Commenting on performance .... with no doubt Shankar was terrific .. but Shaan was .. mindblowing and his song touched our heart ... what a sweet composition and the emotion of the song was really telling his feeling for his father ... please do not use 'family drama' for someone showing respect for parents ... Shaan would have got 10 anyways if he sings .. Subhan Allah ... Suno na ... Jab Se Tere etc etc from his songs .... do not call it a drama.
I have not seen a humble and down to earth person like Shaan .. .the way he encourages his teammates and respects them ... really great.
Shaan ... you rock .. He is not only a great singer, but also a great person.

Dono navaneeta how people ve this kind of thoughts over shaan..oh no god pl u thr to do justice..
Shaan is a one who has won milions of heart all over d music lovers with his voice and great personality of a good human being..

Ya Allah..aisse bandoon ko kuch sabakh de,jab oh istarha se guzrege toh shaan ka andaza laga sakte hain ..

@baddie

Jahanpana tussi great ho!

Thanks to your comments, some people are even being forced to join IF to dispute them. Wondering why everyone is jumping at your comments? Leave aside trained singers, even folks with a musical ear without any training will not agree that Rahul was better than Anwesha in "soona soona".

It's really upsetting to see the insensitiveness on some people on this forum who label the remembrance of a lost father as "family drama". Man, do you even know how it is to lose a parent at a young age? Do you realize the struggle a mother or father has to go through when he/she has to bring up their children single-handedly? You need to go through it to feel it!

There have been numerous occasions before this when Shan has become moist-eyed at the mention of his parents. Remember the saregamapa episode where Sameer had made us all cry with his "Tujshe naaraz nahin zindagi"? Or do you remember the conversations between Shaan and Mini Mathur in "Yeh Shaam mastani"? And what about the recent lil champs when Abhijeet brought up the name of his mom and dad? There were no races to be run, no competitions to be won at that time.

Also, no-one here is denying that Shankar is an epitome of talent. Whose performance was better is a matter of one's opinion. But this is not a competition amongst captains. This is a competition amongst TEAMS. This is a competition of good captaincy, this is a competition of team spirit, and this is a competition of the overall strength of the team. And Shan's TEAM scores highly in every area.

Yes.We should all feel for the children who lose their parents at an early age.Why only shaan?
My dad lost my grandfather when my dad was only 2 years old.But my dad fought his way up and provided me with every luxury that was possible. My dad is a bigger hero to me than shaan.
Shaan on the other hand had no struggles as he was a son of the industry.Though his father didn't make it big in Hindi films, he was a known face in the Bengali music industry. So shaan got to sing jingles and advertisements when he was very small on All india radio.
Today even an Abhijit Sawant is struggling for good work inspite of being an indian idol and having such a high visibility. And 20 years back , Shaan was having work inspite of being a child.
Spare a thought for Shankar....a computer engineer , a married guy a man who had a settled life.....ventured into the big bad world of Hindi films. He learned singing and music as a hobby and then decided to give up his profession and dedicate himself to music. It was a bold bold step.
Today after 15 years of struggle he is at the top- as a singer and composer. The champion singers like rahat fateh ali and sonu nigam have risen to glory and fame singing his compositions..Yet , he is so humble.
Shankar's wife didn't cry but she was so spontaneous and graceful when she gave due credit to Shankar's mother. This is real emotion. No elaborate drama or story telling here.Simple people cannot use fancy words to express emotions. But I felt the genuinity when Shankar's mom spoke about him.
But I must be insensitive. Because if you don't feel for shaan ..you are insensitive.Others don't matter....

I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather, but I do need to tell you that I lost my father when I was just a week away from my 12th std. HSC exams. Yet with my determination, I excelled at my exams and am today working in one of the most reputed financial firms on Wall Street. Today my children also has all the luxuries possible, but I'm not an heroine as I have my husband to help me with each step. It is my mother who is the real heroine who brought me up single-handedly without any help.
There are many kinds of struggles in this world, but to me there is nothing worse than losing someone who you love dearly. Nothing, absolutely nothing can compare to the sorrow of losing a dear one. And that's what I mean by saying that you need to feel it to know it!

Actually when captain perform, audience always give them full marks.. It happened each time . so it was obvious shaan will get 10/10 and shankar also will get 10/10 from audience.. But if you want to prove Shaan was not so good that day Shankar was much more better than him it is your opinion.. Acc to us Shaan's performance was mindblowing in Dil se round and Shaan's Medley round was far better than Shankar's medley.. Though I respect Shankar a lot .. He is a talented singer and composer.. Shankar's medley round was below standard..

Also, I wud like to point out that Rahul too was singins live just like Anwesha but never once he went out of breath. He did not take any unnecessary harkats. To me, he was better than Anwesha.
Himani undoubtedly sang Der na ho jaye better than Anwesha. This song was just not for Anwesha. So many mistakes and changed voice!!! Out of breath during most of the endings!!!
Wonder what's wrong with the captains??? Porbably, they wrongly played the song 'Der na ho jaye..' when she was receiving the award for best singer of the day. If it is the other song, I can still understand but in no way for 'der na ho jaye'

You mean judges who is giving Anwesha 9/10 and audience every one is bias ? I think you want to say Shaan and Anwesha's family members are sitting in the audience and giving them full marks what they dont deserve.. Rahul's and Shankar's and other team's relatives are not in the audience thats why they are losing against shaan only shaan is playing tricks..😆😆😆
