Actually Dawn, these are much easier than Jo's lot.. ( at the end of her session, I realised I had almost gone bald pulling my hair out 😉)

I'm already rubbing my hands in anticipation)

OK, I give you two scenarios.. tell me which one you think is true abt me. 😉

Scenario 1- We had met at his college fest..he was at IIM, Ahdbd, me at XIM, Bbsr.. I was in a team representing my B-School. We ran into each other at different events, had light interactions, and after the fest was over, I was back at my campus.
After placements, my parents started looking for a match. They advertised. And we got respones.. one of them was from his family.. we met each other.. and it was Voila !!! Havent we met each other before?? We got married in a month..

Scenario 2- After placements, parents advertised. They answered. Families corresponded, decided to meet up at a well known Gurudwara. We were punctual. I waited with my mom and dad. They came much later. When I first saw him, I whispered to my mom, " He is handsome !" Mom shooed me..we met, he asked me, " Kept you waiting for long?". I said, "Yes".
We went to a more comfortable location (read, hotel) to sit up and talk.. and we yapped about Beatles and Pink Floyd. I went home and said Yes immediately, and so did he. We were married in a month.

So, tell me, which one of them is true? 😉😃

2. What do you like about your Sasural ?

Good Qn - MIL is super cool. She takes charge of the whole house, while I m engaged with frantic activity on the keyboard. Supportive, in one word. 😊

3. What dont you like about your Sasural ?

Minor foibles. All in all, I think I have a very good package. (Amen)

4. What habit / action / trait of your hubby drives you round the bend?

When he sits down on his laptop/cell phone and would not move for even three days, if given a chance. I have to proverbially drag him up and get him to do everything/anything. 😉😃

5. What's your daughter's name ? Any reason why you chose that ?

I love this qn Dawn. How did you decide to ask it?

Her name is Ishrat, it means affection. I think both of us wanted a unique name, for starters, and I admit, we have a soft corner for Urdu names.

6. When you're out training corporates .......... do you take instant dislike / like to any of your trainees ? What makes you do that ? And how do you get over it ?

Not actually. Each individual is different. And interesting in his/her own way. I have learned NOT to make an opinion while on job. Believe me, it makes the task much, much easier. You are not bogged down by personal judgement, and it keeps you more receptive since your slate is a clean one.

7. Have you ever encountered gender bias in the corporate world ? In what way ?

When I was in a corporate job ( read, the mundane Finance one) , YES. And I quit. Ever since started my own stuff, NO. But that could be because, I dint have much of an aptitude in finance, and am good at the current stuff I m doing. So dont know whether it was gender bias, or my own lack of skills in the erstwhile job.

8. How do you commute to work ?

I drive.

9. How you spend your weekends / holidays ?

Touchy Qn.. Setting up your own firm means a lot of hard work, and these days my hubby travels hell of a lot. But still, weekends are cool, when he is around. Usually go out for a movie, dine out, meet friends.
Been more than a year since we took a vacation. (psst-one lined for this new year, keeping my fingers crossed)

10. You are a Carpicon ...........and like Linda Goodman claims ......... do you have you "goat" like traits ???
(read steadfastness of purpose / sure footed / resilient ..... you can add on )

I actually dont believe in Linda Goodman.. I think she is one of the overrated authors. Though I like my sunsign, I dont believe all Capricorns have a 'set' pattern of characteristics. Its more do with the individual, rather than the sun-sign.

11. What is you hubby's sun-sign?

Will you believe me if I say Capricorn? And yes, we are as different as challk and cheese. Hence the above observation.

12. Lastly ............ Do you share MRD forum stories with your hubby ?

Arre..Never.. he is almost a Nobel Laureate (hahaha..now that was a funny one). But no, he can never be interested in such 'mundane' things in life. He is a CEO, Consultant, Educationist, member of Min of FInance, all rolled into one. (See, the kind of benchmark I have to keep up with? ) 😆

Before I post my answers to An's Qns.. two things, Nobody has started on the small exercise I have given out, so ladies, please do.

And this one is for Dawn, your guess was right. I guess I gave much away in the second scenario, making it more relatable/ realisitc. 😉😆

Ok, here is my take on the forum members-

Jyoti: The Captain of the ship. Not only does she moderate and coordinate random opinions, she takes charge and gets the act together. When we all are just cribbing, she takes charge of the situation, and gets the whole forum together. She converts thoughts into action. And she does it every time. Icing in the cake, the eternal optimist, has a huge reservoir of positive energy (reflected in her never ending updates, and have never seen her losing temper).

Dawn: I'll be honest. One of my favorites. This girl is a dreamer, but a practical person too. There is a touching innocence in her dreams,but she doesnt float in the clouds. Her feet are on the ground. One who chooses her words carefully, and delicately, but firmly, expresses her opinion. Her romantic notions and fancies are there, but behind that is a person who always knows what she is talking about. A very clear headed individual, yet comes up with the most dreamy scenarios. I have called her my cosmic twin, our perceptions have been so identical. Btw, love her face-off with her bro and dad. LOL.

Nupur:My interaction with Nups has been limited, the Shubhu-Immu jokes, and her fascination for Obama apart, this lady is one of the most non controversial members of the forum. SHe is extremely perceptive to others' sentiments. Jokes a lot, but never crosses the boundary. I would like to know more on her thoughts, which she seldom shares.

Vasu: Haha.. if I use the 'fence-sitter' for her one more time (or the Shabbir fixation), she will kill me. SO I would look for something beyond the obvious. She is surely a person of less words, and mostly expresses her opinons by either agreeing or disagreeing to an ongoing discussion. At best, she would write a line. 😃. But, totally logical.
p.s. And I dont even know how many fora she is active on. If I go searching, I think I'll find her on all.. ;)

Purvi: A very clear headed individual. Has a keen eye to detail and comes up with some astounding predictions. (Which are mostly accurate, unlike JO, who comes up with the most bizarre predictions) 'Ducking from Jo..

Ranjana: A new member, but a very active one. Sensitive, yet practical. Yet again, a lot of clarity in thought. And a very fine gauging of emotions. Clearly visible in her beautiful FF's.

Bhawana: The typical fun loving, boisterous, exuberant, extrovert Punjabi. Very transparent with her thoughts, actively participates in all the discussions in the forum.

Rati: The diligent videobie. Never seen her discussing in the open forum, but is always punctual in her video updates. Lucky to have such a silent hardworking individual on the forum. And she doesnt do it for appreciation. A round of applause for Rati.

Neha: The only person in the forum to have come up with a beautiful VM ( and our very first one). Has a child like enthusiasm and innocence about her.

Sam: A new member to the forum, havent interacted much with her so far, but surely a very sweet and positiver person. And I agree with An, greatly reminds me of Jo. More on her, once get more chance to interact with her.

Bugs- New member again, but came to my notice immediately, owing to her clarity of thought and frank opinions. Makes sense all the time, and everything she rights is very logical.

An- Yet again, someone I am very fond of. Clearly one of the most clear minded members in the forum. Totally rational, expresses her opinions in a very upfront and frank manner. Love to read her take on things, simply coz they are so bang on and accurate. Loyal to the core to her cause, she can sustain an argument beautifully. A person of few words, but very sensitive to others sentiments.

Skepti: I come to her last. Because I do not know how to sum her up in a few words. When we started interacting on this forum, there were a handful of us, Skep, Jo, An,Dawn,Nups, vasu and me. Skep came to my notice by way of her "Random Thoughts", which were anything but random. They were clearly detailed, coordinated, and systematic thoughts. Always one who has fiercely guarded her privacy, but I feel I know so much about her, by having read her thoughts. THOSE give her away. Then came the verses, then the puzzles, games, her simple, beautiful, and clean art and it was like discovering a gem. She likes to hide herself behind a veneer of clever misdirection, but you know the real person after a while. A warm, sensitive, loving, strong, determined person, who can lead a cause single handedly. Can hold her ground against the forum, if the opportunity arises. Need I say, a clear favorite. I still believe she should be the permanent MOTW on the forum.

And me? I have to write about myself An? Now thats an exercise I would rather give to all the aforementioned members. I have already described myself in An's set of Qns..

Thank you Dew for describing each one of us. You seem to be very attached to this forum and its members, you described each member so perfectly. I know, I am sounding repetitive like Kranti.. 😃 but thanks again for your words regarding me. 😳

Now to your questions, though I would like to point out that, this is called bending rules and not at all fair. 😊 😆(just kidding). And, also like my questions, I am bad at answering, and I will write only the half-truth, nothing but the half-truth.

Vasu ........ I'm going to repeat "fence sitter" ......nothing will prompt her to take sides / waste words .... unless it has something to do with a certain Shabbir ..... then she'll wax eloquently .......

Bhawna ..... only one words pops up ...... ENTHUSIASTIC .....

Neha ...... the Gen Nxt doubtlessly .......... rocks the forums with her posts .....

Purvi ..... as her name .... pretty "cool" ... gives her opinion quite logially without beating around the bush.........

Very helpful and sweet..even though after marriage it was difficult for me to cope up with a joint family culture,but they all made my life much easier by co-operating with me😳..My mom-in-law is the sweetest...I never missed my mom or dad after coming in my sasural just because of the love and warmth that I got from everyone😃

4) Tell us one little secret about yourself (Anything)I m really very shy and hot tempered..I know noone will believe me here😆😆..but its a reality😕

5) The Country you are residing in. India

6) The city you are living in. Mumbai

7) Your take on your city. Its a city with spirit and positivity all around..even after such terror attacks,we r not bogged down to the pressure and r still leading a normal and fearless life👏..I feel Mumbaikars r born with lots of talent and creativity and we believe in leading lives King size😉...This city is filled with people hving lots of aspirations and this city also believes in making someone's dream come true in a short span of time👏

8) Your marital status- Single/ Attached/ Married/ ElseMarried early this year in February to my childhood sweetheart☺️..between I m just 24😆😳

Skepti:The Heroine of our forum and I just cannot imagine this wonderful forum without Skepti's presence,..I think the way she expresses her POVs is always a treat to read👏..and not to forget her brilliant poems and those tricky puzzles with which she always entertains and keeps us engaged😳..in short she is the queen of our forum😃...I think I came very close to her as a person also via pms..she is a wonderful person to interact with...got to learn many things about life from her😳

Dawn:Another member who is filled with sheer talent and brilliance when it comes to her opinions,writing skills and creativity👏👏...I knew her from RKB forum but there we hv not interacted much but in MRD forum I saw the real side of Dawn😳...I saw the way she expresses her feelings with so much of love and affection...I think I m really fond of her writing and love reading her replies to my daily updates😳

Ena:Ok I think we both hv many things in common starting from our love for Rajbir😉😳..Again Ena too is a wonderful writer and is hving a superlative brian when it comes to expressing her viewpoints in a very matured manner👏...I got to know her more well through few exchange of pms and I think she has got a very matured outlook towards life and things related to life👏...I get really influenced with her writings sometimes👏

Vasu:I think our regular interactions via pms hv made me really close to her😳...I really appreciate and respect her opinion for different actors because I know that they r always very honest👏..I like the way she always expresses her honest POVs without being politically correct or partial👏😃...Also a very friendly member and sometimes funny and witty too with her views😉😛..

These were my four favourites from this forum😳..but other than that I also feel very close to Ranju,Anshu,Nups,Bhawna(I hope she vomes back soon from her holidays😭),Purvi,Saarala,Pari,Aash,Sam(Well I m the closest to her in real life as well😳),Neha,Sari,Ananya,Rati and all those new members who hv joined recently in our forum😃...
