Chapter 69
Markaat was a tyrant. A monster that infested the world. Yet, Veer couldnât stop the pain emerging from his chest. All that Veer paid with to reach the end. To end Veer. Twice, he saw the woman who gave birth to him die before his eyes. The loss of his innocence. As Aakesh he never had space for innocence.
Yet, it was the truth that it takes a monster to kill another monster. He was the perfect heir of Markaat. He had the same madness. Veer wanted that violence singing in his blood to stop. The song of violence was subsiding. Markaat had picked on the disastrous side of him.
He kept pouring water over himself to calm himself down but still that crackling violence under his skin didnât settle down. The beastâs hunger hadnât subsided and refused to leave until it was fed.
The blood flowed down with the water as Veer tried to drown that song of violence ringing in his ears. He sat down in the bathtub. He pushed his head back against the rim of the tub. The anger and rage werenât leaving.
Bani walked in and saw him. It took one look to let her know that Veer wasnât okay. She walked ahead towards. She sat at the edge of the bathtub.
âBani, please jaao. I have no control over myself right now. That rage isnât leaving me. The violence wouldnât douse out.â Veer felt agitated. He was trying to cut that rage with irritation. Bani smiled at him. One thing she knew was more powerful than any other emotion in him. His love for her. She offered him her hand. Veer sighed but gave her his hand. Bani entangled her fingers between.
âYou remember uss jab puri tarah andhera ho gaya tha toh I felt uneasy. But you stayed with me and held me close to you. Waise hi, youâre running from yourself because youâre scared that youâll end up being a monster like Markaat. That uneasy feeling in your heart is keeping you from relaxing.â
Bani pressed his forehead against hers. Every single emotion inside him dwarfs down when clashes against his love for her.
âI donât want to be the next Markaat. What if soon enough, I become like him too? Sanki aur pagal toh pehle se hi hun. Uski tarah mental patient ban gaya toh?â
âIss duniya mein agar koi hai jo tumhe puri tarah control kar sakta hai toh woh main hun, Veeranshu Singhania. Aisa kabhi hua hi nahi hai ki maine tumse tumhara haath maanga hoga aur tumne nahi diya ho. Pichli baar I failed to understand why you and I crossed paths, Veeranshu. Abh jabh mujhe pata hai toh chance hi nahi hai ki Iâm going to mess it. Especially since tumse itna pyaar hai. Mujhse tume koi nahi cheen sakta. Tum bhi nahi. Sawaal hi nahi aata tumhe chodne ka. Is musibat ko apne gale tumne hi bandha hai.â
Veer chuckled. Bani knew she had to distract him from all that worry. Veer was generally someone who is quick to organize himself. Markaat had picked on the insane side of him. Now his mind had become highly chaotic. That wasnât giving him the space to think and calm down.
Bani leaned close to him and kissed his lips. Veer held the back of her head and kissed her passionately. They pulled away when it became necessary to breathe. Bani kissed his cheeks. She helped him take off his jacket and shirt. Then took out his boots. She poured water over him, cleaning off all the blood. He just stared at her. She got him to get off the bathtub.
Three days past the incident, Bani decided she was going take him out. Enough of staying inside the house.
âMaine yahan kapde rakhe hai. Change kar lo.â Bani told him. By the time, Veer came out changing his clothes, Bani was ready. She wore black jeans, his white buttoned up shirt and her boots. There was a bag on the bed. He noticed a dress put in the bag with his black suit. There was a small box. Her makeup bag. Veer was confused.
âGharwali?â Veer asked. She turned around. Veer could swear, his heart burst out with pleasure. It resembled that heart eyed emoticon. The sleeves came till the edge of her fingers. She didnât button up the sleeveâs cuff. The possessive side of him melted at that. She looked so much like his. Veer had always assumed that a girl wearing her boyfriendâs shirt was quite cliched and silly. Yet, when Bani wore it, it was altogether a different feeling. Without shouting it on top of her lungs, she subtly let him know that she was his. Her hair was left open.
Her style was comfortable, a little bratty but still looked really well. She picked up the Veer Singhania style well.
âReady?â
âJaa kaha rahe hai?â Bani held his hand and started walking out.
âWell, 6 mahine hue hai humari shaadi ko. We know quite a few things about each other par phir bhi kuch cheezein hai jo hum nahi jaante hai. We started off on a bad note. Kaafi saari cheezein hui. Jab ek dusre ke liye pyaar aaya toh we were both stuck with our own enemies. Abh woh sabh nahi hai toh we have some time to focus on each other before I start getting busy.â
âTumne job ke baare mein kuch kiya hai?â
âWell, Iâve put up my CV letâs see kya hota hai. Matlab I have some confidence that my CV has got good recommendations ki Iâd get a job.â
âTumhe pata hai na ki Tapish bhai runs a company, tum unke saath kaam kar sakti ho.â
âVeeranshu Singhania, while sometimes your possessiveness and obsession seems romantic and cheesy, you canât be a control freak.â
âControl freak? Main?â
Bani raised her eyebrow at him.
âTum bilkul deny nahi kar sakte, patidev. Main ginke bata sakti hun every time youâve showcased that control freak behaviour. Kuch cheezon ke liye theek hai. Iâll deal with it but when its about my career, let me make my decisions.â
âOkay.â He shrugged his shoulders.
âTum dono kahan jaa rahe ho?â Balwant asked.
âWell, mera aur Veer ka day out hai. Raat tak wapas aa jaayenge.â Bani answered.
âDin mein bahar jaa rahe ho?â Balwant asked. Bani rolled her eyes. She put a few sandwiches on his plate, took away the whiskey glass and replaced it with juice.
âDaddyji, weâve got a chance here. Ek baat bataiye. 27 saal mein kitna waqt mila hai aapko chain ki saans lene ka?â Bani asked.
âIske saath bilkul nahi. Har din kuch nayi masti soojhti hai.â Balwant answered.
âExactly. Aap aaj chutti lo, maze karo, painting exhibition jaao, nayi paintings kharido.â Bani put an exhibition pass before Balwant. âAur 24 ghanto ke liye apne laadle bete ki responsibility mujhpar chod dijiye.â
âPar kaha jaa rahe ho? Lunch pe? Honeymoon pe? Kahan?â Balwant asked.
âA few places. Aap tension mat lijiye. One piece mein ise wapas lane ki responsibility meri hai.â
âBhaisaab, shaadi kar li hai Veer ne. Toh abh rehne do. Waise konsa rok lenge. Pehle ek hi ziddi tha, abh dono hai.â Pawan pointed out. âJaane dijiye.â
âBhabhi, hum bhi aaye? Lag raha hai aapne puri planning ki hai.â Ponky asked.
âOh⌠kebab mein haddi, dono akele time spend karne jaa rahe hai. Unke peeche hawaldar banne ki zaroorat nahi hai.â Sam hit Ponky on the head. Bani and Sam gave each other hi-five. âAcche lag rahe ho.â
âThank you.â
âBani, tumhari reservation maine kara di hai.â Tapish told her as he sat for breakfast.
âThank you, Tapish bhai. Short notice ke liye sorry.â Bani said.
âAadat hai. Veer sabh kuch short notice pe hi karta hai.â Tapish answered with a chuckle.
The two ate some breakfast. Veer took out his bike.
âAcha abh oth bata do ki kahan jaa rahe hai.â Veer told her.
âWell, generally jab ladka ladki date pe jaate hai toh they had some plans. Toh maine kuch plan kiya hai.â Bani showed him a card to an old game zone. Veer chuckled at that. Veer remembered that. He used to love going there. He and Sam would always go there and play all day.
âGame zone?â
âHaan. Well, mujhe kabhi mauka nahi mila Game Zone jaane ka. Mehek Dehek ko kabhi interest nahi tha. Mere kehne pe chachi kabhi mujhe nahi le jaati. I always wanted to go but never got the opportunity to go there. Uske baad, weâll have lunch at your favourite restaurant. Curtesy of Tapish bhai jinhone reservation kar diya hai. Then after lunch, Iâll take you to one of my favourite places. Then shaam ko we can go to some place you want to take me. Uske baad dinner aur phir ghar wapas.â
âWell, seems like we have a busy day.â
âWell, youd donât expect a day out with your wife to be simple as a regular date ki coffee peene jaayenge, lunch karenge aur wapas aa jaayenge.â
âGot a point.â Veer passed her a helmet. He wore his helmet and sat on the bike. Bani sat behind him.
The two started towards the Game Zone. In the way, everything he had to apply the brake, heâs do it a little suddenly. Bani would keep crashing against him.
âYeh kya hai? Purposely kar rahe hoâŚâ She complained.
âHaan. Toh stunts mat karo. Acche se pakad ke baitho.â
Bani rolled her eyes but still smiled and held him. Veer smiled when she held on to him. Driving around for a while, they reached the Game Zone. Veer felt a bit nostalgic when he came here. It had 6 years since he came here. It reminded him that he had missed Sam for 6 years. It was their release. Every time either of them felt down, theyâd come here together. Play till they got so tired and forget anything worrying them.
âMain aur Sam yahan aate the.â Veer told her.
"Sam ne hi mujhe diya that."
Bani entered the place. A child-like excitement came into her. She had always wanted to come here. Mehek Dehek enjoyed their girl hangouts and gossip sessions more. Meera di was busy with her studies majorly. Chachi wouldnât let her go with her friends. There were smaller ones in the malls were often overlook in favour of shopping.
Veer was getting the card recharged.
âSo. Abh batao. What game do you want to play?â
âI donât know. Letâs start with the first one.â
There were video games for kids. Bani went for the pinball game first. She was surprisingly good at pinball, air hockey, and foosball. Bani stuck out her tongue at him when she won.
âAww⌠cheelu baby haar gaya?â Bani teased him and then broke into laughter.
âTum dekhti jaao, Gharwali.â Veer and Bani started getting competitive on who could win more rounds of games.
They played around several games. They stood before the basketball game. Bani started getting frustrated on how she just couldnât get the basket. Veer laughed at her. Every single ball Veer got, he could get the basket.
âHaso mat.â Bani complained. He laughed. Veer walked and stood behind Bani. He held her hands and made hold the ball. Then threw the ball. It fell right into the basket. âTum koi jaadu kar rahe ho kya ball pe? Main jabhi basket karne ki koshish kar rahi hun, it isnât going. Tum basket daal rahe ho and itâs getting in the basket.â
âSkills, sweetheart.â He winked at her.
Veer finally found the game that Sam and Veer always played. Pool. They used to play several games but theyâd never miss a game of Pool.
âLetâs play Pool.â Veer offered.
âMujhe Pool khelna nahi aata.â
He took a cue stick and gave it to her. Bani had assumed that Pool was a game fancy people played. Cliched rich people game. Bani never learned to play pool considering she never went to a place that had a pool table. Mehek Dehek went to parties of their friends and learned to play pool there.
âMujhe nahi aata. Itâs a typical rich people game.â Bani commented. Veer laughed.
âGames do differentiate between financial status, sweetheart. We make that distinction.â
Veer started to explain the rules of pool to Bani. She nodded finally understanding it. Bani tried to use the cue stick but didnât go as planned. Veer walked to her with a grin. You can trust Veer Singhania not to miss a chance to play games. Especially his favourite one. He stood behind her. He placed his hands on her shoulder. He was good at transmitting his thoughts with a touch. Bani looked at him. He ran his hands down and held the cue stick.
âVeeranshu, weâre in public,â Bani whispered to him.
âApni biwi ko pool khelna sikha raha hun. Not a crime, is it, Gharwali?â He answered. To people looking, it still looked like a man trying to teach her how to play pool. Only Veer Singhania could have the skills to flirt and still make it look casual. Perhaps it was his casual attitude that didnât let people think otherwise. His expressions were normal. Veer then taught her how to play with the cue stick. The two started playing. Every once in a while, Veer would find an excuse to hold her hand then tell her how to play.
âSo, how do you enjoy pool?â He asked her.
âAbhi toh pehli baar khel rahi hun. Weâll see soon.â
âMaybe we should buy a pool table at home.â
âKitne funny ho tum.â
âIâm not joking. Sach mein. Isi bahane Iâll get to tease you.â
âKyu? The only place to flirt is while playing pool? What happened to Veer Singhaniaâs infamous flirting skills? Come down to playing pool?â
âChallenge mat karo mujhe.â
Bani stuck out her tongue at him. The two had just finished playing almost all the games. They gathered all the tickets. Baniâs arms were filled with it. She gave it at the counter and got a Groot toy. She smiled at that. They were almost leaving when Bani spotted a soft toy machine. The one which has a claw hand in a glass box filled with the most adorable soft toys.
âVeeranshuâŚâ She pointed to it. She tried it first but couldnât get it.
âHato. Main try karta hun. Panjo ke baare mein cheel sabse acchi tarah jaante hai.â
Bani moved away and tried to get a toy. 30 minutes on that game and Bani laughed. She was holding a soft toy eagle. Veer chuckled at that. Out of all the toys, so many of them, she chose an eagle. Out of all the unicorns, monkeys, teddy bears, ducks, and other toys, she chose an eagle.
âSee. Veeranshu, meet Veer.â Bani told him.
âStop calling it Veer. It is just a soft toy. You donât have to give it my name.â
âHaww⌠Veer ko bura laga.â Bani held the eagle toy to her chest and pet it. âBaby, Veeranshu ko ignore karo. Aisa hi hai yeh. Rude aur badtameez. Main bohot sweet hun.â
âBani, main kisi non living object ke saath compete karne mein interested nahi hun.â
âRude. This is Veer.â Bani pushed it on his face. Veer sighed.
âKya din aa gaye hai, Veer.â Veer muttered to himself. âPyaar ke chakkar mein abh soft toy se bhi compete kar rahe hai.â
Bani seemed pretty pleased with annoying him. She kept laughing. He started to walk away. Bani laughed and ran up to him. She held his arm. Bani laughed but poked him with the eagleâs beak.
âMain ise kahin chupa dunga, tumhe milegi bhi nahi.â Veer told her.
âNa⌠ise toh main apne saath hi rakhungi.â Bani said laughing.
âSweetheart, youâre 25, not 5.â
âAge has got nothing to do with liking soft toys. Aur Veer ko fark nahi padta. He still likes me.â
âI canât believe thisâŚâ Veer groaned. Bani put the toy in the bag and the two went for lunch. They went to Veerâs favourite restaurant. They chose a corner table to give them some private time. The two gave out their order.
âAbout your job. Kabh apply kiya?â Veer asked.
âLong ago, actually. Even before Jay offered me to manage his restaurant. Iss beech mein kuch job offers aaye bhi but I didnât know ki main juggle kar paaungi yaa nahi. Weâre all sworn into secrecy that we have to majorly keep it off the radar. Family ko bata sakte hai but we canât go around opening it out to the world. Aur jaisi mushkilein thi toh mujhe samajh nahi aa raha tha ki kaise juggle kar paaungi. Bas isiliye accept nahi kiya. But recently do teen offer aaye the, so Iâm checking over it.â
âYouâre still into advertising?â
âHaan. Matlab Iâve wanted to do there. Its like a good mix of marketing and arts. Toh bas isiliye. Iâve been interested in it for long. That toh chachi was forcing me to get a job quickly isiliye I had to accept Jayâs offer.â
âToh kuch socha hai ki konsa accept karna hai?â
âAbhi puri tarah decide nahi kiya hai. Iâm looking at the pros and cons. Thereâs Design Hearts. Theyâve got a good pay. Work bhi accha challenging hai. Majorly leaning towards it. But time schedule hectic hoga.â
âWell, if youâre sure then go for it. Waise, we should go for a movie sometime.â
âJust for your information. I hate horror movies. Iâm easy to be scared off.â
Veer broke into laughter at that. Bani. Adi-Naagin. She gets scared of horror movies.
âSeriously, Bani? We have perhaps seen worse than those horror movies.â He laughed at her.
âExactly. To know that all that shit could be true. Mujhe repeat telecast nahi chahiye unn sabkha jo actually true incidents ho sakte hai.â
Veer just laughed while the waiter brought their food.
âStop laughing. Itna bhi funny nahi hai.â Bani complained. Veer still laughed.
âIt is funny, sweetheart.â
Bani and Veer both knew all the deep things about each other. Their character quirks, their food habits, their living habits. They knew each otherâs childhoods. Their tragedies. Their family problems and stuff they had handled. They didnât know all the superficial things about each other. The most were they knew each otherâs favourite colour and favourite food. The two talked about their favourite movies, their favourite books, and cartoons while they had lunch.
Chapter 70
Veer woke up to the sound of his phone ringing. Bani was still sleeping in the hammock next to her. She snuggled up perfectly next to him. Her arms around him. The was something about the way it felt when she fell asleep holding on to him. She doesnât generally sleep like this when they sleep on the bed. He moved her hair. He picked up the phone.
âHaan, bol, Sam.â
âVeer bhai, jaise aapne kaha hai. Sam humne ready kar diya hai.â
âPerfect. Tum sabh niklo. Main Bani ko leke wahan jaata hun.â
âBox yahi chod dein?â
âHaan.â
Bani had brought him to a lakeside. It was her favourite spot. The two were lying on the hammock and talking about several things. None of them realized when they fell asleep. It was already 5 in the evening.
âBani⌠Sweetheart.â He woke up. She groaned for a second. Then noticed that it was already evening. The two got up.
Veer stood before Bani.
âLetâs go flying.â
âNice thought but I canât fly.â
âBike ride nahi hai. Hold on tightly. Can afford a slipup.â
âEk minute. Kya?â
Veer turned around and signalled Bani to climb up on his back.
âGod mein utha ke le jaa sakta hun but you wonât feel much of the feel that way. So, I think this is better.â
It almost seemed like a piggyback ride at first but then the wings unfurled. A gush of wind. The wings started flapping and Veer flew up towards the sky. The tall trees got smaller and smaller. At a point, their seemed like the size of grass. The wind passed through them. She had never smelled that kind of fresh air. The flapping of wings stopped and it was just stretched open. They were gliding through the air. Veer had held on to her legs properly.
Bani had to admit, she could understand why birds loved flying so much. It was whole different feeling to be flying. The gravity not withstanding against the love of the sky. It was much better than bike rides. She had been on giant wheels but this was way different than that. She opened her arms and the wind graced her. She tried to flap her arms in the same way as his wings flapped.
âHold on tight.â Veer told her. His voice had a grin. Bani knew he was going to show off his acrobatics.
âVeeranshu, suno -â
Veer suddenly dived. Then took swift turns. Twirling around in the air. Bani couldnât even have a guess on how far the ground was from them. A Naaginâs elemental attachment to the ground let her know how high she was from the ground. She could feel the distance from the ground even while standing at the terrace of a 25 floors tall building. At the height Veer was fly, she couldnât even guess how high she was off the ground. That meant she was really high in the air.
âYou fine there?â Veer asked her.
âHaan. I swear. The only time ever Iâve felt jealous of you.â
Veer laughed.
âGharwali ko jabhi udne ka mann kare, banda haazir hai.â
Bani looked at him, leaning a little further towards him. Veer turned his head. There was a little flapping of wings and then back to gliding in the air. They were so high up the air that it would be impossible for anyone to see them.
âBani, gir jaaogi.â Veer tried to tell her.
âNahi girungi. Relax.â
Veer felt coils around his waist.
âBani??â Veer asked. She conveniently twisted herself around him. She had coiled herself in a way that she could face Veer. They were flying horizontal to the ground. Veer felt like he had a python coiled over him. Bani laughed at his expression.
âOdd?â
âThoda sa. I mean I know that youâre half serpent and all but to feel in full force.â He chuckled. Flash red snake coils and above her waist, she was human. She had her arms around his neck. She looked into his eyes. He just couldnât look away. There was some pull to her eyes. Her blue eyes. The part of him that was still picking up on Aakesh just couldnât help but grab her tightly. Bani could feel his grip on her.
Bani let go of her arms from his neck.
âBani, are you mad? This isnât funny.â
âIt doesnât feel funny. It feels different. Like I have always loved the ground and the earth under my feet but I guess the sky is different.â
Veer pointed to her. The sky was a beautiful shade of pink, red, and violet. Watching the sunset in the sky is exactly different. It almost illuminates all the clouds. It is like a sharp reminder to Bani of the science she learned in 5-6th grade. Clouds are water vapors. Hence, the light shined over it and illuminated its colour. The skyâs natural prism. To remind her of natureâs beauty.
After a while, Veer dived down. Once he landed, Bani got off him. Bani knew this place. Exactly the first place Nageshwari and Aakesh met. It was already getting darker. Everything looked almost the same except that there were fairy lights decorating the place. It was really beautiful. She smiled.
She was looking around the place. Veer found the box that Veer asked Sam to get for him. A small bracelet box.
âYeh kabh kiya?â
âSweetheart, tumhara cheel kuch bhi kar sakta hai. Well, this place is really special to me. Jahan pehli baar tumse mila aur meri puri zindagi badal gayi. I felt all things I had never felt before. All the emotions I had forgotten to become Markaatâs killer machine. Tumse mila toh jaise mujhe meri zindagi mil gayi. I was doing as was expected of Aakesh but dil mein ajeeb sa akelapan tha, the odd feeling of not knowing where I am going or why Iâm existing. Tumse mila toh bas ek hi second mein yeh laga bas tumhe dekhne ke liye hi toh janam liya tha. Tumhe paane ke liye hi toh zinda hun. I know it sounds really misogynist and like a control freak but main humesha kehta rehta hun ki tum meri ho kyuki my world starts with you and ends with you. Pyaar ke siwa aur koi kaam hi nahi hai mujhe. Tum ho toh main hun, Bani.â
Veer opened the box and there was silver and diamond bracelet and a ring.
âVeeranshu, main -â Bani was about say that it wasnât needed. He went down on his knees. It surprised her. He wasnât someone to kneel down before anyone like that.
âBe mine forever?â
âYeh bhi sawaal hai? Humari shaadi ho chuki hai, Veeranshu. A little too late to make a marriage proposal?â
âShaadi ho gayi, Bani, Takrar bhi ho gayi, pyaar bhi ho gaya. Iâm asking you to be mine in every life time. Sirf is janam mein nahi, har janam mein. Har zindagi mein. Forever. Iâm asking you to be mine completely and totally. Exactly the way you are. No takebacks. Tumhari zidd, tumhara pyaar, tumhara gussa, tumharai ladai, tumhari problems, tumhari khushiya, tumhare dard, everything that makes who you are. I want all that. Mujhe tum chahiye without conditions apply. I am already yours without any conditions. Pura, haq se.â
Bani smiled at him and gave her hand to him. He put the ring on her finger. He smiled happily and stood up. Bani looked at the ring. It was a diamond ring. Vani engraved on it. When she looked at her palm she saw Aakesh Nageshwari engraved on the ring.
âAakesh and Nageshwari?â She was surprised.
âHmm⌠Because Aakesh and Nageshwari couldnât be one, isiliye unke naam alag alag likhte hai. Ek nahi ho paaye but humesha ek saath hi honge. Jabhi tumhe Nageshwari ki yaad aaye, uske saath humesha yahi yaad aaye ki Aakesh ne sabse zyaada pyaar usse kiya hai. If they canât be one, theyâll always be right next to each other. Thatâs how it had become but Veer aur Bani. Veer aur Bani humesha ek hi hai. Sirf ek saath nahi, ek bhi hai. I donât want us to be just together, I want us to be one together. Always a team. Chahe jo bhi ho.â
Bani smiled at him. A thought passed Bani. She changed into her human naagin form. There was a dark red cape attached from her shoulder. Veer looked at her. The perfect resemblance of both Bani and Nageshwari. The same innocence and grace that Nageshwari had but that unconditional love and flirting look that Bani had for him. She winked at him and started running ahead. She looked so beautiful. Almost angelic. It seemed like a dream. She playfully started running around. Veer turned into his human cheel form. Black-clad, gothic accessories, and black boots. He started running behind her.
Bani laughed as she ran around, sometimes running ahead while facing him. She playfully kept dodging him. Her anklets and jewellery made noise as she kept running.
âKya hua, cheel ki tezzi kam pad gayi?â She teased him.
âMujhe challenge mat karo, sweetheart.â
After a moment, they reached a dead end. Veer stopped running. Bani turned to face Veer. He started to circle her. Her eyes on him, not moving away from him. Almost reminder of Aakesh and Nageshwariâs first meet. Only this time there was no naag between them. Just both of them. Veer and Bani. Aakesh and Nageshwari. The ring that Veer made her wear was still there. Veer just smiled at that. There were just small things that made him feel so happy. Bani was poetic with her love. Veer was grand crazy with his love. There wasnât a comparison to them. They werenât Laila Majnu. Neither were they like Romeo Juliet. Neither were they like Shah Jahan and Mumtaz who needed monuments to prove their love. Nor were they like Paris and Helen whose love was just one grand affair. Veer and Bani were their own kind. They didnât let the rivalry defeat them. Didnât let the enmity of Naag-Cheel defeat their love and end their story. No, they rose victorious against it.
âTum kahin bhi chali jaao, sweetheart. Tumhe sirf mera hona hai at the end.â
âEnd mein kyu? Abhi se kyu nahi?â
Veer grinned. His colors were beginning to show up on Bani. She was singing the same love tune as him. Now, out without inhibitions, without worries, without boundaries bothering her. She had truly found her freedom.
Veer held her hand and kissed her fingers. âIf you may allow, my Queen, Iâd like to take you to dinner.â
âOf course.â
The two changed into their human form as they walked. He drove them towards the caves. The forest behind the caves. There was a waterfall near it. A romantic dinner setting. White table and chairs, red carnation flowers, wine glasses, a bottle of wine, some candles, food set on the table with lid on it. Fairy lights and lanterns decorating the place around. White translucent curtains added as decoration. A small lake forming from the waterfall nearby. Just the perfect setting for a romantic dinner.
âTum bhi change kar lo, main bhi change kar leta hun.â Veer suggested. There a red curtain giving her privacy to change her clothes. She changed into her pink dress and Veer wore the black suit she had packed for him. He pinned a red carnation flower to his red suit handkerchief. Bani wasnât fond of roses so he chose carnations.
She came out to see Veer checking on the dinner. Veer turned to look at her. She looked really beautiful. He smiled at her. There was a small speaker which played some romantic music.
âBaitho.â He pulled her a chair for her. He sat opposite to her. Sizzler plate. Veer poured some wine into the two glasses. âYou donât have to drink the whole thing. Just a little.â
âCheer, then,â Bani said with a smile. The two ate dinner. Bani was really happy. After a long time, she felt that finally, her life was on the right track. She felt happy to have Veer with her. He was the perfect husband. No idea how a bad boy like him could become such a perfect husband but she was glad he was hers. She took a sip of wine.
âTumne Sam se kaha yeh sabh karne ko?â Bani asked.
âSaare bhaiyo ne thoda thoda kiya hai. I had told them the decorations I wanted beforehand. Ponky and Daksh brought it while Sam and Tapish bhai put it together.â
âImpressed. Quite impressed.â
âI know. If only I knew how to cook, Iâll be a full package, na?â
âAgar tum khana bhi bana lete toh mujhe doubt hone lagta ki tum meri imagination toh nahi.â
Veer laughed.
âRelieves me from the pressure of annoying Tapish bhai with ruining his kitchen.â
Bani chuckled. The two finished their dinner. Veer started taking her towards the long grown roots near the large stone wall.
âKahan?â Bani asked.
âBas aao na.â
Veer moved the roots a bit to show a stone staircase. It was really narrow to easily be hidden behind the roots. He led her ahead into a familiar window side. He jumped from the window inside the room. Bani knew this room. Aakeshâs room.
âYeh Aakesh ka room haiâŚâ Bani exclaimed. Veer was surprised. How did she know this?
âTumhe kaise pata?â
âJab main yahan aayi thi. Shukla banket oh Markaat ne mujhe kaha Aakesh ke room mein aake kuch dhudhne ko ki kahin kuch mil jaaye uske kaam ka. Thatâs how I know.â
Bani noted that the whole room was decorated this time. Aromatic candles, and lights. Bani was standing there looking at them.

Veer just looked at her standing there in the room. The feeling in his chest was unexplainable. Like after 10,000 years of waiting for it, he finally had her. She was right here. Exactly where he had wanted her since he had seen her. Love was definitely there between them. The kind that drives him crazy. Yet, he had to admit that the lust was also on high voltage. Her scent called to him. Bani sat on the chair. She put up her feet on the table. He chuckled at that as she tried to mimic exactly as Aakesh would behave. She got up and tried to circle him the same he did. Veer grabbed her hand and pulled him to her.
âSweetheart, yahan sirf ek hi Aakesh hai.â
Bani escaped his hold and sat on the chair again. Veer walked to her and pulled her off the chair. He sat on the chair and pulled Bani to sit on his lap. She knew that look in his eyes. He ran his fingers through her hair. He stared at her lips. She had always been told she looked beautiful. She would just smile and thank them for the compliment but Veer. Veerâs gaze on her made some corner of her heart a little vain about her beauty. It was the way he looked at her like there couldnât possibly be anything more beautiful than her.
Bani leaned over him and kissed him. She felt his hand on her ankle. The boots came off her feet. His hands traveled the length of her leg from the ankle to the starting of the slit on her dress. The kiss was passionate. He moved his kisses down her jaw, to her neck, and then her shoulder. The nape of her neck. Her off-shoulder dress was enough of a tease. Bani sighed as the kisses continued. The way he ran his fingers over her arms, in the same direction, her scales flashed. She started to push the blazer off his shoulders. He pulled out his arms from the blazer and let it fall. They kissed again. The two stood up, not breaking the kiss.
Veer pushed her against the wall nearby. The air between them was pretty thick. He placed his hands on her hips and pulled her against him. He reached for the zipper of her dress and pulled it down.
âIf you want me to stop. Abhi keh do.â He told her. She kissed him as an answer and unbuttoned his shirt. Veer breathed heavily as she unbuttoned his shirt. He just stood watching her. He was pretty sure she knew how fast his heart was beating. His one arm was against the wall and the other hand slipped inside her dress, holding her waist. She pushed the shirt off his shoulder. Her eyes had the same lust as he did. He picked her up and threw her over the bed. He pulled the dress off her. He sighed at the sight of her. She was perfect. Every curve, every inch of her skin was perfect.
Veer moved the end. He pulled up her ankle and started kissing from there. Bani pushed her head further in the pillow as the kisses traveled up her mid-thighs. It continues up her pelvis, then her hips, and ahead over her waist. Working up ahead towards her chest. As he moved ahead, he made himself comfortable between her legs. Bani sighed as the kisses continued to tease her chest. Then up her neck to her lips. She could feel the effect of his lust. She wasnât the only one who was turned on.
Baniâs kisses were a little wilder. He pulled away and looked at her beauty. Bani blushed a bit. Her mind was in between liking the way his eyes admired and wanting to hide inside the blanket.
âYouâre beautiful, Bani.â He said, sighing. His voice was heavy with lust. He leaned back over her, kissing her lips. His hands traced her upper body, the other hand going down. She was wet. His fingers played with her. Bani moaned. Her mind a mess. All she could understand was the pleasure. Veer could feel her edge. She was going to have her orgasm. A moment and there was the first one. She looked like a gorgeous mess. He gave her a moment.
âIf you feel uncomfortable, let me know.â Veer told her.
Bani was breathing heavily. He took off his pants. Both of them were right there. Nothing to hide them from each other. He was beautiful. Every inch carved into perfection. The man could look hot with or without his clothes. Just like that. His heart and head were a mess. He had desired her for so long. Wanted to get in this moment for so long. There was no way to explain that feeling. The longing of several centuries to finally coming true before him. No one had the kind of control over him like she did. She was his salvation, his love, the very oxygen to his heart. He was her love, her darkness, and her strength and weakness at the same time.
Nothing had ever come close to the feeling that he felt when he was finally one with her. He had had sex before but nothing about any other time could be compared to this. Being with her. Both of them were left in a moaning mess and completely lost in their pleasure. There was nothing between them. There was the man she loved, someone who cared for her and was her other half.
The rhythmic movement of in and out. Bani and Veer, they both, had almost forgotten everything else. The pleasure was already flooding through their bodies. The world forgotten, everything forgotten. Just them. Baniâs fingers were almost digging into his back. Her moans were all the encouragement he needed to go a little faster. Veer was just as wild as the animal inside him and tried to keep the animal inside him at bay. He wanted to be gentle with her. As much as he could with that raging desire in him. Everything about Veer was passion and wildness. To hold back on it was difficult.
Bani pushed herself up, almost on top of him. She moved faster. Veer wrapped his arms around her tightly and dug his fingers in her hair. She kissed him. Bani was every inch as wild as him. By the time they finished, both of them were breathing heavy.
âLove you, Bani.â He whispered in her ears.
âI love you, Veer.â She said. The two collapsed on the bed. Veer pulled the blanket over them and closed his eyes.

Waiting for next chapters..we need our happy place more than ever to forget yesterday's nightmare faster.
Update kar diya. Enjoy
Updated... hope you'll enjoy
Hats off.....It's the one word that's been ringing in my head all the while I was reading your updates today....that forced me to post a comment ignoring my self-imposed restriction of not posting comments anywhere for a while....From the bottom of my heart....Hats off to you as a writer....Hats off for your fantastic and sensible writing.....Hats off to your logical reasoning and Hats off to your creativity and imagination....You are a truly marvelous writer!!!
I've been a silent reader and follower in this forum and also of your story....many times I thought of commenting but then as I said I'm on self-imposition so refrained from doing so...I'm sorry about that....but I've been observing the way you write....the way you give logical explanations to your scenes....the way you have developed your characters, not just VAni but all of them....you give equal due to each and every character in your story....you give logic and reason to what they do unlike the show.....you seek to make them better than they have been with every update....every character is always evolving in their own sphere in your story...be it Balwant or Mayank....be it Sam or Vanshika or Meera or Tapish or Daksh....be it Jay or Chandrakala or Shakura or Markaat.....be it Naag Vansh members or Cheel family.....everyone has a role to play and they are striving to do their best every time you write them....I loved that about your story the most.....!!!
Coming to your version of VAni....I truly find there's no comparison to them....even if they are inspired from the actual show, your version of VAni have evolved so much in their characters that they are now way out of league of the show's version....the way you showed them to be going through so many emotions ,trials and turbulences and yet standing with each other at the end of the day.....the way their relationship has transformed from a cocoon to a beautiful and colorful butterfly.....You deserve a big standing ovation from every VAni lover and you have one from me!!!
And I would like to mention about your writing separately.....it has the power to spell-bind the reader and force them to imagine and see what they are reading in front of their eyes....I don't know about others but it happens to me every time I read your updates...and it gave me so much pleasure reading the cave scene today....imagining that fight....it was like I was watching some high voltage VFX movie or something.....Truly Commendable.....
I don't know how many more parts you are going to write now that you have killed off Markaat....if this is going to end soon or not....I know the romance is still pending and there might be more to Alaknanda and Naag Vansh or not....but whatever you decide,I'm one very satisfied reader who is truly happy after today's update....it's a soul-satisfaction we humans get very rarely in this world...you gave me that and so a big Thank You!!!
I wish you a very good life and a really great future!!!All The Best!!!
Thank you so much â¤ď¸
