It feels great to know that people still remember the good old days................. my perception is that the new age television has lost the essence and ekta kapoor's shows get on my nerves........can't bear her serials..😡😡...kya karoon uske shows mujhe samajh mein nahi aate............................ Of course I used to watch Kachhi Dhoop. Used to be aired on SUnday and I used to be in front of the TV religiously. Such a sweet serial!

And Byomkesh Bakshi! U know I have read all the stories and must say that the makers had done justice to the stories, given the constraints faced by them at that time.

Kavita was too good in Udaan.

As for BT serials, they have just destroyed the entire realm and suddenly kitchen politics gained predominance. She and her team killed the heart and soul of relationships and stories depicted in soaps, everything seems so fake that after sometime the fakeness gets to your nerves. That's why I stay away from her soaps, doesn't matter if the lead is good looking or not. They may be, am not blaming them, but I want a break from those serials for at least some time.

@ Namitha.... you are right.... aaj kal ka serial sab ek jaisa he... ghoom birkar ek he story baar baar aa raha he.... BTW is the serial Kitni Mohabat hai is ekatha's... I hope it is... bcos its a jumbled form of Kaise yeh pyar he, Kasturi and Kaajjal.... 😡, fark he tho bus gaane ki aur lead roles ki... baaki sab same same.... @ poetic... you are always correct dear... OLD is GOLD...😊

Even I used to see.. Udaan, Vyomkesh Bakshi and Malgudi days.... Did you people seen one serial of Pallavi joshi's named Arohan (one navy force related story....) it was such a great show....

dear I remember this serial ran only for about 13 episodes..........and ekta kapoor's shows just go on and on...............pata nahi kitne generation leaps leti hai .🤪🤪
that was indeed a golden era........
each and every serial of doordarshan was good......be it udaan,hum log, malgudi days,aarohan,farmaan,waagle ki duniyaa,hum panchi ek daal ke, flop show.......hai jaspal bhatii.....was amazing in this show.. .....I really liked his sense of humour.
I really wish I could watch these serials again....................
