CHAPTER 4
After returning from Dehradun the three days didn't went well for Avni. Even after trying several times she wasn't able to take out that voice out of her head. Each time she thought about Neil that voice of Mr Kapoor rang into her head.
His demand of CHAMKO CAFE in return of that hospital land deal made Avni go mad.
" How dare he? What does he think of himself? Kya uske liye business hi sab kuch hai." Avni had started to hate this person like hell even without seeing him for once.
In order to calm her mind down she regularly visits CHAMKO CAFE. There she sees Ali smiling, happy with his cafe.
Ye cafe sirf ek property nahin hai. Mere aur Ali ka bachpan hai. Sirf Ali ka business nahi uska sapna hai. Uski duniya hai ye cafe. Wo na sirf is cafe ko chalata hai balki ek sapna jeeta hai yaha. Har kisi ke ashaant man ko shant kar khushiya baat ta hai wo.
Chahe wo land deal ho na ho par Ali se uska cafe kisi keemat par kisi ko chheen ne nahi dungi main.
The 3 days passed so quickly. Avni never wanted to meet Mr Kapoor again in her life but somewhere in her heart she was dying to listen that voice again and again. Her cell phone rang.
Avni: Hello.
Speaker: am I talking to Ms Avni Khanna.
Avni: yes please.
Speaker: GM mam! This call is from AYAN GROUP OF INDUSTRIES. And You are supposed to meet Mr Kapoor regarding the land deal at reastro bar of Hotel Harmony. So please be there at 8 pm.
Avni wanted to deny to come but speaker cut the call before listening to her.
"jitna badtameez boss utna badtameez staff. Aur ye meeting hai ya party restro bar my foot. I won't go there." she decided.
"But what if he tried to harm Ali or CHAMKO CAFE." her mind questioned her.
"He won't do that" she explained herself.
"But he is too stubborn. What if he felt insulted and in order to avenge that he did something wrong. I'll go there not because I m afraid of him but to make him clear that he won't get CHAMKO CAFE at any cost.
Avni informed dad about this meeting.
"Hume aise insaan se koi deal karne ki Zaroorat nahi hai. We'll get hospital land somewhere else. You please don't worry beta." Prakash ji told Avni.
"But I'll have to meet him once to clear everything." Avni informed Prakash ji to which he agreed.
As Avni went to the venue she found the pub to be very crowdy and loud.
aise jagah par business meeting. Ye insaan sach me psycho hai. Yaha ek dusre ki awaaz sunna to door scream bhi na sun paye. What mujhe uski awaaz sunni hai. Noo. Main yaha sirf use Ali ke cafe se door rehne ke liye warn karne aayi hoon. Uski awaaz ya uski baaton me koi interest nahi hai mujhe, Avni was talking to herself while assessing the place.
The place was very crowdy and the crowd was very weared. Girls were wearing mini or according to Avni nano dresses. The boys were busy staring babes and gulping down alcohol like water. While Avni was looking at the place turning left and right .And Someone was admiring her standing at a distance.
This girl is really a unique piece. She talks to herself, scares people, and cherry on the top that childlike innocent face loaded with millions of adorable expressions, thought Neil to himself sitting on a chair at the bar counter.
To avoid any kind of attention which he thinks he may grab because of being too hot and handsome, he was wearing a mask on his eyes.
Avni saw a boy approaching her with not so good intentions but before she could react someone dragged her to the bar counter holding her hands. Avni was about to scream at the person but he stopped her by placing her finger on her lips.
That single touch burned Avni. She was feeling its aftereffect even after he removed his hands.
Neil: Hello! Ms Avni. I really missed you these three days. Hope you missed me too.
That voice again made Avni loose her senses. She stood there clueless about what to say. She was just staring at the ground.
Neil: hey! Kaha kho gayi. I told you na this meeting won't be one sided. You are free to speak.
He again holded her hands and made her sit on the stool next to him. His touch again made Avni feel like she was burning. She tried to speak but her tongue wasn't coordinating with her mind.
Neil: so you won't speak right.
He offered her a drink but she denied by nodding her head in No.
Neil: you are looking quite uncomfortable. Are you OK AVNI.
As this word came out of his mouth. A lone tear escaped Avni's eyes which didn't went unnoticed by him. He was confused seeing that. "did I said something wrong" he thought to himself and offered a tissue to her.
Neil: you seem to be disturbed at that land deal. Look Ms there is no place for emotions in business. So please these things won't affect my decision. I have given you a offer. So if you have accomplished our work then deal is yours and if not then... U know what I mean.
Avni now became aware of her surroundings.
"kya kar rahi hai Avni Neil ke jaane ke baad kabhi kisi ke saamne nahi royi hai. Sambhaal khud ko." Avni told herself. She was right now very mad on herself for being so vulnerable that too in front of a stranger.
Avni was about to reply that he extended his hand in front of her.
Neil: Just for enlightenment of your mood would you like to have a dance with me???
Avni shrugged off his hand away.
Avni: don't try to be so oversmart which I know you are not. Last time shayad tumhe samjha nahi payi to ab sun lo CHAMKO CAFE ko bhool jao. Samjhe. Wo tumhe kabhi nahi milega. Chahe jo ho.
Neil was astonished. He was really amused by this wild and daring side of Avni.
Both of them were staring at each other that someone pointed gun at Avni's head.
The place was attacked by some terrorists.
He asked Avni to come with them as their shield to escape the place. They dragged Avni.
Neil was feeling like they are taking his precious possession away from him. If she would have been any other girl like he met before he won't be affected. But he just can't see her in danger. He followed them.
At a lone place they decided to kill Avni and escape. But Avni was Avni she bite the hand of one of them and ran from there. They started chasing her. Being so much tired she lost her strength to run more and fell on the road. A terrorist was about to hold her hand that someone punched his face. He fell back.
The person was standing amid those people and Avni. He asked Avni is she Ok without turning towards her.
Avni stood up and saw him fighting with them. She recognized the voice he was same Mr Kapoor with whom she had a heated conversation. Why is he helping me by putting himself in danger, she thought.
One of the terrorist attacked Avni and was about to stab her at the stomach but he holded knife with his hand from behind Avni. His hand was bleeding. He kicked the terrorist by turning around Avni to stand behind him. Avni was so frightened that she crushed his jacket with her hand at his back.
Till then police arrived arrested the terrorist thanked Neil for helping them.
Avni was still in shock. She was still holding Neil from back. He turned his head sideways and spoke In teasing voice "so Ms Avni ko bhi kise se dar lagta. Mujhe pe to bada Sherni ban rahi thi haan."
But then he realized that she is too frightened. He holded her hands and turned her to face him. She was still looking at the ground. He cupped her face and said in a assuring tone" sab thik hai Avni. Dont be scared. Main hoon na."

Avni looked up to get her the most pleasant shock of her life.
The person whom she loved. Who loved here. For whom she was waiting desperately from last one year. Whom she missed every time she breathed was standing right in front of her.
Avni couldn't believe it. She warned God that if it turned out be a dream she'll die. She moved two steps back staring at him without blinking so that he don't disappear.
Her mind stopped working...
Her heart stopped beating...
Her lungs were shrinking...
She ran out of breath...
Tears were flowing from her eyes. She was sweating badly.
Neil couldn't understand why is she behaving like this.
Avni not being able to take up her body reactions on seeing Neil started to feel dizzy. Her view got blurred. And she fainted in Neil's arm.
What's wrong with this girl. Sometimes she behaves like she is the strongest girl in the world. Aur kabhi itni nazuk. Uff.
But I can't leave her here like this, thought Neil. He picked her up in his arms and moved towards his car.
