As Avni entered her home, she slammed the door shut, startling everyone in the house. Neela, Nanno and Aman, immediately stood up, turning to see Avni storm her way across the whole towards her bedroom, ignoring all the questioning looks of her family.
"Moi bachchi ko kya hua. Itni gusse me kyun hai woh,Nanno asked no one in particular.
"Pata nahi. Subha toh aise nahi thi. Main dekhte aati hoon, Neela countered, before walking towards Avni's room.

*Neela's POV*
"Kya hua bachcha, itna paarashaan kyun hon tum? Subhe toh theek thaak mood main thi? Kuch hua hai kya?, Neela asked, standing on the doorway of Avni's room as Avni looked in her wardrobe.
"Kuch nahi, maa. Aapko baatoin gi toh aap apne pyaare Neel ki side mein hongi. Jai Veeru ki dosti hain na, Avni plomped on her bed, defeated, as she answered her mother.
"Avni, main hamesha tumhari side mein hi hoon. Jab uske side lehti hoon, woh bhi tumhare hi liye toh hai. Bachcha, tum toh meri pyari beti hon, hon na. Aur ek maa ko apne bachche ke saath se zaada koi rishta meine nahi hota, Neela disclosed to Avni, as she went into hug her daughter. Avni hugged back.
"Maa, woh Neel kehta hain ki mein fashion nahi kar sakti. Mujhko aap aur Rhea se lessons lehne chahiye. Mujhe pata hain ki Dayawanti Mehta ki wajah se maine khaabi iss cheezon mein dayan nahi diya. Lekin jab Neel ne kahe, tab choobha. Kya aap ko bhi lagte hain main khoobsurat nahi hoon? Avni asked, resting her head on her mother's shoulders at the end of her question.
"Bachcha, ussne yeh toh nahi kaha ki tum khoobsurat nahi hon. Aur mujhe toh tumhare fashion bohot pyare lagte hain. Sachchi, Neela replied, trying to hide her chuckle. Mera bachcha ab bilkul ek normal ladki ki jaise act kar rahi hain. Isse paata bhi nahi chal rahe ki Neel koh yeh kitne pasand karti hai.
"Maa, tum toh yeh aise hi keh rahi hon. Every mother answers like this. Par maa, yeh woh time nahi hain. Aapko mujhe tyar karne parege. Maine competition lehi hain Neel ke saath. Kaun zaada logon ki attention le ga, who jeete ga. Aur Neel ne aapke bhaare me sahi hi keha tha. Aapko mere se zaada fashion ke bhaare me paata hain. Please help na, Maa?
"Of course, bachcha. Tumhe toh poochna bhi nahi chahi. Maa hoon, help toh karrongi hi. Don't worry. Neel ke kya, sabke hosh kho jaoonge when I'm done with you, Neela smiled.
Thank You Bhaagwan. Ais mokke ke saath, inn dono ko apna pyar ke ehsas bhi ho payege.

Avni was dressed in a green and gold ensemble. It was a lehenga dress that had a gold off-shoulder blouse with sparkles and mirror rhinestones arranging together in a geometrical fashion. The lehenga skirt was flowy with an emerald green silk design with gold flowers embroidered onto it. The back of her blouse was just a series of strings criss-crossing and tied down into a bowl. It was a tasteful dress, not revealing too much of the body, yet enough to showcase her curves. She matched the dress with a diamond set with emerald green stones immersed at the middle of the necklace and earrings. Neela styled Avni's hair into a side design half up-half down design with her curls. Neela also put on mostly natural makeup on Avni, along with smokey eyeshadow, some eyeliner and Ruby Woo red lipstick.
Turning around when Avni finally looked in the mirror, she hardly could believe her eyes. She didn't even look this good on her wedding day. Albeit, it was because of the rushed bride swap circumstances. A part of her felt awkward and nervous for some reason. This wasn't her usual self. She had always been the one trying to hide herself from the crowd, not to bring attention to herself so people don't find out her plan. She looked at Neela unsure.
"Maa, meh theek toh lag rahi hoon na. Aapko lagte hain ki main Neel ko beat karloongi.?
"Bachcha, mein promise kar ti hoon ki uski nazar tumse haate gin ahi. Of course you will win. Aur darro maat tum, tum bilkul khoobsurat lag rahi hon. Hamesha se hon, but ajj sab tumhe compliment bhi karenge.
Avni hugged her mother, and walked out of the room to gage the reaction of Aman and Nanno. Aman and her had just recently began to form a bond, and although they weren't at the point of treating each other as siblings yet, he treated her with respect and as a friend.
As she entered the living room, she was bombarded with compliments from Nanno. She hugged her nano and turned towards Aman. Aman smiled at his sister.
"Wow dii, kisi koh marne ke arada hain?
"Aise hi kuch

*Neel's POV*
Neel, on the other hand, had chosen to wear a dark green velvet blazer, along with a black bow tie and a white button up shirt. He had black slacks on, and a stylish belt. He had styles his hair into sort of a slanted quiff. Looking into the mirror, he was proud of himself.
Ab dekhte hain yeh kaise Ali koh mera se zaada fashionable kehti hai.
Picking up his gift for Ali, a nice Michael Kors watch, Neel left for the party along with DD.
Reaching the party, his eyes searched for Avni. He reasoned to himself it was because Rhea would not have bought Ali to the party yet. He's not that selfish of a friend who only focuses on his wife.
Waise bhi. Uske baare iss liye soch rahe hoon ki yeh bet bhi shuroo karni hain. Aur dekhane hain ki main abhi bhi kitne tashan me rehte hoon.
A hand on his shoulder bought him out of his reverie. It was Sidhant, Ali and Neel's mutual friend who had left to go to New York along with his girlfriend.
Avni neh isse bhi bula liye. Koi kassar nahi chori Ms Ajooba ne.
"Sidhant, it's great to see you, yaar! Kitni dher hogi, nah, Neel greeted his friend with a hug.
"Han, yaar! Do saal hoge. Lekin tum bilkul nahi badale. So nice to see you! Sidhant replied with equal enthusiasm.
"Where's the Mrs? Neel asked.
"Bas yahi kahin hain, you know her. So talkative. Aur tum bhataoo, suna hain tumne bhi shaadi karli, Sidhant replied.
"Well ussne hi toh tumhe bhulaaye hain. Woh abhi tak aayi nahin lekin, Neel responded, having a quick look around, just to check if he had missed her entry. No, she still wasn't there.
"Mujhe toh Avni ne bhulaaye hain, I thought you were getting married to Rhea? Shaadi ke card mein toh yeh tha. And isn't Avni the girl who Ali l-
"Avni meri patni hain. Long story, bro. I'll tell you some other time. Kitne din India mein hon? Neel cut off Sidhant. He needed the conversation to turn. He wasn't in the mood about talking about Ali's feelings for Avni. He didn't want to feel guilty. He didn't want to feel angry. He didn't want to feel jaded.

Sorry for cutting it off here. This episode was over 4000 words long though, so I basically cut in three parts. This update sort of was a filler, but it sets the scene. Next update, will be their competition. The update after that, I can't reveal. Something major is going to happen. That is if I don't decide to change it 😉
Not proofread. Plus I've only learnt hindi from watching TV/movies so if theres any wrong sayings/stances, please tell me.
