Or it could be a story device as the Cvs didn't dare to show a widow accepting a new man in her life easily without his extreme persuasions😕.

Yes...longing is deffo the word...but I always wonder if that was also a lot of KUNAL coming into Mohan than just Mohan himself😆...they never quite built on it enough in the show itself other than those brief moments with Ved Vyas ji...*sigh* I miss the original cast...the whole purpose of a supporting cast is to ADD to the lives of the main characters...give us different insights into their story, background...which is what the original characters did...be it Ved Vyas ji, Amar, Rashmi, Mohan's mom...they all showed us different sides to the personalities of the main characters...in this season, I unfortunately can't say the same...they grate on my nerves.

Re: the last line...but it's so strange...they never showed Megha as a TYPICAL widow either...atleast initially...she wasn't a bechari...she was strong and dignified...later she became a confused mishmash, woh baat aur hai.

LOL but Mohan wasn't exactly pursuading her in in the initial days...SHE was the one jumping at the chance to play "mrs. bhatnagar"...how quickly she forgets...Mohan ka breakdown toh baad mein shuru hua when she drove him mad.

I'm just saying, look at him in today's epi...look at the way he watches her...as if she's the most precious thing in the world...a sleeping Megha looks so blessedly peaceful...you can almost think she's harmless😆...anyways the way he looks at her is a look of purity...complete adoration...unconditionally no matter what she says to him, no matter how she treats him...in that moment, it wasn't even about a desperate need for understanding, it was like he's just as peace cuz he's with her...

On a different note, I wonder how much Kunal worked out in that scene to manage to lift Aks😆

Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love."

Ok so you're saying it's simply love...Love weakens a person to that point. I see.

Maybe I'm just not that sappy about love so I don't get it😆

@sen_madhuban: Oh hey, you're back? I don't post much here...on and off if an epi is ok enough...I thought you were busy with KHTV...lol

My point wasn't that no one craves ACCEPTANCE...ofcourse everyone does to varying degrees from various ppl in their lives...

But Mohan's case does seem to be one of low self-esteem when it comes to Megha...she's made him feel small and belittled in so many ways at crucial points...and the writers just didn't show enough of her character to make me buy it as her projecting her pain and frustration onto Mohan.

So somewhere it all hits home in a strange way and Mohan wants...no NEEDS Megha to accept him...heck not even love him like he loves her unconditionally...just ACCEPT him...like today's epi where Navika is happily announcing that purgatory is over and Spiderman should now be brought back into their lives...LOL...jaise halwaa hai...I think they do need to look at how selfish these two sound when it comes to Mohan.

LOL these sigs make me sappy? Haha then you can say I'm sappy about a story that has SENSE in it...something I think is difficult to find in Megha's character.

The issue with the male lead in this movie was different...he didn't crave acceptance...he was hesitant to leave his father's business because he thought his father would be upset with him for leaving him alone...He didn't crave acceptance for who he was, specifically...

Which is the case with Mohan.

LOL Aks might look skinny but she's a TALL girl...I bet she has heavy bones😆...and Kunal isn't exactly a gym mascot😆

Nice post.. makes you think 😊

I think it's just his character, more than low self-esteem. But there's the issue that when he still has insecurities about his relationship with his father (like he said to Nanhi, he didn't know what a good father was, that's why couldn't be one to Addu). He never takes anything for granted.. like Megha's unconditional love/trust. He always tries to understand everyone (which is really frustrating!!)

I also think when Mohan accepts his faults, he accepts them like it's his fault, not like human beings make mistakes line of thought but MB is imperfect. I think that's his personality.

I do think CVs modeled Mohan after some tv serial Bahu with his unconditional love and occasional anger. Like he is suppose to accept all the scorn and go back when it's time forgetting everything. I like Mohan because he had the it factor, he had a strong personality but wasn't like most leads with arrogance .. I think he is different from most leads out there.

editing n censorship ka farak relative hai..kisi ke liye yeh aur yehi kisi ke liye woh..diff ppl diff interpreations of love..for some it make weaker..for some its the strength..but what u see as stregth some see as weakness..apna apna nazariya hai dekhney ka Its not something universally same with everyone..waisey kayio ko yeh psycho bhi banaa deta hai..par koi yeh nahi keh sakta ki kiska pyaar galat hai..kiska pyaar sahi..OMG i sound like ekta soap ki typical ghisi piti writer..lol..even they may hav risen about all this chikni chupdiness 😆

Hey thanks😊

Yes, Mohan most definitely accepts his faults...very HONESTLY...and that just endears him more to the audience...Megha on the other hand never accepts her faults, her mistakes...she has a twisted martyr complex.

You've also rightly pointed out how Mohan doesn't take anything for GRANTED...something both Megha and Navika are guilty of when it comes to him...I think Mohan's ability to see his own mistakes and try to make amends for them is why he never takes anything for granted...if he's able to find faults in himself, it makes him understand that everyone's human and making mistakes.

But yes, the writers have taken it overboard this season with showing Mohan in only two modes...super understanding or rock bottom crash with daaru ki bottle...quite sad for what was a VERY cool character in season 1 to me atleast.

woow!! what a lovely piece of writing. mohan is some one who craves for love, attention, care and affection. he may come across as a guy with "i dont care attitude" but deep down this same guy is full of emotions and love -- love he wants to give and aspires to get from all those close to him.
he's some one who would never ever himself admit he is hopelessly romantic and utterly emotional.

yes he craves for love because he never got the love he gave other or may be he wanted to get. only love he found was in the form of Guru. his father never shared a healthy relation with him; his first GF ditched him big time; the love of life -- Megha -- is not with him anymore...

that's the irony. some one who is ful of love craves for love.
