Vidhi: The "lost" but not so lost girl

This is one of the underlying themes for Vidhi's character in this story that the makers have steadily built up since week 1 and I've grown to quite like about her character.

She has been shown as a girl always losing her way - she is directionally challenged enough to even lose her way from one corridor to the next in a building....lol.....yet somehow even while "losing her way", she somehow ends up finding her way or landing at the right spot. In the very first epi, she accidentally wandered into the room where Amba was making Dev kneel before her and inadvertently became the cause for pulling Dev away from Amba😆....then came the broken bowl which became the cause for Dev giving her his ring. She even lost her way on the way back to returning him the ring😆, but finally did end up returning it to him and setting the stage for him to offer her a job.

Now she's working in his office and even when she feels lost, somehow a way opens up for her to keep moving ahead....whether it is her almost quitting her job after feeling humiliated over the stuck in chair incident or her feeling the salary is too high....everytime it feels she's lost her way, something positive opens up for her....the stuck in chair incident led to the housekeeping lady giving her perspective on tears and tissues....the salary issue ended with Dev opening an honesty fund in her name😆....the "lost" girl ends up finding her way or opening new ways for others😆.

Even in yesterday's epi, she was sent over to Dev's house by the evil Yogesh-Kanika duo hoping she will mess up, but she ended up unwittingly charming both Amba and Dev's stepmom😆. Her mistaking Amba to be Mrs. Raichand ended up endearing her to Amba😆 and her simple tiffin endeared her to Dev's mom....all she did along the way was do her usual unfiltered babbling and somehow that found its path even without her trying to orchestrate anything. That is where the writing is interesting for her and Rachana is doing a very good job playing Vidhi's brand of unfiltered innocence too.

As Dev rightly put...."kuch alag ho tum...auron se alag"

Because she is honest and truthful so she is slowly making her place in those important peoples and God is helping her because of her put intentions .-

Lol, I just kinda chuckled at Vidhi's frazzled reaction of calling Amba, Mrs. Dev Raichand the third time before the topic was brushed off. 😂 Even when Amba wished that Vidhi should be near Dev, lmao. 😂 Lol, felt really comical.

Jokes apart, she does indeed manages to find a way for herself or others in some form for sure. Vidhi's unfiltered blabbering definitely leads her up to positive things for sure

I think its both the fact as the female lead she is not perfect and she knows it too. Hopefully her finding her way builds her confidence and she helps bring Dev closer to his family. He seems to have a good relationship with step-mom and half sister but not with brother.

It would be nice if they both fight for each other, like Vidhi against Dev's evil friends (I am sure they are doing some fraud in business) and he for her. It would be nice parallel.

I watched few episodes of this drama.. but didn't understand Vidhi's problem. Thank you for explaining it to me, coz I started feeling that she was too innocent to be real.😆

@bold: Agreed. She doesn't have a moral superiority complex like most FLs do who like to give 10 page ke bhaashans. Like sure, she does have her fundas about what she thinks is right or wrong but the way she expresses her opinion doesn't feel as sanctimonious as most mahaan FLs.

And yes, I think the long term intention is that only. Vidhi will become the cause of bringing Dev and his family closer together and she will also figure out the fraud being committed by the evil friends but she will need a lot of confidence building along the way to assert herself better.

LOL you're welcome 😆

Vidhi is quite sheltered in her upbringing and she is low on confidence but otherwise she is an unfiltered honest person.

Like Dev's mom put it today, she has a knack for soaking up the pain of others and putting them at ease....well anyone who doesn't feel threatened by her I guess...lol

Completely agree. The writing is quite interesting in this regard. Hopefully we will see more of it in upcoming episodes. She even made Dev laugh with her innocent "pakka hisab".

And though such innocence might seem unreal in today's world, such people though rare do exist in today's world.

Thanks :) I feel the writing was tighter for Vidhi in the earlier weeks of the show. This week has sort of been slow with the contrived MU about her babbling on about Dev ki wife and their supposed marital problems.

I'm also feeling kinda tired of the whiplash of Dev one day being nice to her and then next day shouting at her over some MU or other contrived reason.....

Agreed. Nowadays they are focussing more on Raichand family drama and Vidhi's parents and their problems. And about Dev's outbursts, once was fine, but every now and then is too much. The one thing I liked about Dev's charector is his calmness in difficult situations but why is he behaving different around Vidhi and having sudden outbursts that too every now and then.
