Amba : Dev.. tumhe kya lagta hain.. ki Vidhi tumhara saath har situation mein degi..woh tumhe mujhse zyaada pyaar karti hain.. to yeh jaanne ke baad bhi itna pyaar karogi kya Vidhi ki Dev ki ek beti hain jo tumse bhi badi hain..aur woh beti aur koyi nahin par Divya hain.

Dev was shocked to say the least and immediately retorted against her.

Dev : Ambaa.. kya bakwaas kar rahi ho.. tumhara plan kaamiyaab nahin hua to tum itna ghatiya ilzaam lagaaya hain mujhpe.. how dare you? Tumhari himmat kaise huyi ki tum mere aur Yamini ke dosti ko itna galat matlab do aur tumhe kya lagaa, tum kucch bhi bologi aur Vidhi maan jaayegi

He looks at Vidhi while talking, expecting her to be shocked as much as him, but her expression seemed unfathomable, was she sad or hurt. She seemed to be processing the situation. He notices Vidhi looking in the direction of Amba, who just mockingly shrugs off. Dev realises that this was not the first time Vidhi was hearing this.

Dev : Vidhi.. tum..tumhe ye pataa hai?

Vidhi : Amba ne ye baat bataayi thi mujhe.. Goa mein, par maine inki baaton ko nahin maana. Iss liye maine aapko bataaya bhi nahin.

Dev is relieved that Vidhi has not believed in Amba and looks at Yamini and Divya, who looked upset.

Dev : Yamini.. I am really sorry ki tumhe isne hamare personal issues mein aise drag kiya hain.. tum please bura mat maano.. iss Amba ko bataado ki yeh sab sach nahin hain.

Yamini doesnot speak anything and Dev notices her getting emotional. Divya places her hand on Yamini's shoulder to comfort her.

Dev : I know Yamini yeh sab kaafi embarassing hain.. but please tum isko boldo aur yeh baat khatam kardo yehi par.

Yamini still does not respond anything and is overwhelmed with emotions and breaksdown. Divya tries to support her but even she is on the verge of tears. Dev is shocked and approaches her, fearing for the worst.

Dev : Yamini.. yeh Amba jhoot bol rahi hai na... batao please.. Divya meri beti.. bolo please

Yamini's silence is killing him from inside and he helds her by her shoulders to make her look at him and probes her to answer. She finally musters courage and nods her head in affirmation and collapses on to the floor crying.

Amba : Ha finally issne sach kehdi hai.. thank you Yamini, tumne himmat dikhaayi warna aaj bhi Dev Raichand sabke saamne devta bankar hi rehta. To dekhana Dev kaise tumne ek nahin par teen ladkiyon ke zindagi barbaad kiya hai.. pehle Yamini ko dosti mein behlaaya aur use pregnant karke chod diya phir mujhe pyaar ke naam par pandrah saalon tak intezaar karaaya aur phir chod diya aur ab Vidhi ko shaadi ke naam par dhoka diya. Agla number kiska hain Dev? Vidhi ko kab chodne wale ho.. koi usse bhi young ladki mili kya jise tum pyaar mein phasa sakte ho

Dev is unable to process the sudden turn of events in his life. Amidst Amba's accusations and Yamini's confirmation, his love and life with Vidhi , their future dreams, everything appears as a distant past now. He looks at Vidhi from the corner of his eyes, there she was rooted to the ground, all her trust shattered to pieces. How could he even look into her eyes now. Is he really the cause of the grief in the eyes of Yamini, Divya and his Vidhi? But how? His mind was running a thousand thoughts.

Amba : Anyways ab mein chalthi hoon.. main phir aaongi jab tumhara aur Vidhi ka rishta tootegana tab zaroor celebrate karne aaoongi

Amba goes away from there leaving everyone else in dilemmas of each's own. Dev regains his composure and confronts Yamini.

Dev : Yeh kya kehrahi ho tum Yamini.. hamare beech mein aisa koi relation kabhi tha hi nahin. Na maine kabhi tumhe koi galat intention se dekha hai aur na hi pyaar kiya.. yeh sab kya hua.. kaise.. mere samajh mein kucch nahin aaraha hai

Yamini : Dev.. tumhe woh party yaad hai.. hamare last exam ke din wala.. tumhe itna to pataa haina ki uss din tumne drink kiya aur uske baad agle din shaam tak tum soye the. Us din.. us din sirf tumhara aisa haal nahin tha Dev.. maine bhi kucch drink kiya aur uske baad mujhe kucch yaad nahin tha.. par jab mein uthi to.. woh woh

Dev : To kya hua.. bolo.. daro mat

Yamini : Jab mein uthi to mein hotel room mein thi..tum..tumhare saath..in..intimately.. tum soye the aur main main..mere samajh mein kucch nahin aaya.. tumhe uthaaon ya nahin.. hamara situation kucch samajh nahin aaya.. main bas wahaan se chali gayi. Aur agle din pataa chala ki tum India waapas chale gaye ho.

Dev : Trust me Yamini..mujhe kucch yaad hi nahin hain. Bas itna ki agle din shaam ko ek room mein utha aur wahaan pata chala ki sab log chale gaye.. aur jab hostel pahuncha to India mein dad ke tabiyat kharaab tha aur mein India ke liye nikal gaya. Aur Divya..

Yamini : Do mahine ke baad mujhe pata chala ki main pregnant hoon.. mere parents ne abort karne ke liye kahaan par mein nahin karpaayi.. mere parents ne baad mein support kiya hai..

Dev : Itna kucch hogaya aur tumne mujhe bataya nahin.. ek baar to contact karleti na

Yamini : Dev.. sach kahoon to maine tumse bahut pyaar kiya hai.. par mein jaanti hoon tumne mujhe ek dost se zyaada nahin samjha.. jo bhi hua uske liye hum donon equally responsible hain.. mein tumhe naa hi blame karna chahthi hoon aur na hi zabardasti iss rishte ko tumse baandhna chahti hoon. Lekin kucch din pehle Divya ko kisi anonymous calls aaya ki tum uske pita ho.. woh isi liye yahaan chali aayi mujhe bina bataaye.. clarification ke liye

Dev : Divya tumne bhi kyun kucch nahi kahaa.. mere shaadi se pehle hi tum yahaan aayi.. par phir bhi kucch nahin bataaya

Divya : Mein nahin jaanti ki aap kaise ho.. kaise react karoge aur agar aapne mere aur mere mom ka insult kiya to... lekin aapke saath work karne par pata chala ki aap bahut hi acche ho.. phir bhi maine pehle hi aapke hair sample collect kiya aur DNA testing ke liye bheja.. report parson tak aajayega.

All this was too overwhelming for Dev and he made a quiet exit from there with Vidhi following him. The drive from there to Raichand house was an agonizing one with a resounding silence between them. They reached their room and Vidhi closed the door. Dev sat on the edge of the bed, with all the previous happenings replaying in his mind, from Amba's revealation to Yamini's confession. Vidhi could not see him going through such a distress. She sat beside him and tenderly placed her hand on his shoulder. Her touch was enough to evoke all the pent up emotions in him and he immediately hugged her and crushed his face into her chest and broke down, unable to speak anything. Vidhi tried to put up a brave show in front of him but seeing him in such pain caused her to get emotional as well. She hugged him back with all the love and care and cuddled and caressed his hair reassuringly.

Vidhi : Devji.. main jaanti hoon aap kis haal se guzar raheho.. main hoon aapke saath.. hamesha rahoongi..lekin aapko aise nahin dekh sakti hoon..par agar rone se aapka mann halka hojaayega to isme bhi aapka saath doongi.

Dev lost himself into her embrace for sometime, while shedding silent tears. After what seemed like an eternity, he finally let go of her and with great difficulty appeared to have found his voice.

Dev : Kya main sach mein ek dhokebaaz hoon.. kya Amba sach kehrahi thi.. main nahin jaanta tha ki Yamini ya Amba mujhse pyaar karte the.. aur tum Vidhi tumne bhi to pehle mujhse pyaar kiya na.. kya main aisa hoon.. aisa hoon ki pehle pyaar mein phasaon aur phir chod doon.. bolo.. maine unn dono ko sirf dost ki tarah dekha..

Vidhi : Devji aisa nahin

Dev : Tumne bhi to mujhse pyaar kiya.. maine tumhare saath ek boss aur employee code ko break kiya.. yahaan tak ki yeh bhi nahin dekha ki hamare umra mein kitna pharak hai

Vidhi : Aapne kucch

Dev : Mein hi galat hoon.. mujhe apne limit mein rehna chahiye tha.. mujhse bahut badi galti hogayi Vidhi..tum chali jao mujhse door jaao.. mein tumhe deserve nahin karta.. chod do mujhe.. maine tumhari life barbaad kardiya

Vidhi was now unable to control herself seeing Dev blaming himself. She shouts at him involuntarily.

Vidhi : DEV.. stop it

His name from her without any tags was something he wanted to hear from a long time, but the situation has changed so much now. He becomes silent and allows her to take over.

Vidhi : Yeh aap kya kehrahe ho.. aap kaise galat ho sakte ho.. Yamini ji ya Amba ya main ya koi aur bhi aapse pyaar isiliye to karte hai kyun ki aap is duniya ke sabse acche insaan ho.. aapse pyaar karna hamara problem hai aapka nahin.. I feel lucky ki aapne mere pyaar ko mehsoos kiya aur reciprocate kiya.. yeh jaante hue bhi ki main aapse pyaar karti hoon aap ne kabhi mere saath limit cross nahin kiya.. yahaan tak ki hamare shaadi ke itne dinon ke baad bhi aapne mujhe space diya.. to aap kaise kisi ko dhoka de sakte ho

Dev : Lekin maine Yamini ke saath

She cups his face in her hands and makes him look into her eyes.

Vidhi : Yeh sab jaanna aur accept karna mere liye aasaan nahin hai.. jise apna maana uska kisi aur ke saath rishta ho... ye aasaan nahin hai.. par maine bahut socha aur decide kiya...ek galti ke wajah se mein apna pyaar nahin kho sakti hoon...wo ek drunken mistake hai.. jo agar aap hosh mein hote to kabhi nahin hota.. aur aisa nahin hai ki aapko pata tha phir bhi aapne responsibility nahin liya..ya phir iss baat ko chupakar mujhse shaadi kiya hai.. Dev : Lekin main nahin rahoonga.. parson ke DNA report par hi hamara rishta banaa hua hai Vidhi

Vidhi is shocked to hear this and gets away from him in anger.

Vidhi : Yeh aap aise kaise keh sakte ho.. hamare rishte ki kya koi wajood nahin hai.. main aapke iss situation ko accept karne ke liye tayaar hoon..hum dono Divya ko support karenge agar woh chahti hai to aap apna naam bhi use de sakte ho... mujhe objection nahin hai.. phir aap hamare rishte ke baare mein aisa kyun...

Dev : Tum accept karogi theek hai.. par future mein hamare bacchon ka kya.. woh kya sochenge mere baare mein, kya kahenge aur jab woh mujhe question karenge to main kya kahoonga...

Vidhi : Maine pehle bhi aap se kahaa.. aap jyaada soch rahe ho.. abhi jo bacche hai hi nahin unke liye aap hamare rishte ko kaise thukrasakte ho.. kya mera aapke zindagi mein koi maaine nahi hai

Dev : Vidhi tum samajh nahin rahe ho.. main yeh situation face kar chuka hoon.. I have a step mother.. mere sautele bhai behen hai.. tumhe kya laga Vidhi inn sabko accept karna mere liye aasaan tha... nahin.. jinke oopar sirf hamara haq tha woh achaanak se badal jaata hai.. mujhe apne dad ko share karna pada unn logon se jinke maa meri sagi maa nahin hai... jahaan meri maa ko dekha karta tha uss jagah par koi aur aagayi thi..aur yeh accept karkne ke liye mujhe kahin din lage the.. phir bhi Damyanti maasi jaise log mujhe paraaya hi samajhte hai

Dev : Zyaada nahin soch raha hoon...sach kehraha hoon.. mein nahin chahtaa hoon ki mere bacche yeh situation face kare.. mein unke aur tumhare life mein kabhi doosre rishta nahin dekh sakta hoon.. It is final Vidhi.. agar parson DNA report mein prove hua ki Divya meri beti hai.. to hume divorce lena hoga.. iss liye nahin ki mein Yamini ke saath rishta jodu ya kucch aisa par isliye ki main tumhe future mein takleef nahin dena chahta hoon
