EPILOGUE
Neil's eyes displayed a sense of shock and surprise. The person whom Neil thought had snatched his Avni away from him, is flabbergasted to witness Neil breaking his marriage.
Ali understood his state of mind and revealed the whole truth.
" When you left for Mumbai, I confronted DD about the whole matter. I was sure something was definitely wrong because a person like you who loves Avni more than his soul can't leave in this state.
DD refused to tell but I assured him that nothing will happen. When I got to know about the truth, I knew you would definitely come. So, it was my and Nanno's plan to display the whole drama in front of the whole family so that you yourself confess the truth in front of everyone and my AvNeil will have the best reunion ever."
Tears appeared in Ali's eyes and he turned his eyes away.
" Ali, Avni ke liye tera pyaar saccha tha, hai aur rahega. Tabhi toh apni parvah na karke tune Avni ki khushi ke baare main socha.
I am proud of you bro."
Neil hugged Ali as he consoled him.
Neil's glare shifted towards Avni, who was sitting quietly witnessing everything. Her moist eyes were bowed down in guilt.
Ali gesticulated Neil and asked him to console Avni. He sent Avni and Neil to a room to talk privately.
Avni broke down on the bed and cried her heart out. The emotions which were supressed within her, found a path to be shed away.
Neil watched her shedding tears and went near, sitting beside her.
" Kya hua Avni? You just don't need to feel guilty about the circumstances. It was nobody's fault, trust me...". Neil tried to confirm Avni and bought her close to his chest. Avni clenched his shirt.
" Nahi Neil, agar maine tumpar bharosa kiya hota toh aaj yeh sab kuch hota hi nahi. My heart tried to believe that there is something wrong, but my mind refused to believe so. Maine tumhe kitna dard diya hai na Neil, par phir bhi tumne mera saath kabhi nahi choda. I don't deserve you Neil..."
Neil looked at Avni in a state of shock.
" How dare you say that you don't deserve me? Tumne mujhe itna hurt pehle bhi nahi kiya tha jitna abhi kar rahi ho. You know I can't even imagine my life without you. I am lucky to have a gem like you in my life, and I won't sacrifice it any cost now. Par tumhe sach kab pata chala?"
" Yesterday, Ali told me everything. He said it would be too late otherwise. Voh bechara toh hume ek karne ki koshish kar raha tha. If Ali wouldn't have been there, it would not have been possible for us to come together again."
Neil and Avni smiled and thought of thanking him. Ali knocked at the door.
" Ah! Ah! Agar tum logo ka hogaya ho toh chale. Mahurat chala jayega. Neela Ma will come here to dress Avni, Neil you come with me. Tere liye Sherwani bhi select kar rakhi hai."
Neil stepped his foot forward to move but cane back and hugged Avni in an instant.
" Neil Khanna apna dulhania ko lene jald aayega."
Neil winked at her and went with Ali...
Neela helped Avni with the makeup and helped her dress up again. Earlier she wore a peach lehenga but Neela had bought a new dress for her. She wore a red georgette saree. Her hairs were prepared in a bun. She completed the look with some light jewelleries, making her bridal look elegant and exquisite.
On the other side, Neil wore a gold coloured sherwani paired with a red dupatta. His face was covered with a sehra.
Neil and Avni were having flashbacks of their first meeting and all their moments which they shared together. They both smiled remembering each other before the big night.
Neil was bought to the Mandap first. Neela came and pulled Neil's nose.
Neil's family was dancing and enjoying to the music.
Neil's eyes were searching only for his Avni. His eyes were rotating in all directions.
" Arrey, arrey ruko! Aa jayegi tumhari dulhan. Pehle mujhe aarti toh utarne do." Nanno teased Neil while completing the rituals.
All the rest of the rituals were done afterwards. Neil was bought in the mandap. He stood there patiently. Suddenly Ali shouted
" Arrey dekho Avni aagayi."
Neil immediately turned towards the stairs but to his disappointment, they all were making fun of him. All of them broke into fits of laughter.
After a minute, Ali again repeated his words. Neil didn't believe his words and stayed in the same position as he was standing before.
Avni was descending down the stairs. The crowd was mesmerized by her beauty. Neil didn't pay heed to anybody, avoiding a situation of embarassment once again. Avni saw Neil standing, bowing his head down. She quietly walked behind Neil and tapped his shoulder.
"Mat kar yaar Ali." Words escaped Neil's lips like butter.
Neil observed the most beautiful sight in front of him. He was completely spellbounded by Avni's beauty. She didn't wore heavy makeup but her charm was enough to make anyone fall weak on his knees.
Neil's mouth was left open as he checked out Avni. Avni closed his mouth using her hand. Everyone had a good laughter witnessing the incident.
Avni and Neil stood standing infront of each other. Ali bought near them and handed them the garlands.
They both looked into each others eyes
" Ab ek doosre ko dekhte hi rahoge ya pehnaoge bhi."
Neil and Avni exchanged the garlands and smiled looking at each other.
The both sat at their respective positions. Avni couldn't have asked anymore from God. She felt blessed as she was getting such a lovable husband and family.
The pandit started the chants...
The first ritual that followed was Kanyadaan.
The Pandit called Avni's father for the ritual. Tears escaped Avni's eyes as she remembered Ashish and his brutal killing. Neil kept his hand on Avni's shoulder and tried to comfort her.
" Main karunga apni Avni ka Kanyadaan. Since Avni has entered our house as a bahu, I have accepted her as my daughter. Toh kanyadaan ka haq toh banta hai na." A proud smile curved Prakash's lips.
Prakash came forward and took Avni's hand. He then placed it over Neil's hand.
" Meri beti ka hamesha khyaal rakhna. Samjhe?"
" Haan, haan samajh gaya. Apni jaan se bhi zyaada khayal rakhunga iska, yeh vaada raha."
Avni smiled seeing her family rejoicing.
The ritual of 'Saptapadi or saat pheras'. Neela came tied Avni's duppatta with Neil's. Avni and Neil held each other's hands and made seven rounds around the ceremonial fire.
" Avni mai tumse vaada karta hoon ki main tumhe kabhi akela nahi chodunga, zindagi bhar tumhara saath dunga. I will never let any problem face you at any cost. This precious smile will never fade of your face, and tears ki toh no entry. Whenever you will need me, you will always find me standing with you. Tumhare tantrums bhi khushi khushi jhel lunga.
Main tumse hamesha pyaar karta rahunga Avni."
" Neil main tumse vaada karti hoon ki har sukh dukh mai tumhara saath dungi. Ek bahut acchi patni aur bahu banke dikhaungi aur tumhare family ka bahut khyaal rakhungi. Whatever may be the situation, I will always trust you. Tumse kam jhagda karne ki koshish karungi.

Avni and Neil made vows to each other as they completed the seven pheras.
The pandit asked Neil to make Avni wear the mangalsutra. Neil gently took the mangalsutra in his hands and made Avni wear the mangalsutra.
He then filled Avni's hairline with the sindoor. A lone tear escaped Avni's eye.
The pandit announced the marriage to be completed.
Avni and Neil stood and took everyone's blessings.
The day which everyone had supposed to drastic life changer had turned to be fruitful and blissful...
The marriage took place in the Khanna Mansion. While everyone was busy talking about the marriage and addressing the guests, Avni went to the remove a stain from her dress. Neil saw her moving out of the place. Neil followed and after some distance when they were away from everyone's eyes, Neil pulled towards him with a jerk. His hands were resting on her waist and eyes staring her innocent and angry face.
"Yeh kya kar rahe ho Neil? Shaadi ke din toh sudhar jao. Every place seems romantic to you? Koi dekh lega, chodo place." Avni said in an annoying tune, yet she was blushing hard.
" Dekhne do, mujhe farak nahi padta. You are officially my wife now. I have full right to romance with you." Neil said in a husky voice with which Avni's anger flew in a second. She was now lost in his eyes.
" You are looking completely gorgeous and alluring today. Kam se kam apni biwi ko acche se dekhne toh do na." Neil's words made Avni shy.
Neil moved her hair flicks behind her earlobe and bought his face close to hers.
Some guests footsteps were heard by them. Neil immediately pushed Avni apart.
Avni broke into fist of laughter.
" Abhi toh keh rahe the, mujhe koi farak nahi padta. Ab kya hua?"
Neil tried to get hold of Avni but she flew away from there.
Neela, Nanno, Aman, Ali and rest of them prepared to leave. Avni hugged them happily and bid them farewell.
" Chalo bhai sab bahut thak gaye hain. Sone chale jao. Afterall our bride and groom have to celebrate their first night too." Bebe teasingly ordered everyone.
Neil and Avni turned red hearing about their Suhaagraat. Everyone left from there and Kareena pushed Avni and Neil to their room.
Avni and Neil silently moved through their rooms. The room was decorated with roses and candles. The bed was covered with fresh rose petals.
Neil observed Avni getting embarrased and tried to divert the topic.
" Accha listen, did you notice Aman and Kareena gelling so well with each other? I mean the way they were talking, smiling and even blushing. They looked so cute."
" Tumne bhi notice ki yeh chiz? I had this thing in my mind since a long time." Avni sound excited...
Neil and Avni went on talking for a long time.
Neil indulged Avni in chatting and in the mean time, removed all her jewelleries.
Avni realized Neil's action and she started sweating heavily. Her hands and lips started trembling.
" Why are you getting so tensed?
Avni, Relax!
I thought you're extremely tired so I just helped you to remove your jewellery, nothing else. Change your dress , we should be off the bed now. The day was tiring and hectic."
A smile curved Avni's lips as Neil went to change.
Avni changed her clothes and came to the bed.
Neil was sleeping on the far off corner of the bed to give Avni space and comfort.
Avni noticed him like that and went to sleep beside him. She kept her hand on Neil's chest.
Neil realized her position beside him.
Neil was about to speak but Avni kept her finger on his lips.
" Shhh! Kuch kehne ki zarurat nahi hain. I am just sleeping with my husband. Don't worry! I am sleeping with you whole heartedly, not forcefully."
Neil grinned and kissed Avni's forehead. All their worries and complications in their life flew away that night. They were in the most secure and beautiful place in the world- in each other's arms.
" I Love You Neil."
