So today's episode has come and gone. I wanted to post this update before the episode but it wasn't meant to be. Anyways, here's the next part.

Part 2

Vir got out of his past with a jolt as the car stopped. He had arrived at Daksh Singh Shekhawat's birthday party. Now that he was here, he was already regretting coming. What was he going to do at a birthday party? Now that he was here already, he had no option but to go in.

Vir walked towards Daksh's house and rang the doorbell. Dhwani was the closest to the door so she started walking towards the door. Vir was getting impatient waiting for someone to open the door. Surely you keep the door open if you're expecting guests at a party. Vir made a phone call to Veer whilst waiting and started walking as he talked, away from the entrance.

Vir: Why do people invite you for a party and then not even open the door? I'm going to leave.

Veer: No Baba, you've gone out to a party for the first time in 6 months. Just wait, someone will open the door.

On the other hand Dhwani was making the slowest walk to the door. She couldn't walk fast due to the high heels she was wearing. God knows what made me wear them, she thought. Finally, she made it to the door and opened it to find no one there. She called out 'Hello! Is anyone there?' but no one responded. Vir heard someone call out and it looked like the door was finally open. Vir finished his phone call with Veer.

Vir: Okay, looks like someone has finally opened the door. I have to go.

Veer: Enjoy yourself and don't worry about Juhi and Manas.

Vir: Why would I worry?

Veer: I know you never ask of them but I know you care and worry for them. Me and Sudha will feed and put them to bed.

Vir: Goodbye.

Veer: I know you care about the kids, just don't know how to express your feelings to them after losing Purviji. I hope you can move on soon Baba and be the father that you were to me, Nandu, Juhi and Manas.

Vir started making his way back to the door.

After waiting for a response and when none came, Dhwani closed the door and went back to the party. By the time Vir walked to the door, the door was closed again. Badtameez people, closing the door on their guests. He considered walking away again but thought he'll follow Veer's advice for once and rang the doorbell again.

Chandni heard the doorbell and opened the door this time and she got the best surprise she could have wanted. Her groom in front of her eyes. She couldn't believe it. God truly did work miracles. She immediately asked him to come in.

C: Hello. I am Chandni and your name is?

V: Mukhi Virendra Pratap Singh, he said with full swagger.

C: Oh Mukhiji, my brother told me about you. Welcome, come in, come in! She said excitedly.

Vir walked in without responding.

As they walked towards the main hall of the party. Chandni again started dreaming of her wedding to Mukhiji. She started imagining Vir in a sehra and the song, dukhe ka sehra playing in the background.

Vir: Why is this woman staring at me? What is her problem? I need to get away from her. Can you please take me to your brother, I'd like to wish him a happy birthday.

Ch: Yes I'll take you to him, first I can give you a tour of the house.

Vir: No thank you. Some other time maybe. Crazy woman.

Ch: There's my brother.

V: Thank you. I can manage myself. You go enjoy the party, you must have so many guests to entertain. I don't want to be a burden on you. Vir stated before she could cling to him even further.

Ch: You're no burden at all.

Chandni finally left him alone. As Vir looked around, he noticed Daksh on the dance floor with a woman in black. She had her back to him so he couldn't see Dhwani. They swayed on the dance floor. Seeing that reminded Vir of the college party he attended with Bawri and when they danced together. She actually managed to get him in a suit! How he remembered the things he did for her. A smile came on his lips automatically.

Then he remembered where he was and made his way to a sofa and sat down. He thought not to interrupt Daksh whilst dancing so he would wait.

Daksh, whilst dancing noticed Mukhiji on the sofa.

D: Dhwani, give me a few minutes. I've just noticed Mukhiji over there. I'll just go say hello.

Dh: Let me see, who this Mukhiji is, whom you're giving so much importance to.

D: Look over there. The man in the brown pagdi and red kurta.

Dhwani turned her head towards him but just then a waiter blocked her view.

D: I'll just be back, okay?

Dh: Okay.

Whilst waiting around, Vir did what he's been doing the last 6 months. Staring at a picture of Bawri on his phone. He was so lost in her, he didn't notice when Daksh approached him.

D: Where are you lost Mukhiji?

Vir: No, nothing. Vir put his phone away before Daksh could see Purvi's picture.

D: Thank you for coming.

Vir: I wasn't going to but my son convinced me. Also, many happy returns of the day.

D: Thank you. Waiter! Please get a drink for me and Mukhiji.

Vir: No thank you. I don't drink alcohol.

D: What? Okay, I'll get some juice for you. I have reason to celebrate today so I will drink to my hearts content.

Vir: A man drinks for two reasons, in happiness or in sadness to forget.

D: Then why does a man not drink at all? Like yourself Mukhiji?

Vir: I prefer to stay in my senses.

In reality, Vir was not happy and neither would he allow himself to drown his sorrows away. Drinking would allow him to forget the pain in his heart for a while but he'd prefer to be in pain and sober. As that is what he deserved.

D: Today is the happiest day of my life Mukhiji! Today I proposed to my life partner. She's been in my life for 6 months only and I can't imagine my life without her. Do you know how that feels?

Vir: Being in love is the greatest feeling in the world... (He smiled remembering Bawri and his love, she'd been in his life for 9 months only and he would live his life with her memories) ...I mean, you must be very happy.

D: Happy? I'm ecstatic! Let me introduce you to my fiancee. Dhwani get over here!

Dhwani heard her name being called and started walking over. Vir had his head down, checking the time. Dhwani made it over and Vir looked up. Just then a waiter spilled juice over Dhwani.

D: What the hell! Are you blind? Can't you see? You've ruined her dress!

Daksh went to help Dhwani and thus blocked Vir from being able to see Dhwani's face. He heard her voice however when she said, she'll go clean up in the bathroom. That voice sounded so familiar. Who's voice was that? Bawri? It can't be. He needed to see who this woman was, as what he was thinking couldn't be possible.

Vir asked to be excused, he needed to see who this woman was. He asked a waiter where the ladies bathroom was. He had to clarify that his wife was there, as the waiter looked at him funny. He got the directions and started walking towards the bathroom. Meanwhile, Chandni came and spoke to Daksh.

Ch: Daksh, that man, Mukhiji is my groom.

D: What?

Ch: Yes! He’s the one I met this afternoon. What a dashing man.

D: He’s got charisma, I’ll give him that. Let's see if you can woo him. He just never reacts. I gave him an extra 10% for his land and still no smile. Can you marry and live with a khadoos like that?
Ch: Leave that to me.

Vir waited outside the bathroom for that woman to come out. Whilst he was waiting the lights went off so he didn’t notice when Dhwani walked out. As she walked past, he caught a whiff of her perfume. He turned the flashlight on his phone, to follow her. He felt like a pervert and stalker, following a lonely woman but he needed to check, to confirm it wasn’t Bawri. His heart was telling him it was her voice but his head was telling him it cannot be. She was gone. Dead.

Dhwani walked along in the darkness trying to get back to the party, she didn’t have her phone to even see ahead. She could tell someone was following her. She started to speed up and nearly got into a sprint, if only her shoes permitted. Why did I wear heels today? She was walking so fast that she didn’t realise when she fell into the swimming pool outside.

Vir was following this woman when he heard a splash. He ran forward and looked with his phone. The woman had fallen into the pool and it looked like she couldn’t swim. He jumped in after her to save her. Dhwani was struggling to get up to the surface of the water. When she felt a pair of hands on her body. Who is this grabbing me? Vir managed to haul Dhwani up with his arms around her and bring her to the surface. Her necklace got stuck on his chain. He tried to untangle himself from her in the darkness and eventually he succeeded. The lights finally came on.

Vir looked away as Dhwani covered her body with her hands. Her clothes were sticking to her body due to the water and she looked down. Vir, ever the gentleman, turned away and took off his vest jacket and handed it over to her. Dhwani took it gratefully and placed it over her shoulders. Vir was getting out of the pool when he heard her say ‘Thank you for saving my life.’ That voice. He turned around to look at the woman, she raised her head up and looked directly at Vir’s face.

Vir: Bawri, whispered Vir.

As Vir looked on in disbelief to see his Bawri alive. Dhwani looked at this strange man staring at her. He looked familiar. Her head started spinning, she kept seeing flashing images and then proceeded to faint. Vir managed to grab her before she fell in the water again. Bawri! He shouted.

Yeah I wanted them to meet the same way, when they met at the ghat because that scene was magical. One of the best scenes of PurVir.
