I'm just gonna say this.
Aakesh was rather obsessive but if you compare that with Veer's behavior, you'll realize that there's a lot of difference. Veer's feelings aren't exactly obsessive but it's more like he's adamant that she has to like him. It's just naturally every other super confident stud guy you'll see around. He's like a typical college stud who has a lot if girls giving all the bhav and he's used to it. So, when someone who has caught his eyes doesn't give him the same attention, it makes him even more adamant to get her to like him.
I would compare Veer to exactly stalkerish behavior because stalkerish is a bit more than that. Stalkers usually deny that they're following them. Stalking is the person having all of your personal information that they have found out by extensively finding out everything about you.
I can understand if Veer seems stalkerish but I rather see see him as one of those pestering guys who can't quit. He does come off as a jerk several times but I don't know if I'll call it stalkerish. (Sorry for this but I'm quite a person for specific words. Stalker is a rather harsh word to use for Veeranshu. He's the high school jock kind of trope. Everyone loves him, he's the richest guy around. He's got that bad boy kind of trope.)
Veer's feeling for her is a bit too intense for him to quit her so easily.
I still presume that Vani would have come out because the comparison of the intensity of Bani's feelings for Veer and Jay are very different. Even while hatred, Bani's intensity outshines any soft corner attachment she has to Jay because of Nageshwari's love for Hriday. She has that intense feeling takes over. If her feelings for Jay were that strong, maybe then Jay-Bani had a chance but it doesn't go that strong.
