I like everything about this movie - story, setting, acting, songs,lyrics. Sharmila’s outfits are so apt for every scene. The theme of the movie, a married man & woman finding love/solace elsewhere, an orphan child finding motherly love in a stranger is so beautifully captured.

You really don’t have to be related to be loved. It comes to us in different forms, some are lucky to recognize and acknowledge it.❤️❤️

Manasi, like you I too like Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s movies a lot. These tend to leave you with profound thoughts. Gulzar's words leave me numb.

Another favorite of mine is tad bit old hollywood movie 'Shawshank Redemption' If haven’t already watched it, I’d recommend it. Some of the monologues of this movie are fantastic.

Added later: another one I forgot to mention is Dil chahta hai. I liked how they have depicted friendship in this movie. How the heart yearns to be young and infact becomes young when you are around friends. Despite the differences, misunderstandings, the tug one feels just thinking of close friends is heartwarming! ❤️

I haven't seen Amar Prem🙈 But the songs are so beautiful...I esp love Kuch Toh Log Kahenge

Dil Chahta Hai...yes of course...also part of my all time fav list along either Zindagi Na Mile doobara, Chak De and Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na....actually the list is quite endless 😆
