And Byomkesh Bakshi! U know I have read all the stories and must say that the makers had done justice to the stories, given the constraints faced by them at that time.

Kavita was too good in Udaan.

As for BT serials, they have just destroyed the entire realm and suddenly kitchen politics gained predominance. She and her team killed the heart and soul of relationships and stories depicted in soaps, everything seems so fake that after sometime the fakeness gets to your nerves. That's why I stay away from her soaps, doesn't matter if the lead is good looking or not. They may be, am not blaming them, but I want a break from those serials for at least some time.

yes poet.......BT serials.........are full of inane stuff...........the effect of Ekta mai's serials is depressing.......
She just knows how to demean women and can only show them brooding in negativity.Her shows are bereft of any logic or sense.The serials of those days had good story line.........I just hope we will get to see something sensible in future

netu I agree with you dear ..old Mahabharta and Ramayana attracted the attention of the entire nation.
we guys used to wait eagerly for these shows........and watch it with rapt attention.I remember when mahabharat was aired the streets used to get deserted...........I used to get up early on sunday to watch it..
what made the old DD serials good was the storyline, dialogues, and amicable characters..😳😳.

the serials today have become cliched.......and revolve around conspiracies.........thanks to ekta mai.😡.😡.😡.Gone are the days when we could actually sit with the entire family and watch television.
BTW did you all watch or remember the shows :

In Arohan... do you remember... there was Madhavan(the man who is in 13B...) .... as airforce officer... in a single episode.. and he dies in a crash, in that same episode.... Haaaaaiii My heart just broke firstly on that occasion...

Srikanth is another famous work of Sharatchandra Chattopadhyay and the hero in question was never a loser like Devdas. But we hardly saw major screenplay adaptations.
