The context of this discussion was to say devki was not a better person, it was not about if VV was good enough for Sabina,btw in a compromised marriage both partners will work for the betterment of each other unlike what Devki had done, which makes it valid to say what was said.
I wont say Devki is a better person than Sabeena. Both are good people in my opinion; just different in some ways, but similar in a lot of ways. They're in fact actually showing how similar they both are in the show, even by the lame things like talking the same way (About the life is a serious business thing and that candy scene). But I disagree that Devki has not worked for the betterment of their marriage; both VV and D have worked to make their marriage a friendship. It could easily have gotten messy and unhappy, especially with the "compromise" of their marriage. But they made it tolerable and in fact enjoyable to be in each other's company. They've fulfilled their duties towards their own and each other's families. They have helped each other achieve their dreams. Isn't that what marriage is all about? Of course, love is not there yet. Neither is physical intimacy. Maybe there will be both in time, maybe there won't. Can't say. But they do have a marriage. And Sabeena would probably have done everything the same way Devki has done; bringing the family together and everything. Maybe she would have done even better with VV's love and support. But we don't know that, coz she let of of VV. The path not taken is difficult to see where it would lead right? One can only speculate...
