Hey guys, i know the answer to this might be "because of tradition".. but just wanted to discuss on.. when somebody dies, evey religion beleives you have to wear a diffrent colour clothing😕

e.g. hindus,sikhs & muslims would have to wear white

e.g. christians will have to wear black

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I mean why is their such a custom?..
I believe that this is because different colours have different meaning in religions. In some cultures white is associated to death. White is a pure colour, representing something pure and innocent. I think that when people wears white, it in a sense purify the funeral showing respect to the death. As u said it all goes with cultures and traditions.
Same goes to the black, christians normally wear black as it reprensent the color of death for them. Black is a very strong colour showing grieving. Showing the loss of something precious.
Muslim normally wear white not black...😳😊
erm well actually in islam! and thus for muslims
only the person dead wears white (the kaffan) which is the cloth they are dressed in
although mnay opt for white
its not compulsary you can wear whatever so long as its apropriate and not disrespectful!
hence no flashy clothes, outrageaous makeup or bright colours
hope that helped!
