Chapter 79

Bani tried to stop thinking about anything else. If anything could take her mind off everything, it was tandav.

Panditayin just watched Bani’s tandav. It was as graceful as Bani herself. The snake started coiling themselves over Bani. Bani’s tandav was an expression of every form of Shiva. Every single emotion that Shiva depicts in his form. The rage as Rudra. The destruction as Veerbhadra. The love as Shankar. The balance in Natraj. Compassion as Nageshwar. Softness as Bholenath. Calm and peace as Mahadev. The chaos as Bhairava. Beauty as Someshwar.

As Bani depicted every form of Shiva, the snakes coiled around her joined in completing the look. They twisted themselves to depict the attributes attached to the form of him. As Bani went on with her tandav, her pain kept resurfacing. She felt heavier. She didn’t stop. Her feet were bleeding.

“Adi-Naagin.” Panditayin was a bit worried. Bani seemed really troubled. It was in the way it was expressed in her tandav. The snakes were coiled close as well like they themselves were troubled and cornered.

“Adi-Naagin iss tarah toh tandav karti hi rahengi. Jab tak unka mann shaant nahi hoga, rukengi nahi.” Sapera added.

Veer had decided to play better. Veer punched Shakura on the face and he landed against a tree.

“Bani ko teri awaaz nahi jaayegi.” Veer told Shakura. Veer transformed into his cheel form and attacked Shakura. Shakura retaliated. All the cheels attacked in a group and somehow coaxed Shakura till the cheel gufa.

Veer dived at Shakura and pushed him in the same cave where Veer had killed Markaat. Shakura fell down at the force of Veer’s dive. Veer landed with his foot over him. Daksh and Ponky tackled Shakura. Veer pushed Shakura against one of the pillars. Balwant put the chains around him.

“Chod mujhe, Veer.” Shakura raged.

“Awww… kabutar ko gussa aa raha hai?” Shakura tried to shake off and free himself. “Right. Tu bhul gaya hoga. Yeh bediya normal nahi hai. Khaas hai. Let me refresh your memory. Cheelon ko yahan baandhne ke liye use karte hai. Jaadu hota hai inmein. Tujhe main asaani se nahi maarunga. Tune Bani ko hurt kiya hai. Iski toh bharpaayi tu karega. But abhi zara main apni gharwali ko sambhaal lun.”

Shakura laughed.

“Nahi bacha paayega, Veer Singhania. Bani ko mere jaadu se koi nahi bacha sakta. Iss jaadu ko sirf main tod sakta hun.” Shakura claimed.

“Challenge accepted. 6 ghanto mein. Bani yahan khadi hogi tere saamne. Tere jaal se nikal chuki hogi. Meri sweetheart ko kam aak rahe ho. Woh Adi-Naagin hai. Meri biwi hai. Use bohot acche se jaanta hun. Jo meri sweetheart kar sakti hai tujhe idea bhi nahi hai. She’s stronger than you think. Aur uske saath main humesha khada hun aur mera waada hai ki Bani ko kabhi haarne nahi dunga.”

With that said, Veer flew off to Naag Mandir. He took off his shoes and went inside. He saw Bani’s tandav. She was graceful. His mother used to paint Shiva. Veer could recognize them in Bani’s tandav. Shiva’s Natraj so prominent. It required a different kind of balance. Veer was no expert at Tandav but even he knew Bani was stumbling. Tandav needed a different balance. Bani’s own disbalance was causing her to stumble. She was almost about to fall but Veer held her.

“Bani…” He noticed her feet bleeding. She got away from him, continuing her tandav. “Bani. Please ruko. Your feet are bleeding. Dard ho raha hoga.”

Veer tried to stop her but the snakes hissed at him.

“Adi-Naagin ko rok nahi sakte. Hum mein se koi nahi rok sakta. Apne hi mann ke Bhawar mein phasi hai.” Panditayin explained.

“What nonsense. Bani ko nahi rok sakte matlab? This is just tandav.” Veer said. He tried to move towards Bani, ignoring the hissing of snake. The temple floor shook and Veer stumbled back.

“Tandav hai. Nahi rok sakte.” She repeated.

“Abh yeh kya hai? She’s going mad or what?” Veer asked the idol. “Ajeeb pagal hai yeh. Jo iski galti hai nahi uska bhi guilt liye chal rahi hai. Thoda aur dimaag bhi diya hota. Itni shaktiya di, itni khoobsurati di hai. Thoda aur dimaag hi baant diya hota. Pair chil gaye hai.”

Panditayin was surprised. Here there was a cheel. His worry that Bani was hurting herself.

“Waise toh bohot jaldi Bani ki madad kar dete hai. Phir abhi kyu nahi aa rahe?” Veer asked him while non stop trying to stop Bani. He kept landing away. Sometimes on the stairs. Sometimes against a pillar but he didn’t give up. When it didn’t work, Veer decided to take a different route.

“Bani.” Veer shouted. This time really loud. Angry and predatory growl. Loud enough to ring over the entire time. That stopped her. Breaking off the train of thought that was through her mind.

She looked at the scene. Raw in her mind. Shakura’s black magic was igniting the already present guilt. He played that scene repeatedly before her eyes, flashing the scenes of her and Aakesh. Then he would keep trying to call her. Bani felt helpless. It was like flickering fire earlier, now it was downright a forest fire. Blazing fire burning down her confidence that she knew what she had to do.

“Nahi. Dur raho mujhse. Veeranshu, peeche hato.” Bani was shaking. In her mind, the scene was the same. Naag Mandir. Her. Veer and Jay. She had just found herself attacking Veer. That nightmare. This time it was her husband. Bani felt like she was losing control of herself.

“Bani, kuch nahi hai. Sirf tumhara vehem hai.”

“Nahi, please mujhse dur raho. Mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha. Agar tumhe phir se maar diya toh?”

Bani’s trauma was playing out. That betrayal came from Hriday whom she had trusted so blindly. For whom, she took the curse and was reborn for his sake. Even though her soulmate was Aakesh, Nageshwari was willing to push herself and fulfill her promise to Hriday. She punished herself for even thinking of her own soulmate while promising herself to Hriday. To come to know all of that was just a trick. The love for which she was willing to forsake her true soulmate was just not enough. The trauma of watching several naag naagin in the temple laying dead. Aakesh had promised not to hurt anyone if she was willing to go with him. Yet, because she promised herself to Hriday, she didn’t even think of it. She failed to protect all those naag naagins. It was her responsibility.

The trauma of the truth that she had disappointed her God. The lord who was everything to her. Her identity started with Shiva. And she had disappointed him. He expected her to bring him towards the light but she killed him in cold blood.

Aakesh was her soulmate. He was there. He was willing to do anything for her. She was his salvation but she didn’t become one. She came as his death. The one who was truly made for her. She had killed her own soulmate. She killed the one who Narayan was expecting to defeat Markaat.

“Sweetheart, tum toh meri Adi-naagin ho. You can’t ever do anything wrong.”

“Galti hui hai. Main. Main samajh hi nahi paayi ki mujhe nahi maarna tha tumhe. Tumhe maarne ki saza mili thi mujhe. Bholenath chahte the ki main Aakesh ko bachau but uski jagah khud hi tumhe maar diya. Apne jode ko main apne hi haath maar diya.” Bani broke down into tears. It hurt him worse than any injury every. She was in a lot of pain. Shakura had almost mentally tortured her.

Veer felt bad when she moved away as he took a step ahead to comfort her.

“Unhe abhi bohot dard hai. Nahi she paayengi.” Panditayin told him.

“Woh Adi-Naagin hai. Khud karna padega. Hum kuch nahi kar sakte.” Sapera baba. Veer turned his head to the side and gave a predatory look to Sapera. The sapera took a good step away from Veer.

“Adi-Naagin hai par insaan bhi hai. Sabko help ki zaroorat hoti. Uske dil mein baith gaya hai woh darr. Uss darr ko bhagana hai. Mujhe pata hai meri Bani kaisi hai. Uss Shakura ke jaadu ne pareshaan kar diya. Mujhe pata hai wahan hona kaisa lagta hai. Pehle se hi thode se kamzoor ho aur us kamzori ka fayda utha raha ho koi. Andar se toot rahe hote hai. Bani bhaag rahi hai. Lad nahi rahi.”

“Iss waqt Adi-Naagin Bani nahi hai. Abhi Nageshwari hai. Unke mann mein abhi bhi wahi baat hai.” Panditayin explained. She knew Veer would help her. She couldn’t help but Veer would do whatever it takes.

Veer understood what she was trying to explain. Veer can’t reach out to Nageshwari because Nageshwari didn’t know Veer at all. Bani recognized Veer. Nageshwari recognized Aakesh. Veer stood in his human cheel form.

Bani just stood there as Nageshwari. Nageshwari having to face the truth. It was never Hriday and Nageshwari. It was only Aakesh and Nageshwari. She couldn’t explain it to anyone. The whole bunch of feeling overwhelming. The betrayal of Hriday. He had never loved her. How she had unwittingly caused the death of several naag-naagins at that Naag Mandir. Those memories had started to choke her. Taking the wind out of her lungs. The truth that she was also made as a soulmate for Aakesh. Aakesh was made a soulmate for her. The guilt that she had killed him in cold blood.

Nageshwari saw Aakesh before her. He felt the same as she remembered. Mad in love with her but there was a certain softness in him. He wrapped his arms around her. She felt like his strength, his courage, and his love were pouring into her. Only someone who was truly your other half could give you that assurance. It felt like she was finally alive. Finally, she was where she belonged.

“Hriday kabhi mera tha hi nahi. Hriday humesha se hi meri shaktiyo ka tha.” Nageshwari told him. The soft thudding of his heard inside his heart was the kind of comfort that Nageshwari had never known.

“Pyaar mein jaan de paane ki himmat sirf tum mein aur mujh mein hai, Nageshwari. Jab itni himmat ho toh unke saathi aam nahi ho sakte.”

“Yeh baat pehle samajh jaati…”

“Nageshwari, tumse pyaar toh bohot tha par pyaar se bhi zyaada zid thi. Kisi bhi haal mein tumhe kisi aur ka hote hue nahi dekh sakta tha. Jab pyaar pagalpan ban jaaye toh woh uss aashiq ko takat deti hai. Par agar zid pagalpan ban jaaye toh duniya ko jala deti hai. Khushiyan bhi jal jaati hai. Mere pagalpan mein zid zyaada tha pyaar se. Kyuki aisa kuch tha hi pehle mere zindagi mein jisse itna pyaar kiya ho.”

Nageshwari realized why he seemed different. He was 10,000 years wiser. He kneeled down before.

“Sar jhukane ki aadat nahi thi. Kisi aur ki zid ko kabhi apni zid banane ki aadat nahi. Pyaar ko sahi tarah samjhane ki aadat nahi thi. Kisi cheez ko apne dil pe haavi hone dene ki aadat nahi thi. Apni zid se zyaada kisi ki khushiyo ko zaroori samajhne ki aadat nahi thi. Tumhare pyaar se pehle rakshas se kam nahi tha. Mera naam ke saath sirf darr judta tha.

“Aakesh. Tum aur main humesha se hi saathi the.”

“Ek durse ke paas the par ek saath nahi the, Nageshwari. Pyaar tabh parwaan chadta hai jab aashiq ko pata ho uss pyaar ki ehmiyat kya hai. Uss pyaar ke liye barso intezaar kiya ho. Uske dil mein apne aap ke liye pyaar dekhne ki chaht ho. Tum kabhi uss baat ko bhul hi nahi paati ki mere haatho kitne maasum naag-naagino ki maut hui thi. Main kuch nahi tha, Nageshwari. Kuch nahi. Mere wajood mein tum nahi thi, kuch bhi nahi tha. Tum aayi toh main bana.”

“Mujhe pata nahi kyu yeh baat samajh nahi aayi. Pehli baar tumse mili toh aisa laga ki tumhara aur mera koi toh Rishta hai. Kuch toh hai hum dono ke beech. Ek pal ke liye tum mujhe itne apne lage.”

“Mujhse kisi cheez se itna pyaar tha hi nahi kabhi. Pehli baar aisa kuch hua toh uski zid si hui. Mujhse dur hota toh mujhse bardaash nahi hua. Tum Hriday se shaadi karne waali thi. Sab iss baat se khush the wahan, iss baat ka gussa tha. Zid sar chad gaya. Khyal raha hi nahi ki tumhara mujhse pyaar karna bhi zaroori hai.”

Nageshwari hugged him tightly. Tears fell down. He hugged her tightly. Nothing had ever felt better.

“Mujhe maaf kar dena. Kabhi samajh hi nahi paayi. Na hi samajhne ki koshish ki.”

“Hum dono ne galti ki aur uski saza bhi puri kar li, Nageshwari. Galtiyo ke hi baare mein sochte rahe aur aage nahi dekhe toh bewakoofi hai. Galti ho, uss galti ko samjhe aur use sahi karne ki koshish kare, toh sabh theek hai. Shiv kisi ko saza dard dene ke liye nahi, usse samjhane ke liye dete hai. Tum abh jab puri tarah samajh gayi toh saza se bhi maafi mil gayi.”

“Main nahi lad paaungi. Yeh dard khaae jaa raha hai.”

“Nageshwari, agar tumhare dard ne phirse mujhe tumse dur kiya toh main zinda hi marr jaaunga. Tumhe dard hota toh mujhe bhi hota hai. Tum pareshaan hoti ho toh main bhi pareshaan ho jaata hun. Jitni galti tumhari hai, utni meri bhi hai. Mere baare mein socho. Maine tumse zyaada galtiya ki hai. Agar main un sab se aage badhke azaad ho sakta hu toh tum bhi kar sakti ho. Tum aur main ek hi hai. Mere pankh hai toh tumhare bhi hai.”

“Nahi…”

“Khud par yakeen toh karo, Nageshwari. Tum jab iss dard se aage badhogi, toh sabh kuch kar paaogi. Koi bhi dil mein gile shikwe leke aage nahi badh sakta. Tum meri Adi-Naagin ho. Tumhare saamne toh pura naagvansh jhukta hai. Tum nahi kar paaogi iska shaq nahi hai. Iss dard ke rehne nahi chal paaogi yeh pata hai.”

“Kaise aage badh jaau. Itni galti ki hai.”

“Wahi toh baat hai, Nageshwari. Galti hui hai, theek hai. Use theek bhi toh kiya hai. Zaroori yeh nahi ki galti kya hai. Zaroori yeh hai ki use sahi karne ke liya kya kiya hai. Abh yaa toh tum isse hum dono ke beech aane de sakti ho ya ise sahi karke nayi umeed ke saath aage badh sakti hai. Jahan galti karne ki gunjaayish na ho, wahan insaan nahi aa sakte. Galtiyan ho jaati hai. Use theek kiya hai toh tumne usse seekha hai aur use sahi kiya hai.”

Nageshwari let it sink in her mind.

“Tum Adi-Naagin ho. Shiv ki bhakt. Tumhari bhakti tumhe sabse takatwar bana deti hai. Tum takatwar ho iska sabut yahi hai ki tumhe pata hai ki tum kisi jaal mein phasi ho. Akele tumne kitne cheelon ko maar diya hai. Puri zameen hil jaati hai tumhare gusse se. Isse zyaada koi kya takatwar ho sakta hai? Aur agar lage ki kabhi kamzor ho rahi ho, toh bas yeh yaad rakhna, main humesha hi tumhare paas hun. Chahe kitne bhi dur ho, mera dil tum mein dhadakta hai.” He pointed to her heart. “Wahan, main humesha rahunga. Agar Aakesh ke naam ke baad Nageshwari ka naam lagta hai toh tum sach mein hi bohot takatwar.”

After a while, Bani found herself in Veer’s hug.

“Veer…” Bani let the tears fall.

“Ajeeb pagal ho, sweetheart. Kuch bhi soch leti ho. Tum ho, main hun. Har cheez baanti hai hum dono, dard bhi baantna hota hai. I can understand that it is eating you away but tum kabhi apni line cross nahi karti. You’re strong, Bani. I don’t doubt that. But when you let your emotions make you weaker, that’s where you lose. Mujhe tumhari ladne ki takat se doubt nahi hia, Bani. I’ve seen you fight. Mujhe pata hai tum kya kar sakti hun. Puch lo jaake, saare cheel darte hai tumse. Adi-naagin ho tum. Tumhare kandhe itne strong nahi hote toh tumhare Bholenath tumhe kabhi itni responsibility nahi dete. Agar yeh samajh bhi leti, Bani, ki Aakesh hi Nageshwari ka saathi hai. Phir bhi Aakesh agar innocent naag-naagino ki jaan leta, it would be her responsibility to answer that. Tumne Aakesh ko nahi maara hota toh sirf Aakesh ke liye great hoti. But tumne Aakesh ko maara aur puri duniya ke liye great hui ho.”

Veer made her sit down and cleaned the blood off her feet. Bani didn’t stop him. He then healed her feet.

“Tum sahi the. Main handle nahi kar paayi.”

“Nahi kar paati toh mujhe nahi dekh paati. You think I did it but I know you did it yourself. I didn’t do it all. Maine sirf tumhe himmat di. Baaki tumne khud hi kiya hai. Mujhe mental training di gayi thi uske baad bhi Markaat mere andar ghus gaya. Tumhe koi khaas mental training nahi di par Shakura utna control kar hi nahi paaya. If he had been able to control you properly as he wanted, tumne mujhe maar hi diya hota. Mere saamne khadi thi. Mujhe pata tumhe Hriday par kitna gussa hai par ek kharoch bhi nahi aayi mujh. Isi baat ka proof hai ki agar gussa bhi ho, toh tum phir bhi apne control mein rehti ho.”

Bani smiled.

“Shayad main lucky hun ki tum mere pati ho.”

“Of course. Itna hot, handsome aur amazing pati kisi ko nahi milta. Sirf tumhe mila hai. Lucky toh tum ho.”

“Lucky toh tum bhi ho. Tumhari jaan bachane ke liye ek baar tandav bhi kiya tha Bani ne.” Meera entered and commented.

“Bani ne? Mere liye? Tandav kiya?” Veer raised an eyebrow at Bani.

“Uss din jab pehli baar hum Anant gufa ke paas gaye the. Tabh Chandrakala ne mujhe band kar diya. Tumhe bachane ke liye tandav kiya tha.”

“Hain? Tandav se log raakh bhi ho jaate hai? Kabhi pata nahi tha. Shayad mujhe bhi seekhna chahiye. Might come a handy skill.”

Bani shoved him.

“Tandav se nahi. Tandav se Bholenath khush hote hai. Toh prarthna sunte hai aur unhone tumhe bachaya.”

“Kya baat hai. I’m surprised ki unhe mujhpe itni daya aayi bhi.”

Bani glared at him.

“Woh Bholenath hai. Kyu tumhe aisa kyu lagta hai woh tumse kabhi nahi khush honge?”

“It isn’t that. Main Bani jaise bohot pooja nahi karta. I’m not the kind he would bother himself with so just surprised.”

Bani looked at him. How stupid was her husband? Narayan had himself come down to meet him in his previous life but he went around saying that he wasn’t someone Gods would bother themselves with.

“Tumhe kya pata? Ho sakta hai ki tumhare saamne aaye ho aur tumne pehchaana hi na ho.”

“Funny thought but we’re on a tight schedule. Maine Shakura ko challenge kiya hai ki 6 ghanto mein tumhe uske saamne pesh karunga. Out of his tricks.”

“Main khud usse deal karna chahti hun.”

“All yours, sweetheart.”

Veer looked at her and now he knew Bani had steeled herself enough to face Shakura. None of his manipulations would work Bani. She had the calm on her face that she finally had her closure. Everything that bothered her about Satyug was now gone.

Bani and Veer flew to the caves. All the Singhanias were there. Several other cheels were there. Parikshit Family saw Shakura tied up in chains.

The caves began to shake. The sound of the snake’s rattle ringing throughout the cave. The rattle didn’t get the cheels into a predatory thought but rather was intimidating. The rattles sounded like a warning of a powerful Naagin.

“Bhabhi….” Ponky squeaked. The rattles were intimidating. The caves shook with a force that scared the cheels. The ground-shaking had poured fear into their minds.

“Bani.” Balwant and Pawan muttered together. Bani walked into the cave where all of them were gathered. All the cheels had pulled out their talons. The Singhanias ready to fight anyone who came to attack Bani. Veer signaled them to back off.

One of the cheels gave into his eagle instincts and tried to jump at Bani. He didn’t even make a gash at Bani and his throat was in her hands. Her pupils into slits and the iris red. She looked fiercely into his eyes.

“Meri ladai tumse nahi hai. Beech mein na aao toh tumhare liye accha hai.” Bani warned him. She threw him away like he was a soft toy that Bani didn’t like. Her scales flashed blood red.

“Nageshwari…” Shakura tried to play his tricks. Bani was no longer falling for it. She balled her hands into fists. The ground shook at her temper. Shakura was surprised. Bani’s own strength was powerful. Veer just sat on his throne nearby, letting Bani do her thing. Shakura’s chains were linked to large boulders. Almost reaching the height of the cave’s top opening. The width of 6 icchadhari cheels.

“Bohot khel liya, Shakura. Abh thoda mere saath bhi khel lo.” Bani taunted. She kicked on the boulder and it broke from the base and fell to several pieces. All the cheels moved back. That was testament to her strength. Shakura felt a bit scared. It would take eight cheels to break the rock. Only one who had that kind of strength was Veer. That force was combined with a kinetic energy of high speed. Bani didn’t need speed. She had the strength. She hadn’t even kicked the stone with all her might and it broke like it was a piece of cake.

“Veer bhai… Bhabhi toh bohot zyaada hi strong nikli.” Daksh commented.

“Adi-Naagin hai woh, Daksh. Koi mamuli sapori nahi.” Veer answered with a grin. There was something about Bani in her strongest element that pulled Veer to her. A different kind of magnetism. He couldn’t help that intense magnetic pull that she has when she’s her strongest. She scares the wits out of everyone but it pulls Veer further more towards her. Bani’s own violent tendency matched his.

It was a thing. Bani and Veer matched equally in their powers. If Veer was the King of the Skies, Bani was Queen of the earth. You cannot shake her once she was on her ground. Veer had speed, reflexes, and power. Bani had the sheer force.

“She broke down those temple doors. Yeh surprising nahi hai.” Sam commented. Veer just stared at her. She was beautiful. That fierce look in her eyes. Fearless Queen of the wild. Veer’s ladaku vimaan.

“Swweet heart…” Shakura grinned at her. Bani grabbed his throat. A few cheels actually ran away at that. “Tum mujhe maar nahi sakti, sweet heart. Kyuki hum dono ek durse ke hai.”

“Abe oo… apni bakwaas kahin aur le jaa. Bani meri patni hai.”

“Shakura, apni hadd mat bhulo.” Bani hissed. Bani threw him away and Shakura fell against the rocks. The cheels moved back. None of them had the dare to face her. She turned into a large snake. Around 26 feet large. None of the cheels had ever seen that large of a Cobra. She stood 12 feet tall with her hood open. Her coils so thick that it would break the bones into pieces when she constricts. A few cheels tried to attack and found themselves in her coils. With every inhalation, the coils constricted tighter. They found it hard to breath. Blood flow was constricted. The coils around the throat choking them. The ribs had begun to break. One by one, Bani released them, throwing them away. A loud hiss warning them to stay away. Bani’s coils had formed a ring. Shakura cannot step off it. She turned to Shakura. Shakura pulled out his talons. He tried to attack Bani. A few times gashed through her coils but it didn’t seem to shake her.

Bani struck him but he dodged it. He tried to get her under his control. Nikhil pulled out a been and tried to play it. Bani tried hard to resist it. Veer stood up and walked over to Nikhil. He put his hand on the opening and gave him a look. The red snake turned to look at Veer.

“Continue. Ise main handle kar leta hun.” Veer winked at the snake. Veer chuckled at Shakura’s try to be a snake catcher. “Yaa toh yeh sach mein bohot bada bewakoof hai yaa phir deewar se lagne ke baad iska mental balance hat gaya hai.”

Shakura managed to escape the coils. The snake moved behind him. Chasing him. The cheels jumped out of the way as she started stalking in the path. Almost jumping over each other. For the first time it seemed that the eagle was being hunted by the snake. Shakura turned into his eagle form and tried to attack Bani with the large talons but she kicked at him with the tail.

“Bhaag toh sakte hi ho, Shakura. Saare entrance aur exit cheel gufa ke band hai. Maine khud ki hai.” Veer casually told Shakura. He turned and looked at Veer. The fear now apparent in his eyes.

For all this while Shakura played with Bani, now she was going to play with him. Shakura was running the only problem was he didn’t know from where the snake was going to show up. He kept running, not stopping in case she was around waiting. He was somewhere close by to the waterfall of the cave.

The cheels followed to see the drama unfold. Shakura saw Veer and pounced him. The two lost balance and fell into the water. Shakura tried to drown Veer. Veer kicked him hard. Shakura caught his throat and pushed him inside the water. Veer punched him on the face. Shakura pulled Veer in a headlock. Veer elbowed him really hard on the spot where it was already injured.

Shakura grabbed a dagger and tried to attack Veer. Veer dodged skilfully. While the fight proceeded, Shakura stabbed Veer. Veer fell down. He lost his balance and tried to get it back while swimming. Shakura tried to attack Veer when the red snake appeared from the depths of water without a previous sign. The snake hissed loudly.

The cheels were all scared. Once in water, they were totally defenseless against snakes. Shakura tried to quickly run away but how far could he run? He couldn’t match the speed of the snake while in water. She was quick to grab him. Shakura was almost at the banks. She pulled him back into the water. Pulling him down and down into the water. Veer looked around and saw blood.

“Bani?!” Veer called out. He remembered seeing the dagger in Shakura’s hand. Bani appeared out of water. She threw Shakura out of the water. The blood was coming off him and Bani. She turned back into her human naagin form. She was bleeding up a bit but didn’t pay much attention to healing herself. She looked predatory. She was the python and Shakura was a foolish chicken that came into the python’s territory.” Bani stepped out of the water. Every step of hers reminded every single cheel of death.

The only one who found it gorgeous was Veer. Shakura tried to run.

“Bhaag lo.” Bani challenged. “Aaj main bhi dekhu kitna bhaag sakte ho.”

It was Shakura’s turn to be scared. He tried to run around. Balwant blocked his way and pushed him behind.

“Kahan bhaag ke jaa raha hai? Tujhe Bani ke paas jaana tha. Jaa.” Balwant taunted.

“Abh toh Bani khud tere paas aa rahi hai.” Pawan added pushing him.

Bani grabbed him by the back of his throat.

“M…mujhe chod do, Bani. Main phir se kahin tumhe nahi dikhunga.”

Shakura tried to free himself.

“Shakura, kya kar raha hai? Aisa phadpada mat. Pata chala it is only instigating her snake instincts to eat you. Chicken tandoori ban jaayega.” Daksh taunted. Singhanias laughed.

Bani threw against the floor. Her foot on his throat.

“Aankhen khol ke acche se dekhle. Tere saamne Bani ya sweetheart nahi khadi hai. Adi-Naagin khadi hai.”

Shakura tried to move her foot but was futile. All the cheels just watched in fear. Shakura couldn’t even move her foot. She looked up at all the cheels.

“Aur koi hai jo apni takat try karna chahta hai?”

“Swweet heart…” Shakura tried.

“Ise akal aayi nahi.”

“Phir se yeh word sunayi diya mujhe toh yahi sar phod dungi. Tumne dekha hai. Patthar toot jaate hai, tumhara khaali sar kyaa cheez hai.” Bani hissed.

“Sweetheart….” Veer swaggered towards her. Bani raised an eyebrow as he stared at her.

“Kisi ki maut aayi hai aur ise abhi romance soojh raha hai? Yaa toh yeh pagal hai yaa ise darr hi nahi hai.” Some cheel commented.

“Arrey… problem kya hai? Agar maut naseeb mein ho aur saamne wala pal haseen ho toh haath uthane mein nahi, sar jhukane mein mazaa hai. Woh dase toh yeh na lage ki usne hara ke maara hai. Balki yeh lage ki haar ke mare hai. Dil haar ke.” Veer answered leaning against a stone and staring at her. Bani gave him a look.

“Kaisa cheelon ka Rajkumar hai yeh? Iske saamne hi ek cheel ko iss naagin ne maar diya aur yeh bas dekh hi raha tha.” Nikhil tried to instigate the cheels. Bani whipped her head to look at him.

“How about you say that to my face, Nikhil Parikshit.” Bani challenged. Her tone wasn’t to be taken lightly. “Bohot problem hai tumhe mere Shakura ko marne se toh khud aake bachao na. Then they’ll all hail you as the prince. Aao.”

The Singhania chuckled.

“Kya hua? Nahi try karna. Bhabhi kahengi toh definitely Veer bhai tujhe taaj de denge.” Ponky laughed as he taunted Nikhil.

“Naagin hun main. Anyone tries to come against my people or me, I’ll deal with them.” Bani answered. Bani moved her foot. Shakura got up. Bani struck fast. Shakura fell down. The flesh burning away with the effect of the venom. Shakura couldn’t heal himself at all. Blood kept flowing down. “Aur ek naagin, apna badla leke hi rehti hai. Tumhari itni himmat hui hai ki tum mujhe zabardasti apne kisi stupid asmaan ke mehel mein le gaye, wahan mujhpe koi jaadu karke meri shaktiya le li. Phir mujhse zabardasti shaadi karne ki koshish ki. Yeh sabh kaafi nahi tha toh tumne Veeranshu ko bhi maarne ki koshish ki. Mere saath games khelne se pehle sochna tha.”

“Veer ke idiocy mein sabh shaamil hona chahte hai hai.” Nikhil said and went with a few more words that didn’t sit well with Bani.

“Apni zubaan control mein rakho.” Bani hissed. The hall felt silent. “You are speaking about my husband. Theek se baat nahi kar sakte toh apna muh band hi rakha karo. Aur bohot shauk hai bolne ka toh main hi muh band kar deti hun.”

Bani walked ahead towards Nikhil. The Singhanias had learned that expression. Even all of them together could hold her back. Veer grinned and then laughed.

“Sweetheart… Gharwali….” Veer moved ahead from his spot to Bani. He wrapped one arm around her waist casually. It took 6 of Singhanias to slow her down but one Veer was enough to keep her at bay. That said about Veer’s own strength. “Inn sab ki baton ko mind nahi karte. I’ll tell you a secret. I don’t deal with them in a fit of temper. Na. Ismein itna maza nahi hai. Veer Singhania apne dushmano ko dheere dheere tadpa tadpa ke maarta hai. Yeh toh abhi chuza hai. Ande se nikal ke duniya dekhni shuru ki hai.”

“Then tum samjhao use ki apna muh band rakhe yaa main permanently band kar dungi.” Bani added.

“Sweetheart, samjho. Dil jal raha hai bechare ka. Sapna toot gaya na.”

Veer knew better how to keep all the cheels on their toes. They all responded to fear. The cheels weren’t so foolish as to come into Nikhil’s words and try to attack Veer. It would be calling to their own death. Veer would rip them apart before there’s a chance to even scratch him. What added more to Veer’s action was how casually he was with Bani. Adi-Naagin. They had all learned how powerful Bani was. Veer was so casual around her. The way she let him reign her. It took 6 of Singhanias to stop her but Veer alone was strong enough to control her. He matched her strength. Together, they were unmatched. As long as Bani and Veer stood together, taking away the reign of either of them was as impossible as Veer gaining hatred for Bani.

Veer casually moved her. Bani’s eyes stayed on Nikhil, daring him to say another word about Veer.

My perfect stress reliever❤️

Amazing , Fabulous and beautifully written.

I loved how you explain the fight scenes because we wanted to see Bani like this in the serial the sarvashret Adi-naagin

Hats of to you for writing such a mind-blowing story which captures every aspect of vani and naagin. 👏

Seriously Didi I am just amazed and I have only one request , please don't wrap this up any time soon 😳 because we need time to accept the fact that naagin 5 ended and we can't see vani anymore on screen.

I am an aspiring writer and I am proud to say that I am inspired by your hardwork

Keep it up Didi ( I don't know I am still doing my board exams so I think you are my Didi )

Update soon 🙈🔜

So gripping. You have this ability to enthrall and engross your readers in your story. Readers are able to sketch out minute details of the scene with just a few words from you. And very few writers are able to keep readers hooked like that. Sheer and raw talent. 👏👏

The whole concept of bani's guilt on killing aakesh is brilliantly written. I had wondered if they would bring this scenario in the show but alas!!

Anyhow, back to the point, aakesh for me is very unevolved, almost raw version of veeranshu. To me his emotions have always felt very primitive and almost animal like. Just like a animal in wild feels love but his love has a element of possession attached to it.

While on the other hand, naageshwari had had a rather complex and more human like way of dealing with emotions.

Love is a very complex emotion and has many other feelings attached to it. From care, nurture, sacrifice, possession, jealousy. Love comes with lot of emotional strings attached. And aakesh might have felt this deep love for naageshwari but he IMO couldn't and wasn't able to handle all these emotional strings because as you rightly wrote, aakesh ki zid thi naageshwari. Pyaar tha, par zidd jyada thi.

A bird born in cage doesn't survive the wild for long. Aakesh had never known love ,never felt love thus never understood it completely. And that's why his love took the form of "zid". While Veeranshu, Veeranshu's love can and has survived the wild jungles of love.

For me, Veeranshu is the "perfect" version of aakesh possible.

It is always said that when you let your emotions overpower you, rule you. It either leads to greatness or to your downfall. When emotions rule, either they have to be for the right reasons or they have to be the right emotions. Bani's guilt was neither a positive emotion nor she felt it for the right reasons. This incident was a good lesson for Bani. She needs to learn to let go of things when they're done and over with. Whether it's her anger over jay/hriday, or her guilt for killing aakesh. Jay has paid for his deeds with his death and she has paid for killing her soulmate with a 10000 years old curse.

Bani in her anger is a sight to see.🤩 The whole fight scene was raw, electric and brilliantly thrilling. This is the second time someone has attacked veer in an effort to hurt and defeat bani. First that dhaabevala when he dragged veer into the river during the naagpaash fight. Now, this kachra tried to attack veer in order to defeat bani.

Cheelu baby you're attracted to bani when she is angry because you have that constant need for thrill and danger. 😆 Bani when angry is dangerous, unpredictable and all fire and we all know how much you love playing with fire.

Nikhil parikshit is an idiot of the first order.🤓All cheels know how brutal bani can be. They've seen the carnage she can do and rightly so are afraid of her. But parikshits it seems, need a stronger lesson and a firmer hand.

But really, taunting bani..For once I'll even forget that Bani can easily kill nikhil brutually. But veer, seedhe words mai kahu toh ek baar veeranshu singhania ka maatha khatka na toh aisa haal krega ki khud ko pehchaan nhi payega nikhil parikshit.😆

Cheels might see veeranshu casually behaving around bani as a show of his power. But in reality, its a show of his love and trust in bani.
