whether song is a hit is not a criterion for judgin quality of singing. I'm just asking u to judge quality of singing. Yes the award shows have to take into account popularity but I'm not asking u to give an award. I'm saying, who is the best SINGER?!

I'm pretty sure Filmfare is considered the most prestigous out of all the bollywood award functions. Himesh won that. I'm not sure, but IIFA or Star Screen is probably 2nd based on how many bollywood stars show up and how anticipated and how high the expectations are, Himesh won those 2.


These are called "prestigous" award shows. You can add Zee Cine too, though it's gone down, but it used to bigger when Himesh won.

But I don't think any are bigger than those 3 or 4.

Yes I will do that. Btw, I don't consider "Aashiq Banaya Aapne" Himesh's best singing performance. One of best? Definitely. But not best.

You know what I asked him the same question that which are the major award functions that he considers. And you know what stupid reply I got: All the functions which are attended by big bollywood stars. I was laughing my wits out. Someone just ask him to name any award function which are not attended by bollywood personalities. The reality is he is only considering which are publicized more and have a glamour quotient attached with it. Bollywood stars will go anywhere where they are paid to go.

Now you are contradicting your own statement. First you tell me Himesh has won all the awards in 2006. And when I tell you that he didn't win the Sansui viewer choice award, you say that they are not major award. Why not these awards are also attended by big bollywood stars? The reality your thinking is just limited to Filmfare, Screen, IIFA, Zee Cine and National awards.

I told him that Mohit Chauhan has won Channel V award and Mika has won awards in Punjab but he will never say anything about that. His train is stuck at Himesh and awards. Silly guy.

I'm mainly talking about the big big award functions. Filmfare (obviously considered the biggest), IIFA, and Star Screen are the 3 biggest it seems. I could be wrong, but I know filmfare is the biggest. Zee Cine used to be at that level, but it's kind of fallen down. I don't think Channel V award, or the awards in punjab compare to Filmfare in terms of prestige, bollywood star attendance, expectations, etc.

Obviously you will say those awards are prestigeous. Since filmfare is the most prestigeous award does that make Lucky Ali better than KK? Afterall KK won only 2nd best star screen award

But you said earlier that if big star attends function then thts considered as prestigeous award. Now dont backtrack from your earlier statement (as usual).

And when I give you the name of the award function where he hasn't won any award, you tell me its not a major award function. So basically it comes out to IIFA, Filmfare, Star Screen and National Awards.
And now you are also saying that Zee Cine is not of that level. At one time you said these are also prestigious. Again contradicting your statement.
And when I tell you that Manna Dey has won just one filmfare as compared to Shaan's two. So in that regard Shaan is greater than Manna Dey. You told me that I do not consider only filmfare. There are many other awards. Well there was no other award during olden times. So we have to consider only Filmfare because as per your statement this is the most prestigious.

Maybe I should have been more clearer. But when I say big stars, I mean all the big stars. I think you see the most stars in those shows I mentioned earlier. Of course there is at least 1-2 stars in almost every bollywood function. But I mean where A LOT of them show up. Once again, Filmfare is considered the most prestigous. Followed by IIFA and Star Screen.

Omg I didn't mean that literally he won every award show in India which there are probably thousands of. And once again, you did not really understand what I wrote.

I said Zee Cine has FALLEN OFF. That means now it isn't of that level. Why? Because I don't even think they had an award show last year, which is a sign of fallen off. I also said that back in Himesh's time they were still big. So they are still legit to count. So now do you understand how everything makes sense? I still can count them, but they have fallen of TODAY, not in 2006. Seriously, can't you figure out somethings for yourself? Or do I have to explain every small detail. So one more time, when Himesh won it, they were legit and popular. But now, since they are struggling to even have shows, they have fallen. Nothing is contradicting.

Manna Dey won 2 National Awards as well. End of conversation. Once again, you failed in another comparison. Also, when did he start singing? Because I'm pretty sure it was before Filmfare started giving out awards. So it's not a fair comparison to begin with if you want to just go by awards (which I don't suggest in the 1st place).



So really, you keep failing in these wild comparisons you make , and you have misunderstood many things.
