Regalla,
Just hold on. The platelet counts will start improving now.
Happened to my sister and niece some time ago and it was this bad. After a dip, the platelet count started increasing and now they are hale and hearty.

hi poet.... thanks for the concern......i hope everything settles now soon....actually my father had also had a by-pass surgery which has already lead to various medical precautions/regular medication....so this development really made us anxious...but now am relieved....really.....believe me....i had said earlier too...i entered this thread just 2-3 days back.........was even asking you people...whether i can join or not......and just imagine...in the past few hours, i have received so much solace/best wishes/prayers from you people.......

i have developed a special emotional bond with you people...you all are such sweethearts.........am relaxed now.........dont feel so anxious anymore........let us see what happens now......i think, we will be able to overcome this stage soon.......

take care.....

Regalla,
My sister and niece are fine now. These scares happened like a year and more before.
The 'dahi handi' celebration was mast in Mumbai yesterday. Though there were traffic jams all around, you cannot help but soak in the festive mood and spirit.
Am sure Uncle will be ok soon.
Take care

regalla-my daughter seems to have put up a real fight , is back to school and my son is better .i have put them on homeopathy medicines.so i am hopeful they would have recovered by sunday.we will keep praying for u'r father and u're daughter.these are just testing times and so keep the faith. when he was 10 months old,my son had continuous diarrhea for a month and half and was in the hospital for 10 days.the doctors really didnt know how to stem that and it was really a miracle that he became alright with out us knowing what the reason was.we were thanking our lucky stars .i am just telling this so that u get hope and see the positives only in this situation

sheetal-hope u're buaji is alright?
aneesha,anu,shilpa,sweety-hope u and u're families are fine

poet- my children are fine and the bonus is my husband is back from his trip and is real support whenever he is around.

such testing times they would have been na.........

as a mother, i can understand how it feels when your little baby gets admitted and is put on intravenous fluids/medicines..... my daughter, too, since, her birth has been admitted thrice, once when she was just 4 days old.....she was born on the 20th,we were discharged on 23rd and then, again in the morning of 24th, we were at the hospital...she was put in ICU......

then, when she was 28 months old, she had this bout of severe UTI (god only knows, why it happens/recurrs despite our taking all hygienic measures)....at that time her RBCs were in the range of 25-30........she was again admitted for 7 days ... had to undergo so much of pain...in fact, at times, she used to maintain her quiet at the time of injections (and i used to cry secretly) .....i can still not forget those horrible moments, so was anxious 2-3 days back....this time toh the reason was simple .... she didnt consume water at the school...for the simple reason...that then, she would have to go to toilet, that would result in loss of studies ...or maybe there were queues at the toilet...which she wanted to avoid.........so kids have their own reasons of falling ill.......

but it is really hard for the parents.......still she is going to school...she is also a very brave girl...she didnt cry for the first 4-5 days of her hospitalisation, even as a 28 months old....then, she lost her patience.....so did I......

but yes......we have to be bold and rather take greater care of ourselves besides the patients at such times.....because if we also collapse, who will look after them.........

hope they are ok.....and congrats that your husband is back......it is really quite soothing to share such times with someone close to heart....

monetary loss toh hua.....but Bhagwanji ki daya se kisi ko chot nahin aayi....

yep this problem is always there.....some people really lose their minds and lose control over their actions......they dont think ki kisi aur ko major loss/hurt ho sakta hai............
