Anu,FAB stuff👏

Megha does have that kind of power over Mohan ...that he likes to sort of get toyed around and it stems from the pt where Megs openly did not accept his proposal and he rebelled by marrying Miss Psycho and what thus followed was disastrous in more ways than one ...I think his present personality does stem from that mayb ...all that bit about low self esteem and masochistic stuff ie .Whenever I see Mohan with Megha i remember the following line :- Zindagi mein to sabhi pyaar kiya karte hain ,main to mar kar bhi meri jaan tujhe chahoon ga😳😆

As for Megha I think she always perceived Mohan as the Mr Imperfect not worthy kid adult who fell for her and because her perception was more of like Amar types being the Perfect ones ... thus the whole lack of respect etc etc flowed but like some intelligent soul said

Dhoond ujde huye logon mein wafa ke moti

Ye khazane tujhe mumkin hai kharabon mein mile

Tu khuda hai na mera ishq farishton jaisa

Dono insaan hain to kyun itne hijaabon mein mile

Oh n i had to add Mohan must silently feel like Zaroon ...she looks way better with her mouth shut hahahaha

Aww thanks, Pooja😳

Such lovely lines...getting to see you in shaayari mode after many days🤗

I didn't quite get the meaning of the last line though...thoda simple kar ke samjhaao na, pleej😳😆

I completely agree with the rest of your post...the colossal massacring of Mohan's character that was the Rondee track did leave a huge scar...so he does have something to be guilty about for the rest of his life I guess...but isn't the whole show now supposed to be about pretending that Rondee and the rest of the crap never happened? LOL like Addu was just the be all and end all of the show since forever?

And yes, for Megha...RESPECT was only reserved for AMAR...and the idealism he represented...Mohan ofcourse was never that, never fit that definition so her "love" for Mohan didn't require respect she probably thought...he was always a nasamajh baccha that she thought she indulged briefly and now is blaming herself for that indulgence since it apparently cost her her son.

The thing is, the writers DO have some threads that can be woven together to actually make a CREDIBLE soulful story...about two imperfect ppl and the mistakes they made but are still perfect for each other...sadly that doesn't really come across...Mohan understands the meaning of loving someone inspite of, heck even FOR their flaws...He rises SO above in all this...he understands Megha's masochistic tendencies too...but Megha never gives him any credit for anything other than just ruining everything...

In season 1, this was shown in a light-hearted manner with her fumingly calling him MUSEEBAT...season 2 is all about making that light hearted banter into TRAGIC "reality"

Yeh Zaroon kaun hai? The guy in your sig?😆😆...haha yeah, if only ALL scenes could be about Megha being UNCONSCIOUS🤣...both mouth AND accusing looks shut😛

Although second half mein kya chal raha tha? The usual look/turn thing? She was giving him these lovelorn looks when he wasn't looking at her😆...Megha is a hopeless thing

I do think CVs modeled Mohan after some tv serial Bahu with his unconditional love and occasional anger. Like he is suppose to accept all the scorn and go back when it's time forgetting everything. I like Mohan because he had the it factor, he had a strong personality but wasn't like most leads with arrogance .. I think he is different from most leads out there.

Hey thanks😊

But yes, the writers have taken it overboard this season with showing Mohan in only two modes...super understanding or rock bottom crash with daaru ki bottle...quite sad for what was a VERY cool character in season 1 to me atleast.

Yes, In season 1 he was Mr cool, in season 2 he only seems to be in pain and crying. 😭almost like a bahu :😔 But I still like it - a man wearing his emotions on his sleeve

If anyone can give me even a SINGLE example of a moment where Megha has given Mohan unconditional acceptance, I would be willing to take my words back...but there is none...while the show keeps on adding to the list of countless examples like such from Mohan.

You are dead on right. Mohan has bent over his back every single time but Megha has never done that. I feel if Megha just took on to Guru's words that means she has never understood Mohan in the 1st place. She shld know that Mohan is very committed and only loves her and her family. But I wish Mohan atleast in 1 episode ven MU's are cleared ask Megha out loud about why so much distrust. Why so much hatred? Why those bitted words? WHY WHY WHY? Mohan needs closure too regarding the guilt he has felt yrs without him doing anything. Mohan is afterall a human too which Megha needs to know and realize.

I had the same question. how come megha believed guru's words? agreed she cannot imagine guru saying such a big lie still some where her heart should not accept it. if she's so much troubled with this "sudden supposed" truth about mohan and his marriage and a daughter too then why doesnt she straight away confronts him.

Wonderful post Anu...😊

Well...i do agree with u on Mohan's low self esteem...i was surprised by the way he reacted when papa ji threw his slipper on him...i was just taken a back...how can anybody tolerate this...But...This 'GEM' of a person took it in a logical way by understanding the mental state of papaji...and the way he used to respect papaji...i used to ownder 'how can somebody be so so forgiving'...

This low-self esteem was not elaborated and taken to this level in season 1...that was a beauty of season 1...All emotions was perfect and was presented in a subtle way...and Mohan was in control with 'THE FEAR OF ACCEPTANCE' and was moving forward...

But,unfortunately in season 2...It is been stretched beyond limits and insults, humiliation etc has crossed borders...which is making Mohan's charcater rather weak compared to Season 1...

Here...i want to mention...the aamir movie...Talaash...In that Shekawat blames himself for the death his own son and he lives a life of hell...though his wife was quite composed with him...the guilt trip makes any individual more weak and here Mohan is in same state...and may be he is bowing down for anything and everything for this sake...but,i am really disappointed by the charcaterisation of Mohan, megha and navika in season 2...

Beautifully written!!!👏👏

Mohan was always the star reporter, apple of everyone's eye at the office. A best friend to Nanhi, a brother to Guru and an awesome sun to his Mom. These three people loved him unconditionally for who he was and not what they can turn him into. This was the beauty of S1. I know he never really got accepted by his father for their set of ideals never matched. This I understand.

All this man has ever wanted was to be accepted by Megs, because he had this unconditional love for her and thats what he expected from her...I don't think its a case of low self esteem...its just his love that makes him melt in front of her. Something I seriously wish would happen to Megha as well.

I think these lines from the song "Teardrops on my Guitar" suits MB a lot

"He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar

The only one who's got enough of me to break my heart"
