I also wanted to say something about some people's comments on Shaan's "dramatics". Before I get into that, I'd like to tell a story first. My father migrated to Mumbai in 1947. Along with him, came many greats and we ended up being neighbors to one of the most successful music directors of yesteryears. We have witnessed the struggle of many artists, some of which are known today as legends. We have also heard many stories about the politics that are out there. Sadly, many have not reached the peak of success inspite of being talented.

Manas Mukherjee was one such name. He has given music in a handful of movies, but his name will never be taken along with the likes of S.D. Burman, R.D. Burman, Laxmikant Pyarelal etc. This rose to frustration that took a toll on his family. It was this pain that made Shaan decide never to give up. Sagarika was not made for this kind of struggle and she drifted away, although I think that she was even more talented than Shaan. But Shaan did not give up, and somewhere in his heart he knows that he is so successful only because of his dad's legacy.

No, he has not forgotten his father. He has been trying to put together an album for his father's collections along with his sister. I know that this industry is full of wolves with each one waiting to pull down the other, and one is bound to change. But I can vouch that Shaan's feelings for his dad was completely genuine, and I'm really sad to see that some people are trying to find some intention behind his emotions.

Shankar's last medley showed his greatness.To honour all the judges without bothering about defeat or victory requires a pure heart.I loved the way Shankar's wife smiled even in defeat and didn't do a drama of crying even when the situation was provided.👏

Shaan was back to his dramatics when suddenly he remembered his father!!!!!!😕

Now why did he remember him after so many years suddenly?And his wife .She laughs and then cries at the drop of a hat!!!!What a terrific actress!!!🤢

Anwesha was good but was equally matched by rahul.

Sharib is definitely better than Shadab.

Shaan didn't sing his father's song well.His limited range was very evident.But he did his drama so well that everyone gave him 10.

Shankar was awesome with his song and deserved his 10.

All in all this show is a popularity contest and not a muquabla of music.....

I couldn't wait for next week, and I had to see the performances that are being talked about online. And I'm so happy to see Anwesha perform today. You know, although she has been technically perfect in all her previous performances, she seemed a little subdued to me. I was missing my old Anwesha. And I think I've got her back today. The confidence, the spark in her eyes are all back. She was MINDBLOWING! Although I love Rahul's voice and he has been really good on various occasions, it seemed that he was gasping to keep up with her. I do agree with others that if he had sung this alone, he would have stood out much better. I don't care what marks Anwesha got, but I think that hers was the one of the best performances of this competition.

I also just saw the video of Shaadab and Sharib. There is no doubt that Shaadab was much better.

@safeena, some people will say anything just to prove a point that they had said earlier. And to think that only yesterday I was telling someone that all the wagging mouths will stop after this performance from Anwesha, lol😆. Let's just learn to ignore such comments.

I don't know Shaan, but it seems like he has a heart of gold. In fact, this 'winning spirit' people find annoying about him is also a result of his heart of gold.

In the beginning of the show, he was just there to play the game. In the Shankar v Himesh match he even admitted defeat saying that he hadnt expected such a determination to win.

Then when it was Shaan's match against Shreya, he was a changed captain. He realised that although the show and the matches would hardly impact his career/reputation, he had to win for his contestants, for whom this show was a big thing. And since then he has not just played to win, he has played to win for his team.

If he wanted to win, he could keep sending his strongest player/s in the rounds again and again. Instead, he gave every singer a chance to shine, including his chhupa rustam. Nobody in his team was sidelined and nobody was overhyped.

And to the people who call his unnplugged song for his father dramebaazi, well you guys should at least respect the memory of the dead!

I am shocked to see a post saying that himani in srgmp 05 was better than anwesha for the song "dher na ho jaaye".......members can browse for the song in youtube......i m even shocked that ppl can compare the 2 songs......anwesha was par excellence.........now i realize that ppl just comment for the sake of commentin......the lil girl is toooooooooooo gud and deserves to be the singer of the series.......she even made rahul look just avg when singin with her........ 😊
