I agree with you.I think its Mohan s characteristic to fall weak infront of his lady love.Remember rashmi his ex who kept showing off how rich is her boyfrnd,flaunting her personal life infront of him.He coudnt speak a word infront of her ,he could defend himself infront guru,mother,even mirchi madam megha (before he fell in love with her) but not in infront of rashmi and now megha.I think mohan doesnt feel he is perfect boyfrnd,or perfect husband material.Somewhere he feels he lacks those qualities that makes a girl go gaga on him.he holds them much higher to him and pretty petfect.With rest of relationship wether guru he is himself ,wether nanhi,guru,his mother.They also love him uncondionaly and accepted him with all flaws.
Actualy mohan this characterstic reminded me of rajeev paul Big boss 6 .Delnaz dint leave a chance to tarnish his image yet he would always run to help her,suported her,infact was ready to leave a prize money for her.i guess There are some men who fall weak infront of their lady love.

Actually, the other way round is also true, this woman Megha who was strong and a Mirchi before falling for Mohan has become weak too...

Well...i do agree with u on Mohan's low self esteem...i was surprised by the way he reacted when papa ji threw his slipper on him...i was just taken a back...how can anybody tolerate this...But...This 'GEM' of a person took it in a logical way by understanding the mental state of papaji...and the way he used to respect papaji...i used to ownder 'how can somebody be so so forgiving'...

This low-self esteem was not elaborated and taken to this level in season 1...that was a beauty of season 1...All emotions was perfect and was presented in a subtle way...and Mohan was in control with 'THE FEAR OF ACCEPTANCE' and was moving forward...

But,unfortunately in season 2...It is been stretched beyond limits and insults,humiliation etc has crossed borders...which is making Mohan's charcater rather weak compared to Season 1...

Here...i want to mention...the aamir movie...Talaash...In that Shekawat blames himself for the death his own son and he lives a life of hell...though his wife was quite composed with him...the guilt trip makes any individual more weak and here Mohan is in same state...and may be he is bowing down for anything and everything for this sake...but,i am really disappointed by the charcaterisation of Mohan,megha and navika in season 2...

I haven't seen Talaash yet but yes I guess there is that parallel ofcourse of a couple that loses their child and the toll it takes on their marriage...but again, the thing there I think is that they were more of a conventional couple...you can feel the love even from the promos...but in this show, Megha's "love" has never come through...she always seemed to be more of in a toleration mode vis a vis Mohan and that only got worse with the Addu fiasco.

They've given Mohan too many things to be guilty about...the Rondee fiasco as Pooja pointed out on the previous page...then this Addu problem...Mohan said that he didn't want to stress Megha out so he took it all on himself to "fix" everything...woh bhi nahin hua, upar se aur joote pade...but he still keeps trying.

The issue shouldn't even be about acceptance...but UNDERSTANDING...I just wonder...how can a woman who supposedly "loves" him not even see a BIT how his mind works...try and UNDERSTAND his motivations...chalo not even as a wife but as a HUMAN BEING? Does she ever even do that? Nope...because basic compassion and understanding is just there for Mohan as far as she is concerned...She is too busy being a martyr.

You know I used to love that about Megha when the show started in season 1...that she was NEVER a MARTYR...what a STRONG, dignified lady even if she had her initial prejudices when it came to Mohan cuz he was just so different from anything she'd known. But now ALL she does is wallow in self-pity, walk around stone-faced and confused...and this is all of her CHOOSING...she CHOOSES to never COMMUNICATE with Mohan, make her own presumptions, judgements and pass out sentencing on him accordingly without him having anything to say in the matter.


Frankly everyone is happy with Navika's "realization" but I don't even understand how that happened so out of the blue...it was a stupid storyline to begin with going against the very grain of the Mohan-Nanhi relationship...but oh well...atleast that's out of the way...lol

LOL really? Megha's "love" for Mohan makes her weak? I would have to respectfully disagree.

Megha is a CONVOLUTED character now...not a WEAK one...the writers have pulled her in all kinds of random directions that make no sense...

Mohan didn't do anything to make Megha weak...He infact has pretty much laid himself at her feet in general...

Megha's only weaknesses that I can see have nothing to do with Mohan...her weaknesses are her own...self-absorption, self-pity, a martyr complex...Mohan is a convenient punching bag for her frustrations and confusions.


What's odd about Megha is how BITTER and ACCUSATORY she becomes when things don't go her way...Addu nahin milaa toh give Mohan a disgusted look.

How is it that one person can become so utterly IMMUNE to the feelings, thought process of a person they supposedly "love"?

The only weakness there is her inability to see a world beyond her own self-pity complex.

Mohan was always the star reporter, apple of everyone's eye at the office. A best friend to Nanhi, a brother to Guru and an awesome sun to his Mom. These three people loved him unconditionally for who he was and not what they can turn him into. This was the beauty of S1. I know he never really got accepted by his father for their set of ideals never matched. This I understand.

All this man has ever wanted was to be accepted by Megs, because he had this unconditional love for her and thats what he expected from her...I don't think its a case of low self esteem...its just his love that makes him melt in front of her. Something I seriously wish would happen to Megha as well.

I think these lines from the song "Teardrops on my Guitar" suits MB a lot

"He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar

The only one who's got enough of me to break my heart"

@bold: Exactly...TRUST and RESPECT...two things Megha has never given Mohan...the rosy glow of romance aside...these two things are the REAL test of love...I've also never understood how there can be love if there is no trust and respect...respect especially...Megha is a dominating personality and Mohan has basically bowed before that time and again even when he himself is a strong personality.

I understand Megha's anguish as a mother who has lost her son...but the problem is that even before the Addu fiasco, Megha's "love" for Mohan was never well established in the show...none of that trust or respect or understanding...so it is even harder to buy now with 12 years of misunderstandings added to it.

ok i m not that good in analysing situations well but heres just an example that i cud think of where megha showed immense support and acceptance for mohan that was when she left her kids behind at vyas house n opposed her ex inlaws to support mohan in riddhima fiasco...agreed that then her dignity was at stake and she was seeing sumone else trying to take her position forcefully in mohans life but she didnt readily buy mohans side of story when everything got revealed to her it was after sumtime only that she agreed to support mohan in tht situation...had it been just for the reason of taking him out of the mud she would have made it clear to him..she believed in him n thats why stood for him.during the time when she moved back to vyas house after the nepal trip she took her own time n when she was asked to choose between mohan n family she chose mohan (though not sure that whether the path wud lead her to success or not)n in some dialogues during that scene she said that everyone knew that how much mohan luved her but noone knew how much she loved him(some things need to be said everything cant be unsaid yet very clear to the audience esp in case of megha) n during those confrontation scenes with ridz she did say that ridz cudnt take unecessary advantage of mohans innocence nemore...this is just my pov ...hope i made sense..

i m using the word acceptance here in ref to this incident as hiding all this from megha before marriage was a blunder on his part leave alone getting married to ridz in first place hence the word accepetance ...she accepted him along with his blunder.

Love your post ! Yes, Mohan does suffer from low self esteem ... He just wants the people he loves to show him back that they too love him, trust him, NEED him ! 😒
Although I personally feel the writers went way more with this low self esteem than I would like ! Mohan now come across to me as a mahan dukhiyari female lead of soaps with his always
running back after megha and listening to her jibes ! 😡
Why did cvs not take the angry Mohan with nanhi to megha ? 😆 its time he stops giving her explanations and goes back to his old cool mode saying "take it or leave it" ! 😳
Because honestly if they want to show tht Mohan is a human to make mistakes... They need to also show that no human can tolerate such barbs and taunts of Pyaas family all the time despite Mohan himself respecting the fact that he has gone out of his way to find addu !
Sigh ... Season two reminds me of another old favorite how of mine tht had a big blow when the writers who concieved the characters were replaced !

The Riddhima fiasco? The single most SENSELESS piece of crap this show has ever produced?😆...

It's not like I have some big grudge against Megha that I can't give her credit for anything...but that entire track was so POORLY written that Megha OUT OF THE BLUE spouting dialogues about how no one knows how much she loves Mohan didn't feel BELIEVABLE to me...a characterization needs STRONG backing up...not out of the blue stuff.

Anyways if that example is to be used, Mohan supported her so much through her paralysis track...what of that? After THAT also she just let him walk away? And showed for 12 years that he doesn't exist for her...kept calling him "woh aadmi jiski humaari zindagi mein koi jagah nahin" blah blah...Mohan milaa toh ek second ke andar disgusted looks deke again she walks away...now suddenly she's all about "Maine socha meri jagah uski zindagi mein koi nahin le paayega"...LOL yeh Megha aakhir HAI kya, by god?
