Well the whole point of the exercise is to determine whether he was THE Best so he has to be better than them ALL. But I understand you can't listen to so many songs so I'll pick my four favourite songs. So your three songs to compare are:

1. Suna mann ka angan from Parineeta
2. Hum hain is pal yahaan from Kisna
3. CHOOSE Either My Dil goes mmmmm from Salaam Namaste OR Barsaat ke din from Barsaat

Judging criteria: (1) sur/ singing in key (2) handling difficult parts like high notes, low notes, harkats, aalaaps, improvisations (3) expressing emotion (4) voice quality / tonal quality / timbre (5) pronunciation

Not bad criteria. Though I'd like to mention in giving Playback Singer of the Year, how big of a hit the song was is definately valued.

SONU NIGAM though has been singing for more times than HR as not been successful and hasn't been able to make enough rozi ROTI for him and his family.


The reason HR is top 9th tax payer, which means 9th richest person in bollywood is becos he is far better singer than sonu or all the other singers. if you sing one song and makes millions of it and become such rich, then that should be enough reason for the losers to know the facts.

HR's earnings are compared to those of top bollywood actors like SALMAN and is listed richer than AMITHAB in his 2008 income tax report.

I just hope the ignorants will be truthful and accept facts just once.

the results of songs sung by HR and SONU is matchless, HR's song is played everywhere and sells far more and tops the charts for very long time and keeps making HR so rich .

AR RAHMAN needed Himesh ji, not the other way.

I can give you links in which Lata ji has praised Sonu Nigam. Who in the world will doubt that. Perhaps only arrogant Himesh fans will.

And you never answer all the questions that are being asked to you. You move in a round and round manner and your train gets stuck at awards. You never judge Himesh based on his singing. The only statement you make is Himesh is the universal singer of 2006 since he got all the major awards that year. Well I say Himesh didn't win the Sansui Viewer Choice Movie Award that year. So he is not universal anymore. Now you will say that these are not major awards. But I will say these are major awards because as per your definition of major function, a major function is that function in which many bollywood stars go. Well even Sansui Viewer Choice Awards are attended by many bollywood personalities. What's your take on that?

Mika has won many awards in Punjab. So he should also be considered elite. Mohit Chauhan has also won Channel V music award. So he should also be elite. But you never mention them as successful awardees.

You see, I SUPPORT my opinion. Thats what I said. Give me 10 reasons why Sonu is better, and all you will have is your opinion. Me on the other hand, I have my own opnion, and things outside my opinion to support (Awards)

I've left a post or 2 of why I think Himesh is a good singer because of his singing. Looks like you missed those. But I did go through and talk solely on his singing and why he is such a good singer. Not referencing any awards.

Sansui Movie Awards, okay Himesh might have not won. Though, they aren't that big. And when I say universal, I mean in most major award shows he was considered winner. But that is besides the point, the point was he won in MANY major places. Not just like 1 award show like Star Screen or something.
He won in many major award functions.

The awards Mika and Mohit won, are not from major award shows. Don't know why u keep bringing them up.

As for the last group, their singing, accomplishments (awards aren't the only accomplishments one can have), poplarity, and songs can also make them elite.

By the way Mohit won Apsara award attended by Amitabh bachhans and family. First tell me which awards are prestigious and which arent. You mean only those awards Himmesh won are pretigeous and rest are not.
