Wonderful analysis of the mad, mad world of Indian Telly shows.

I am quiet bemused as to what do these shows represent. Are these supposed to be ultimate revenge of Indian women where the male characters are totally emasculated and are so supportive of the leads that they end up becoming mere props. Or Indian shows present the prevalent patriarchal view that women are source of all evil in this world and men are god's gifts to womankind.

Whatever, as long as it brings in the TRPs we are not going to see any change soon.

Another thing which confuses me are the unexpected or unexplained expressions given by the actors. Case in point is the lack of excitement on Gauri's face as she saw Ash (shown in the precap). Do these bring out the shades of the character or just the acting skills of the actor is a debatable issue.

I like Asawari. Acts well and has an inherent persona and grace.

I will support Aai Saheb's view that Sidri should get married asap. In traditional, conservative Indian household the present arrangement could be considered as living together.

IMO, Mohit Sehgal carries light hearted, flirtatious moments with elan but in scenes that asks for intensity he has a tendency to give a pinched expression which he can work to improve on. (There I go and commit harakiri).

As per the latest spoiler, Garv will develop feelings for Gauri. I mean just like that??? He is supposed to know that she is already engaged and all that. Is he a romanctic fool?

Love. Does strange things.

Hi Mili .. I loved what u wrote on what do Indian shows really represent.. Garv and his feelings for Gauri..I too wonder how will it develop unless there is considerable screen space given to both of them..here Sid and Gauri aren't even fortunate on this...😳 how would Garv fit in seamlessly to create a triangle? I am confused..

No Garv for 2 days in a row - am suffering from withdrawal symptoms ...😭

Did you read the new article..

shanthi.🤗My high hopes on a roothna manana Friday did bite the dust.. I was not looking for a saviour for Sid rather a girl in love with him...can we have a crash course on the shades of love for Gauriji...why were there no angry look from Gauri to Sid as she defended him and a talk alone on how could he get into this sort of a situation?
The article left me speechless they need to create a little tension between Gauri and Sid to justify Garv entering the scene or else his entry won't have any relevance. Garv needs to create that after all he is the anti hero...

Bhosle family seems kind of traditional... Here this kind of scenes is shown... I dun mind if they show it not in front of family... Makers should take note what they are showing... Even though this is a serial... Now I'm confuse whether Bhosle is modern as well or traditional 😆

Totally agree with you. I still feel that the Cvs made a mistake by getting Sid so early on in this show. His position now in the house is really weird. I mean what is he waiting for? The scene when he was being questioned made me cringe, I can understand the pained look on his face. In any traditional household, this kind of living arrangement will be frowned upon.

Dear friends, you are trying to find logic in Hindi serials.

It may be a blooper.

Koel, it is just my personal opinion but I feel I order to give Sid's character some bit of poise the cvs should show him leave for London for a short while. Only then 'halaat' , the favourite ploy of the cvs can play an important role and Garv suddenly gets bitten by the love bug.

Sid's decision to wait till eternity can please the actor's fan base but is robbing the character of credibility. This is just my subjective opinion.

Koel - wonderful as always. You are bang on about the sorry state of our telly shows.

Have not watched the episode yet. Feel sorry for a wonderful person like Sid getting trapped in the filthy world of Bhonsle family politics.

Asavari will not sudhrofy inspite of all her 'best laid plans' (as she thinks) falling flat. Need Appa Saheb to be back soon, Garv getting more active in the game. Looking forward to see what Pratiksha does after hearing Aaji's words.

Koel loved reading your analysis, and without watchin the episode in have got the gist of it and unfortunately so true, serials don't tend to very often go where no serial has ever been before. As Garv gone back in hiding again?

Yeh kya just like that he falls for Gauri? R they trying to speed to the process up for TRP sakes and in that hurry r forgetting that Garv starting to have feelings for her shud happen over time, he is the anti hero and yeah he certainly has not been shown in the brief scenes he has been in to b a romantic fool. I was hoping for a Garv who was on screen longer but who still had a strong stance and remained a strong characters who took the story ahead.

For the sake of TRP, the producers fed us junk food because we like that.

In serials, unlike in classics, the story is not fixed rather dynamic.

It changes with the mood of the majority viewers.

Dear friends, you may recall that there was severe argument - Sid vs Garv - who is more MACHO.

Also recall Sid's fighting with Goondas to save Pratiksha.

The first one triggered the second.

My point is we, the LONG SUFFERING VIEWERS should refuse to eat the garbage,

that is just stop watching.

Then for the sake of TRP, producers will rewrite the script.

Actually, we, the viewers should be the dictator.

Few moments back, one article has been posted in this forum, which supports my view.
