Chapter 49
“Jay, abh tum kuch bhi karlo, mujhe woh kara paaoge jo tum chahte ho. Mujhe agar kisi ko jawaab dena hai toh woh Bholenath hai. I’m not answerable to you all because tum sabh ne dimag mein bitha liya hai ki baat sunni hi nahi hai.” Bani made it clear to others there. Now that this was infront of them that the one who Bani had married was the incarnation of Aakesh, there was no way to claim that he didn’t love her. The whole question didn’t arise because whole naaglok knew it. Aakesh had died for Nageshwari.
“Main ise nahi manta.” One of them commented. Bani turned to look at them.
“Abhi kaha na, mujhe sirf Bholenath ko jawaab dena hai. Agar unhe koi mushkil hai toh bas abhi sabhke saamne hi mujhe yeh keh dein. Main har ek sawaal ka jawaab dene ke liye tayyar hun.” Bani claimed. “Humesha hi mujhe Bholenath ne sahi aur galat bataya hai. Jab Aakesh ko maar diya toh Bholenath ne mujhe uski saza ki di. Aur agar yeh galat hai toh iski bhi saza denge. Abh tum sabh agar yeh kehna chahte ho ki Bholenath galat hai toh abh main kaise hi samjhau.”
“Bani, ek baar phir soch lo. Ho sakta hai ki iske baad tumhari popularity hi khatam ho jaaye.” Shreya told her.
“Dadi, main aaj bhi kahungi jo humesha kaha hai. Har woh naag-naagin jisne sach mein Naagvansh ke baare socha hai, maine uska saath diya hai. Abh baat popularity ki nahi hai. Mujhe Bholenath ne Sarvasresth Adi-Naagin banaya hai. Aur har mode par main iss baat ko prove kiya hai ki maine Naagvansh ke liye woh sabh kiya hai jo zaroori hai. Agar main Naagvansh ki Adi-Naagin hun toh ek patni bhi hun. Koi meri shaadi par sawaal kare toh khoon jalta hai. Jis din maine apni zimmedari nahi nibhayi us din sawaal karna. Yeh saare bekaar ke sawaal ka jawaab dena hi nahi hai mujhe.”
“Bani, tum galat kar rahi ho.”
“Tum yeh sawaal puchne ka haq kho chuke ho. Tum toh sahi aur galat ki baat mat karo. Tumhare muh se accha nahi lagta.”
Jay had begun to get angry.
“Bas bohot ho gaya, Bani. Acche se koshish ki tumhe sahi raaste pe lane ki abh toh shayad tumhare pati ki tarah samjhana padega.”
Jay moved ahead to attack her. Veer stood up, his rage in his eyes. Bani stopped him.
“Peeche hato.” She told him. The way Bani said it, Veer was surprised. It was not Bani Sharma. It wasn’t Bani Singhania. It wasn’t Bani at all. It was Adi-Naagin. Bani grabbed his throat before he could attack her. “Jo tumhare bas ki baat nahi woh mat karo, Jay”
The troop Jay had bought moved to attack Bani. Bani turned into her naagin form.
“Aakhri warning hai, peeche hato. Abhi tak maine respectfully baat ki hai. Jab main aise attack pe nahi utar aayi toh tum sabh bhi khud ko itna control kar hi sakte ho.” Bani warned them.
“Hume aur sunna hi nahi hai. Bohot sun liya. Aaj tumhe aur tumhare cheel ko yahin maar ke gaadh denge.” They tried to scare her. They were mistaking her for a 25-years old girl.
Bani simply defended herself. She didn’t want hurt her own kind and make the matter anymore easier for Jay to claim she wasn’t loyal to her kin anymore.
“Teri himmat kaise hui humare Veer bhai aur Bhabhi ke baare mein aisa bolne ki?” Sam grabbed him. “Tu gaadhega humare Veer bhai aur Bhabhi ko?”
“Sam, chod do use. Main bhi dekhu ki inki galat fehmi strong hai yaa mere iraade.” Bani told him. The cheels were confused. They were used to Veer’s action. If someone had tried to do the same to him, by now they’d be on the floor dead. Veer didn’t take kindly to anyone rebelling against him.
The way she so easily defended herself surprised Veer. She wasn’t like him. She had controlled her temper for so long especially when he knew how short tempered, she was.
“Tum sabh pagal ho gaye ho kya?” Mayank stopped the dagger that came up at Bani. “Hum mein se kisi ne bhi iss baat ke liye haan nahi kahi ki iss tarah se Adi-Naagin par hamla karein. Woh khud hum mein se ek hai. Yeh Adi-Naagin hai. Icchadhari Naagvansh shuru isse hota hai.”
“Agar irada yeh hota ki inhe Naagvansh ki maryada ki raksha karni hoti toh aise attack karte hi nahi. Starting se hi inhe sirf Bani ko maarne ke liye yahan bheja tha.” Veer commented. Veer showed them the photographs showing those naags with Jay and Chandrakala. “Bhul gaye kya, chote? Tere hi hotel ke upar meri company ne ek floor kharid liya hai. Tere hotel mein aate jaate har person ka photograph aur video recording hai mere paas.”
One of the naags stabbed her.
“Bhabhi….” Sam, Daksh and Ponky went to her. It was a momentary reaction and they grabbed the naag who stabbed her. Veer grabbed his throat.
“Himmat kaise hui teri? Yeh meri biwi hai.” Veer’s anger coursed through his eyes.
Several other naag-naagins were shocked that some cheels were defending Bani. They hadn’t expected it.
“Peeche hato.” Bani told them.
“Kya hai yeh, Bhabhi. Isne aapko maarne ki koshish ki hai aur aap is budhau ki baat sunke le rahi hai. Yeh hota kon hai sawaal karne wala?” Sam was annoyed.
“Peeche hato.” Bani said. They moved away begrudgingly.
“Tu bahar mil kabhi akele. Tabh dikhate hai tujhe ki cheel kya kar sakte hai.”
“Khatam kar do saare cheelon ko yahi.” Jay ordered. They moved to attack the cheel. None of the still had the dare to fight Veer out of fear that Aakesh had made for himself. Bani pushed Ponky behind herself when he didn’t seem to be able to take it alone.
The chaos became a little too much. Bani’s temper dam broke.
“Bas….” She hissed loudly and her smashed her foot against the floor. The hiss was so dangerous that it froze everyone in their spot. The temple started to shake. Bani’s rage moved the temple. The old pieces of stone started to fall down.
“Sweetheart ke gusse ka dam toot gaya hai.” Veer commented. Bani grabbed the throat of one of the naags who tried to brave her.
“Ek baar mein baat samajh nahi aati kya? Bas ka matlab hota hai bas.” Bani hissed at him. Her eyes red in rage. Her skin flashed the red scales with blue-black marks. The ones who had been brainwashed by Jay that Bani had forsaken Naagvansh and its rules were stunned. Till now, they had seen how calmly Bani was trying speak to them. “Main kisi bhi naag yaa naagin ki jaan nahi lena chahti par agar iske baad kisi ne bhi ladai shuru kiya toh khatam main karungi.”
Jay tried to move ahead.
“Unhe dara sakti ho. Mujhe nahi. Main Naagvansh ke saath khada hun.”
“Jay, apne muh se kitna jhooth nikaloge? Zeher toh saare naag-naagino ke paas hota hai but ir presumes instead of a venom sac, you have an organ that spits out lies.” Bani hissed at him. He tried to fight her but was futile. Bani was simply defending herself.
Veer couldn’t understand what she was trying to prove. Why wasn’t she attacking anyone? He knew it was just itching her to attack Jay. He could see the violence dancing under her skin.
“Bani, kya kar rahi ho? Yeh sabh tumhe maarne ke liye nikale hai aur tum bas defend kar rahi ho?” Veer asked her pushing away Jay.
“Tu beech mein aaya hai warna sabh theek tha…” Jay shouted.
“Aye… chup. Jab main apni biwi se baat kar raha hunt oh beech mein mat bol.” Veer growled. Jay tried to bite venom into Veer out of anger but Bani pushed Veer aside.
“Jay, apni limit mein raho. Veer ne tum par pehla vaar kiya hi nahi. Sirf dhakka maara hai. Not even the kind that would throw you against the wall or on the floor.” Bani reminded him.
“Adi-Naagin, main ya mere saathi yahan tumse ladne nahi aaye the. Yahan iss baat ko samjhane aaye the tumhe ki tum galti kar rahi ho. Ek cheel ko apna saathi maan rahi ho. Yeh naagvansh mein kabhi nahi hua hai.” Mayank made it clear. He wasn’t there to fight Bani. No. He was there to make a wrong into right. If this was turning into something as a conspiracy against Bani, he was walking away. “Abh agar yahan tumhe maarne ki saazish ho rahi hai toh main yahan se jaana chahunga. Na toh maine kabhi kisi naagvanshi ke saath ladai ki hai aur na hi karunga. Usse toh bilkul nahi jisko Bholenath ka vardaan hai. Kyuki agar tumhe vardaan unhone khud unki iccha se di hai toh tum uske kaabil ho. Hum sabh ne 100 saalon ke baad yeh vardaan paaya hai ki hum sabh icchadhari ban sake. Tumhe unhone khud yeh vardaan diya hai.”
“Saazish toh hai.” Bani said with a chuckle. By now, it was clear to Bani that a few of the naags were here just to try and pull down Bani and throw Jay up in the sequence. Now, as that plan was failing, they decided to take the King Cobra route. They tried to run and attack Veer. Bani pushed Veer behind her and faced the naag. The fierce look in her eyes made the stop for a moment.
“Ek Naagin ke saamne uske saathi ko maarne ki himmat mat karna bhari padega.” Bani warned. He tried to attack her but she defended herself. The naags pushed Bani away. He fell over the stairs of the idol.
“Bohot kar liya baat. Abh Adi-Naagin aur uske iss cheel ko hi khatam kar denge.” One of them exclaimed.
“Main phir se keh rahi hun. Peeche hat jaao. Main kisi bhi naag ko maarna nahi chahti. Tum sabh hi naagvansh ke ho aur main Adi-Naagin hun. Kisi bhi naag ki jaan lene ka irada nahi hai mera. Majboor mat karo mujhe.” Bani tried to tell them again. They didn’t bother to listen.
This time Bani caught the attack. Her eyes flared her rage. She grabbed his throat and threw him away. The naag crashed against the wall and fell down. The other naag picked up the trishul and tried to kill Bani with it.
“Bani….” Veer shouted. A certain energy stopped the trishul from even touching Bani. A golden airy energy stopped the trishul from touching her. Same golden light burned from the idol. How could Shiva ever let a trishul hurt someone who was his devotee?
“Trishul se Adi-Naagin ko marne ki koshish kar rahe ho? Woh bhi Bholenath ke mandir ke trishul se? Bewakoofi ki bhi hadd hoti hai.” Bani caught the trishul. She put it back where it was picked up from. Another tried to stab Bani but she stopped it with her magic. Holding back the dagger. She turned into her snake form and coiled around him. The cracking of bone was heard. The naag was old enough but he couldn’t stand the force of nature that Bani was. She hissed violently at anyone else who wanted to try and fight her.
The naags attacking her were the one whom Jay had managed to bribe. They just wanted to kill Bani somehow.
“Adi-Naagin, abh yeh kisi ki maan-maryada ki baat se aage badh chuki hai. Abh yeh saazish hai.” Bela agreed. “Saaf dikh raha hai isse ki Chandrakala ne aapko marne ke liye in sabhko yahan bheja hai.”
“Main phir se warning de rahi hun. Abhi waqt hai Chandrakala ka saath chod do. Main phir bhi use maaf kar du jisne mujhe maarne ki koshish ki hai. Par jisne Naagvansh ke saath gaddari ki hai, use main maaf nahi karungi.” Bani warned for the last time.
The naag had no cover anymore but attacked Bani again. This time she wasn’t defensive. Bani picked up the trishul next to her and impaled the naag over it. As the trishul pierced through the naag, blood spilled over her. Another naag tried to attack Bani and she attacked him with her venom. The naag fell to the ground shaking and writhing in pain. She grabbed another one of the naag by their throat and began choking him.
Veer just looked at Bani in shock. He knew she was capable of intense violence but to see her exactly like this was shocking. He had only heard once that every woman imbibed the element of Shakti. The Goddess. Seeing Bani fight like that only made him believe that. There was no other way to explain Shakti better than this. She’s benevolent but when you cross the line with her, she’s going to kill you. Shakti is the eternal Goddess. She killed several demons. You don’t mess with the Goddess. It is still possible to be saved from the Gods but once you cross the Goddess, there’s no escape. Death will find its way to you in the most violent ends. After all, Shakti was also Kali.
Bani threw another naag off and he fell right at the idol. Knocking over the oil lamp. The oil spilled and set fire to the curtains.
“Bani…” Aishwarya moved but even the fire would stop Bani. It didn’t even touch her. One by one, she hunt down the naags who had forsaken then vow to stay loyal to naagvansh.
“Jo tumne mere saath kiya hai, main use phir bhi maaf kar dun. Par agar samjhane pare bhi tum naagvansh ke khilaaf us Chandrakala se jaa miloge toh ant yahi hoga.” Bani told him. Her hands choked the throat. Crackling of bones was heard and the naag fell down dead.
Bani stomped her foot against the floor, the temple shook with the force.
“Ek baat pure naagvansh ko samjha diya jaaye toh sahi hoga. Jo bhi Chandrakala ke saath milke naagvansh ke khilaaf jaayega, use bhi yahi saza milegi. Main iss baat ko kabhi accept nahi karungi ki naagvansh ke sabse bade dushman se koi jaa mile. Aur naagvansh ke sabse bade dushman Markaat aur Chandrakala hai.” Bani made it clear. The way she stood there, covered in blood, it sent shivers down their spines. No one dared to counter her at that moment. Her eyes still burned with the rage. Bani could accept anything but not betrayal against her clan. She couldn’t forgive Aakesh betraying her and killing naag-naagins and hence killed him regardless of what her insides told her.
“Bani…” Veer touched her shoulder. “Calm down. Relax.”
Even the display of rage and violence didn’t scare off Veer. Veer took the small jugs of water that were kept in the temple so the devotees could pour water over the shivling. He took some water and poured it over her arms and cleaned the blood off her. No one would dare to step anywhere close to Bani. Not even her own naagvansh but the way Veer was so calm against her temper surprised everyone. “Breathe, sweetheart, breathe.”
Veer, himself, was capable of violence that would look worse than this. There would be corpses lying around with organs torn apart. Bani’s violence would fair on the righteous side but Veer’s violence would seem like Ares on a rampage. Violence incarnate. But there’s also an unusual calm with Veer. He had a lot control on his temper.
“Aaj toh main yeh baat prove kar hi dungi ki Bholenath ne bhi mere decision ko accept kiya hai.” Bani answered.
Bani took Veer’s hand. She lit the fire before her. Panditayin had already started to read the mantra. Veer just followed her. The sudden reaction brought him into shock.
“Bholenath, aapke saamne main agni ko saksh maan ke Veeranshu ko apna saathi maan rahi hun. Ek janam ke liye nahi har janam mein. Har shaadi mein 4 zaroori cheezein hoti hai. Ek bharosa. Veeranshu jabse mujhe mila hai tabse leke aaj tak usne mujhe us par bharosa karne ki wajah di hai. Khud chot khake bhi usne humesha mujhe bachaya hai. Dusra, pyaar. Yeh baat toh hai hi ki shayad koi itna pyaar nahi kar sakta mujhe ki jaan deke bhi phir se wahi pyaar ka pagalpan karne ki himmat kare. Veeranshu ko mujhse saccha pyaar hai aur mujhe Veeranshu se pyaar hai. Teesra, dono ek dusre ko barabar mane. Iss shaadi mein Veeranshu ne humesha hi mujhe barabari ka darja diya. Woh respect di hai jo har patni deserve karti hai. Chauta, Dheeraj. Jitna patience Veeranshu ne mere saath dikhayi hai utna shayad koi nahi kar sakta. Har mod par maine use kitna kuch nahi kaha phir bhi usne humesha hi mere liye patience dikhayi hai.” Bani told to the idol of Shiva.
“Agar iske baad bhi aapko lagta hai ki kisi bhi tarah se mera Veeranshu se pyaar karna yaa shaadi karna galat hai... Toh meri aapse prarthna hai aap aake ise roke. Mujhe pata hai ki Veeranshu aur mere beech kya hai. Aapko pata hai. Shayad itna pyaar kisi se phir na ho paaye. Itna pyaar shayad Nageshwari ko Hriday se nahi hua jitna pyaar mujhe Veeranshu se kyuki uski ek nahi hazaar wajah hai.”
Bani held Veer’s hand and walked around the fire. This much everyone in Naagvansh believed that with how much Bani trusted and had faith in Shiva, he would never turn down anything she asks of him. If she calls to him, he’d always answer back. In some way or the other.
Veer was just too stunned. He hadn’t been expecting this. He was expecting something like Bani going mad angry and breaking down the entire temple in rage. But not this. He never thought she’d someday be so bold to confess that she loves him infront of everyone who had opposed to it. Bani knew her respect and her image before her naagvansh mattered to her a lot. His eyes just froze at him. She was in her human naagin form. Not the ideal bridal finery but Veer didn’t have the mind to think of it. Veer was standing in his black jeans, plain grey full sleeved shirt and jacket.
“Main do phere le chuki hun, Bholenath. Abhi aapko nahi aana mujhe rokne?” Bani asked him. Bani continued with the rest of the phere. Nothing happened which would stop them. “Dekhiye, paanch phere ho chuke. Abh bas do phere bache hai.”
She continued and the seven circles around the fire had finished. Bani looked at the idol. “Agar yeh galat tha, Bholenath, toh meri prarthna thi kia ap mujhe rokne aaye. Saath phere le chuki hun. Abh peeche nahi hat sakti. Aap bhi mujhe bata de ki aapko abhi lagta hai aapne mere zidd ke wajah se mujhe yeh karne ki ijazat di hai yaa aapko bhi lagta hai ki Veeranshu hai mera saathi.”
Bani and Veer stood before the idol. Veer just looked at Bani. He was too stunned. Speechless with how she had suddenly put everything in this way. The bel leaves put over the shivling flew and fell upon the couple. Bani smiled at that. It was considered a sign that he had blessed them.
“Abh kisi ko aur kuch kehna hai?” Bani asked everyone there. None of them could say anything considering the entire belief that Bholenath had himself blessed them together.
“Ho gaya? Ya kisi aur ko aur kuch add karna hai?” Bani asked. The other naags left. Only ones standing were Bani’s family.
“Ek minute. Yeh sapna tha ya tumne sach mein mujhe shaadi ki hai?” Veer asked her. Bani turned and gave him a look. “Kya? Honestly, I’m still registering the shock. Aisa pagalpan sirf main karta hun. Out of both of us, you’re the sane one. I didn’t expect this kind of craziness from you.”
The guys laughed at Veer and his shock.
Jay got really angry and tried to attack Bani. Bani was fast. She bit him. That said, Jay started bleeding. The shock made him fall down and he injured himself further. Jay kept bleeding. It didn’t heal up. He couldn’t understand why he wasn’t being able to heal. His ability to heal himself was gone. He just kept bleeding out. Bani’s hemotoxic venom resulted in the inability of the blood to clot. His own venom was not being able to cut her venom.
“Jay, tumhe pata hai na? Mere zeher ka iss duniya aaj tak kaat nahi banaya hai. Best of luck with it. Abh jabh bhi tumhara khoon bahega and you don’t get it stitched, you’ll bleed out and die.” Bani reminded Jay. The fear poured into his eyes as the realization hit. There was no cure made for the venom that Bani had because no scientist had ever extracted that venom to make an antidote for it. Not to mention, she had three pairs of venom sac in her snake form which meant she could any mix of venoms as she pleased. All three kinds of venoms were present in her and she pleased, she could use them. So, if in a way one became immune to one of the venom, she still had eight other mix of venoms to use and kill. She wasn’t the deadliest for no reason.
“Bani…. Please… mujhe bachao.” Jay begged her. “Main phir se yeh nahi karunga.” Jay begged her.
“Kyu Jay? Tum toh mujhe bol rahe the ki main tumhari baat sun lun, mere liye accha hoga and all that.” A dangerous look in Bani’s eyes and she sat down next to Jay. She just simply sat there. Not helping at all. “Aadhe ghanta mein zeher puri tarah tumhari body mein chala gaya hoga. After that a little prick and you’ll keep bleeding out. Until the outer tissue heals itself.”
Bani got and started to leave.
“Are you really planning to leave him here and bleed to death?” Aishwarya asked.
“Acha hai na. Mar jaayega toh dharti par bhoj kam ho jaayega.” Veer commented.
“Bechara abhi Adi-Naag hai.”
“Bua, abh se mere nazron mein iss Adi-Naag ki koi respect nahi hai. Tumne toh Narayan ki kasam khaayi aur use tod di?”
“Maine nahi todi… Naagvansh se gaddari nahi ki hai maine. Bas tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai. Veer ne bhi aise hi zabardasti tumne paaya hai na?”
“Markaat ke saath ja milna dhoka hi kehlaata hai, Jay. Aur tum apne aap ko please Veeranshu se compare mat karo. Uska koi comparison hi nahi hai. Aasmaan ka koi comparison ho sakta hai kya?”
“Ufff…. Mera dil…” Veer was back to being dramatic.
“Ho gaya?” Bani asked him with a smile. “Chachu, yeh hai Veeranshu.” Bani introduced Veer to Amar. “Veeranshu, yeh mere chachu hai and meri chachi.”
The two shared an odd look.
“You’re not expecting me to get all soft at him, are you? Just because I’ve accepted this marriage doesn’t change ki yeh Aakesh hai.” Amar commented. Bani started laughed.
“Chachu, aap bhi na. Yeh kha nahi jaayega aapko.” Bani said.
“Bani, that is not the part. He’s not exactly the most ideal person. There’s a stark difference between me and him. See, I respect ki tume usse pyaar hai aur usse tumse hai and I’m definitely tolerating him for this warna yeh kaafi badtameez hai. Bohot dekha hai isse. Baccha tha tabhi badtameez tha aur abhi hai.” Amar commented. “And then again. Kisi bhi baap ko uski beti ka aashiq accha nahi lagta.”
Bani laughed.
“Thank you, chachu. I don’t expect you to get all friendly with him but aapne accept kiya hai, yahi kaafi hai mere liye.”
“I’m no one to make decisions for you, meri jaan. Chachu hunt oh itna kar sakta hun ki tumhe suggestion du but I don’t want to make decisions for you on your behalf. You’ve always been free to decide for yourself. Bas itna yaad rakhna ki main humesha tumhare saath hun.” He kissed Bani’s forehead.
“Whatever…” Shreya walked away. She was still sour that his granddaughter married a cheel. Veer and the cheels moved away chuckling.
“Aakesh…” Kushal looked at Veer.
“Veer.” He corrected.
“Ek hi baat hai. Tum wahi bacche ho na jo humesha Aishwarya ke cabin mein baitha rehta tha?” Kushal asked.
“Main ya Sam honge.”
“Jise aapne dekha tha woh Veer hi tha.” Aishwarya explained. “Pure cast ko black paint kar diya tha.”
“There has been several occasions when I had a cast toh pata nahi kabh dekha hoga mujhe.”
“Meri bacchi ka khyal rakhna.”
“Apni jaan se zyaada.”
Kushal patted on his arm and left.
“Congratulations.” Aishwarya hugged the two.
“Excuse the fact that yeh kuch zyaada hi adverse situation mein hua.” Bani said.
“Its okay. Humari family mein normal shaadi kisi ki nahi hui hai.”
All them walked out of Naag Mandir and saw Rishi and Kartik sitting on a bike. They spotted the group and went up to Bani and Vanshika.
“Di, seriously. Hua kya? Dadi looked angry.” Rishi asked.
“Uhmm… Uhmm…. Obvious nahi hai?” Kartik asked pointing to Veer who was standing next to Bani.
“Veer, yeh mere bhai hai. Rishi aur Kartik. Mere chachu ke bete hai.” Bhai introduced.
“Tum sach mein Aakesh ho kya?” Rishi asked.
“Tha.” Veer corrected. He didn’t understand why everyone kept calling him Aakesh. “Matlab. Sabh mujhe Aakesh bula rahe hai. 10,000 divya varsh ho chuka hai mujhe Aakesh rahe.”
“Chill, dude, personal kyu ho rahe ho? Naaglok mein sabh aapko Aakesh hi bulayenge because they recognize you as Aakesh. You’re like a 2.0 version.” Kartik commented. “Tumhe idea bhi nahi hai ki Aakesh ki popularity kya hai Naaglok mein. Most of the population is scared. The rest are just those who get a little too interested in Aakesh-Nageshwari stuff. Its like Romeo Juliet to them.”
“Oh. Yeh Romeo Juliet kaha se aaya? Aakesh and Nageshwari story bohot hi alag hai.” Bani commented. “Aur please. Iska ego waise bhi aasmaan se uncha hai. Neeche aane ka sawaal nahi aata tum aur mat udao.”
“Well, honestly speaking, if you had heard of the stuff he can do, you’d be impressed too. Matlab dude almost aasmaan ko control kar sakta tha.” Rishi pointed out. Veer chuckled.
“Things I could do until Markaat took away my cheel powers.”
“Tum cheelon ke Rajkumar ho na?” Kartik asked.
“Haan…”
“Ek minute. Mera idea kaam nahi aaya kya?” Vanshika asked.
“Pura karne ka time hi nahi mila. Hum gaye the shamshaan but wahan pata chala ki Bhabhi is in trouble with this whole stuff. Tapish bhai ne call karke kaha ki unhone office ke aage Chandrakala ko dekha. The office which is above us dhabewale ka restaurant. Toh sabh yahan aa gaye.” Sam explained.
“Kya plan tha?” Rishi asked.
“Well, so to brief up the events that happened in a few days. Markaat Veer ki body mein ghus chuka tha and tried to control him. Woh nahi hua and some how managed to get it back. Uske baad Markaat ne shakti le li. But considering he was inside Veer at some point, thodi soul energy traces toh honge na Veer mein. Toh I suggested them to go to some aghori and manipulate that to get back his powers.” Vanshika told them.
“Vanshika, yeh bacche hai. Inhe kaise samajh aayega?” Daksh asked.
“We’re 17 not 7 ki baat samajh nahi aayegi.” Kartik pointed out. “And do you realize ki ek side se yeh plan is faulty?”
“Faulty? Kaise?” Vanshika asked.
“See, everyone knows this. Markaat se saare cheelon ko shaktiya milti. Unlike us who get it either genetically or after 100 years of penance. Inko janam se milti hai. They’re all cheel by birth. They grow up as cheel. We grow up as human until we hit puberty when we finally get out naag powers. Jeeju ne kaha na abhi ki unki cheel ki shaktiya Markaat ne le li. So, what are the odds that he can’t do that again?”
“What?”
“V, think. Socho. It’s a circle. Its flawed kyuki phir jeeju ki shaktiya tubelight ki tarah flicker karenge. Also, we don’t know ki exactly kitni soul energy hai jeeju mein Markaat ki. Markaat ke paas 12,000 divya varsho ki collected potential soul energy. Even if we consider that jeeju ke paas unke khud ki 10,000 divya varsh ki collected potential soul energy hai. Markaat still had 2000 divya varsh more of the energy. You can’t compete with it so easily. Lets presume ki us mein se 70% kharch ho gayi while they were wrestling for control. Then some more for the whole exiting and entering a body. He’s still left with 20% of the energy. At the end of the day, jo shaktiyan milti hai cheelon ko it comes from Markaat. Jeeju energy manipulate karne mein successful ho bhi gaye toh Markaat use wapas cheen sakta hai. Kyuki we’re using his soul energy. He can control his own soul energy. Especially because’s got the same energy as of the demigods. Aur hume yeh nahi pata ki jeeju ke paas itni energy hai ya nahi Markaat ki that we repeat the whole process again.” Kartik explained.
The cheels and Bani just looked the twins and Vanshika having a conversation.
“Haan but ek half of soul energy manipulate kiya toh we can do the other half too. You know aghoris do that all the time.”
“You do exactly know ki Markaat ke khud ke paas limited energy hogi. He’ll use it scarcely. Chalo maan liya hum yeh yoyo khel bhi rahe hai but if the energy finishes when jeeju loses his power tabh?”
“Haan, but there has to be another way na.”
“V, yeh Aakesh hai. Same soul but different body. He has the same abilities.”
“Main abhi cheel nahi hun.” Veer cut the conversation.
“Ek minute. Beech mein mat aao. Important conversation ho raha hai.”
“V, he could control the sky. Toh possible bhi toh hai ki he can used runes to still control the sky. Not to mention they have some stone that allows this.”
“Gandhak? Haan it works in controlling the sky but abhi cheel nahi hun toh kyu sunega meri?”
“Gandhak sirf cheel rajkumar ki baat sunta hai because it has got its own rune. Gandhak par sky rune hai and that rune reacts to the energy in you. Markaat ne shaktiyan cheen li but the blood doesn’t change. You still have the same blood as that of your parents. The same genetic makeup. Anatomically, you lost your wings and talons but genetically make up abhi same hai. Because you’re all born as cheel rather than becoming cheel after a while.” Rishi answered.
“Toh agar Veer manages to use his own blood then it will make gandhak work the same?”
“Almost. Dekho. Maine sirf aisa suna tha ki Aakesh’s blood used to react to sky and sun runes.” Kartik commented. He took out a scalpel. “Thoda sa dard hoga but it will be fine.”
“Oh, hello? Kya? Yeh dissection kar rahe ho kya?” Bani asked.
“Di, aap thodi der baad apne lover form mein aa sakte ho? Ek minute.” Rishi asked.
Kartik carved two runes over his wrist.
“Ow…” Veer winced. Red blood oozed out from the carved rune but after a moment turned golden.
“Bro…” Kartik and Rishi both gave each other hi-five.
“If the sun rune works on him, he has to have some part of Garud’s line in him.” Vanshika commented.
“Hai. Isiliye cheel Rajkumar tha. Dono Garud aur Arun ke vansh side equally hai.” Veer explained.
“Good. Toh suno. I’m not sure but maine suna hai ki there is some kind of island of birds off coast of Mumbai. I have heard ki wahan ek energy block hai. That might help you. The only way to get you back your powers if you get it from somewhere else instead of Markaat. Gandhak use recognize kar hi lega. Yeh dono runes should help you control gandhak.” Rishi suggested.
“I really don’t know ki tum dono ko yeh sabh kyu pata hai.” Bani commented.
“Kyuki we’re talented, di. Abh aapke bhai hai toh thoda uss level tak aana hi padega na.” Kartik said.
“I hadn’t imagined ki hume kuch naag help karenge.” Daksh commented.
“Well, humne bas apne jeeju ki help ki hai. So, next time you need second opinion on magic, please do contact us.” The twins said together.
“Mujhe laga ki saare naag uss dhabewale ki tarah honge.”
“Adi-Naag? Na na…. Unlike him, some of us are actually useful.” Rishi pointed out. “Mujhe toh tabhi doubt hua jab woh humare ghar aa gaya. Oh, by the way, agar yeh successful hota hai please hume details dena ki exactly kya hua.”
“Main bata dungi.” Vanshika assured.
“Great then, Bani di. Aapki shaadi par congratulation. Please… itni jaldi hume uncle banne ka shauk nahi hai toh please do be careful.” The said. Bani hit them on the head. They laughed.
“Tum dono ke license bhi hai bike chalane ki?” Bani asked.
“Di, yeh kya hawaldar jaise puch rahe ho. Itni raat ko kon check karega. Even if they do, hum bol denge ki Veer Singhania humare jeeju. Sawaal hume rokenge.” The twin chuckled. All the boys and Vanshika laughed. Bani rolled her eyes at them. “Anyway. All the best, Jeeju. Humari naak mat katana.”
