AT present, it lies with the two Ks only. But I used to love Mulder and Scully in X Files (I still do).

But why are you so surprised?

David and Gillian 😎 what a pretty couple..I too was a fan and my siblings suffered at home😆as I would go gaga over them..but they r married to others in real lifealways thought and wished that they would end up..but it never took place that woman seems to be sleeping around with every man 🤢anyways!!!!! Poet! I was surprised becoz Most people on the forum r hard core deewanis of any TV couple or a character😆I notice that u r just a viewer..unlike me who learnt some hard knocks😆

Vasu, my poor family members and friends suffered a lot too. 😆 In fact, you can say I am a hardcore X-Phile, though I didn't understand all episodes and I did miss some of them. I have some catching up to do on that count.

See I mentioned Mulder and Scully! What an awesome couple and not the usual syrupy kinds. I loved 'the connection' that they had. Imagine people going ga ga over a couple who hadn't even being close, even thought they were so close. SUch dichotomy and what emotional bonding! What chemistry!

As for David and Gillian, I also wanted them to end up together but dropped the idea when I found that they were married. But I read recently that David's got separated because of some problems.

There are lots of character I loved, some from old serials. I was crazy for a serial called Kshitij Yeh Nahin, which used to be aired on DD many years ago. It was a short serial, I think there were only 26 episodes, but it was such a nice serial, starring Supriya Pilgaonkar, Tushar Dlavi, Rajit Kapoor and Mohan Gokhale.
SImple, elegant and dignified. I would have loved to watch it again. But ....

Sorry for barging in but when someone is talking about old shows of Doordarshan cant help jumping in

You said Kshitij Yeh Nahin.... I too loved it......Supriya played a widow and had daughter and she fell in love with this guy…her neighbor.. but wont admit it…. Mature love story…

i just remember those days when i used to watch Tv a lot …in those times doordarshan was only broadcaster n all the serials were amazing….i can list most of them…..i watched everything from HUM LOG to BAHRAT EK KHOJ

VAGLE KI DUNIYA TO MALGUDI DAYS

but my favorites were FARMAAN & THE SWORD OF TIPU SULTAN.

Have seen many repeat telecasts of Farmaan…..Kanwaljit and Deepika … their rocking chemistry…. treat to watch… one of the best love stories

N period shows… always great attraction to me….till date I love Sanjay khan for playing Tipu sultan

The older serials were quality shows…. All had different subject…..no two shows had common theme….Those were somehow more real….close to reality…with best actors, directors, writers….simply the best

N I loved the short span of too….no dragging no stupid tracks….no twisting n turning from main plot… e.thing was just perfect about those shows….

I wish I cd find videos of those sumwhere….

Yes Netu, those days the subjects were mature and varied and it was a pleasure to watch all those serials.

Yes, Farmaan ... me and my sister used to sit down in front of the TV every Monday to watch it. The characters were so good, there were grey characters, but very few characters which were overtly black.

Then, Pachpan Khmabe Lal Deewarein ...

The Great Maratha ...

The Sword of Tipu Sultan ...

Malgudi Days ...

Nukkad ..

Circus ...

Golden days, I would say!

Kshitij Yeh Nahin --- awwwwwwwwwwww, I just loved it. The guy (Shekhar) wanted to admit his love so badly, while Nisha (played by Supriya) held back her feelings. Loved it when Nisha's Father-in-law and Shekhar's sister decides to play the cupid.

Oh I miss it, I wish I could watch it now. 😭
