupid vamp with her short sighted revenge!
Rhea was mean and dumb but I thought they would focus on her relationship with Ali, there has been some nice scenes in the beginning between them, I thought he would help her becoming a better person and overcome the influence of Dayavanti's bad upbringing, they showed that Ali used to tell her off on her egoistic and badtameez attitude, they also showed that he was kind of attracted to her, in that holi episode he kept looking at her off shoulder blouse and telling her what kind of clothes are you wearing 😆 but alas they turned her into a typical vamp, glad at least she doesn't kill but I can't sympathise with her because of what she did, I wonder if we can ever accept Ali-Rhea as a couple!Anyways, I am loving the slow and steady progression of AvNeil and I hope we get many more beautiful scenes for them and some solid progression in their relationship soon. At least let Avni realise she's in love. Woh bhi bohot hai!
Even Neil didn't voice it out to himself though he knows it, he knows he likes her and he wants to be in this marriage but he still didn't say to his ownself that he loves her, for Avni she still hasn't accepted even that she likes him!
But I like the slow progression, as they say "slowly and steadily", I'm in no hurry, let them take their time, have a stronger bond, open up more to each other, overcome other hurdles, at some point they will face the truth hidden in their hearts.
I was intending to write a short review on the 28th July episode, but as everyone has penned down their thoughts so beautifully, I think I'd have little to add.
I've been wanting to do an analysis of some key characters for some time, and as I'm failing miserably to get some sleep, what better opportunity than now!
Musings of an Insomniac: Who Is Neil?
Neil Khanna is arguably one the best written characters on Indian television today - a far cry from the typical short-tempered business tycoons that we are all so familiar with. The writers have really breathed life into this character, taking the time to nurture his growth, development, as well as relationships.
Viewers were introduced to an honest, conscientious cop who despite hailing from an incredibly rich family chooses to live alone in a small apartment, with a very homely atmosphere. From the start, his character has shown a depth and understanding that has made him both likeable and relatable.
One of my favourite moments of the show was when Avni drew a comparison between Neil and her father. During the Holi party, seeing Neil rise against his mother to support Riya and subsequently get engaged to her, impacted Avni greatly. She told Neela how Dayawanti could not teach her own sons to respect women, yet is getting a son-in-law for whom a woman's respect holds a lot of importance. As the story has progressed, Neil's character and qualities have opened her eyes to the fact that not all men fall into the same category a significant turning point in Avni's character.
As Neil's feelings for Avni grew, the emotional turmoil he suffered was apparent. His reservations about letting another person into his life could have been attributed to his fears of loving someone and then potentially losing them which is what happened with Juhi. Him referring to an unconscious Avni as "Juhi" which highlighted how much value she held in his life, coupled with his vision of Juhi placing his hand into Avni's, were enough to encourage him to move forward. He has evidently welcomed love back into his life his concern for Avni and his insecurities about Ali and Avni being more than just friends, are all proof of this. (As a side-note, I really hope that in an effort to drive Neil and Avni apart, Shweta does not resort to convincing Avni that her son is still very much in love with Juhi that would be a cheap move).
Furthering this, his calm and patient nature perfectly balances Avni's character, who often fails to think things through logically and as a consequence acts impulsively. Throughout her mission to seek revenge on Dayawanti, it was Neil who played a big role in supporting her and ensuring that she acted in a lawful manner. The positive influence he has had on Avni, has allowed her to gradually overcome the pain of her childhood, and become the happier and more emotionally stable version of herself today. It is only a matter of time before she accepts and admits her feelings for Neil.
Unfortunately, while there has been progress in the relationship between Avni and Neil, there is a definite disconnect between the latter and Ali. Their characters went from being close friends to two strangers who exchange few words. From Ali's perspective, Neil is now married to the girl who he has loved unconditionally since childhood. And so those raw emotions of anger, fear, hurt and jealousy are all very understandable. For Neil, being in love with the same girl, makes his equation with Ali a rather awkward one. Adding to this, the fear that Avni may actually love Ali makes it difficult to open up to his best friend the way he used to. Recently, there has been a lack of jealousy on Neil's part, towards Ali and Avni's friendship. Observing Avni's attempts to win over his mum has perhaps made him realise that Avni genuinely wishes to remain in this marriage. It will take time, but I hope the writers salvage the tattered remains of Ali and Neil's friendship I miss their scenes together.
It is interesting to watch Neil's character in a professional setting, and it allows the viewers to learn more about him. The current investigation of the young kidnapped girls emphasises his genuine concern towards the public for him, it's not just a 'case', it's about the victims and their families. He is a character who firmly stands by his principles and morals, never hesitating to fight for what he believes is right. With 'Case 123' remaining unsolved, this makes the viewer wonder what effect this will have on Avni and Neil's relationship in the future. I hope the writers really delve into the depths of his character, allowing the viewer to get a real sense of the questions and thoughts flitting through his mind. This scenario would also pave the way for some much-need meaningful discussions between the lead characters. What were Avni's reasons behind stealing the money? Does Neil feel betrayed? I'm excited to see how this track pans out.
Finally, who is Neil? Neil is a character who aptly fits the 'Nayi Soch' tagline that Star Plus is forever promoting. He is both respectful and caring, and has a charm and uniqueness to his character that cannot be matched. He is the reason why Avni is slowly beginning to rediscover herself. One cannot deny the mark he has left on the viewers of Naamkaran. Thank you to the writers of the show for this amazing character!
