It happened too quickly, says lead actress
Prabhleen Sandhu, proceeding to recount her last day on the sets.
MOHE Rang De wraps up on Friday, March 6. The cast and crew have already shot the last episode, says lead actress Prabhleen Sandhu.
"It was very touching," she says. "Everything happened so fast. We didn't get the time to throw a farewell party. But, yes, there were certainly some emotional moments. Actually, on the last day, only Gavie (Chahal, lead actor), and I were shooting. After we finished, the entire team clicked pictures together. Everyone had tears in their eyes except me. I am very practical about things. Obviously, I was sad. But I can't do anything about it, na?"
Prabhleen gives us a peek into how the story will wrap: "It will be a goody-goody ending, a positive one. India will get freedom and things will be fine between Veer and Kranti. I can't reveal more than that. You'll have to watch it yourself!"
The actress is displeased, though, "Frankly, I am not happy because everything happened so quickly. It had to end the same way it has ended now, but it was supposed to happen gradually. Climax wahi hona tha, par jaise hona tha usmein farak hai (The climax was the same, but the way it was to happen is different). And I am not very happy with that."
She spoke about her character and the direction she would have preferred her role to go: "Last mein (in the end), Veer will shoot the lieutenant, so I wanted ki (that) Kranti should have done that. I even told my director that last mein jaate jaate thoda heroism dikhaane do na Kranti ko (Let Kranti show some heroism as it comes to an end). I truly feel ki agar aise end hota toh kitna achcha hota (Had it ended like this, it would have been so much better)."
Prabhleen admits she will miss the show terribly: "I will miss everyone, the whole team, in fact, because we were like family. I will miss Kranti terribly. But everything has to move on. I'm not going to sit and cry about it. I am looking forward to other shows which will come my way. I hope I get to play something as interesting and different as Kranti."
After wrapping up the shoot two days ago, the actress flew to her hometown Punjab and will get back to work once she is back in Mumbai after a week.
The last episode of Mohe Rang De will be telecast on Friday, March 6, at 9.30 pm, on Colors.
