CHAPTER - 6

CHAPTER - 7

One day,Nupur was busy in the kitchen and Mayank was busy in his laptop.Muskaan was playing with her dolls and playthings and talking with her doll.Suddenly she felt very hungry and ran to Nupur in the kitchen and said,"Mamma bhuth lagi hai,khaana do."Nupur already had prepared her food and then said,"Ha ha mujhe yaad hai,meri jaan ko bhukh lagi hai isiliye mamma ne unke kehne se pehle hi khaana tayyar kar liya hai."Nupur put a dish on the table and Muskaan saw that,Nupur gave her two small roti and light curry as food.Muskaan was surprised since,she was not accustomed to eating all these and she remembered that everyone had this food in the house.She asked,"Mamma ye to mamma papa baala khaana hai na?Mu ab ye bi khaayegi?"Nupur nodded her head and said,"Ha beta ab Muskaan to bari ho rahi hai na,to ab to aapko sab khaana aana chahiye.Phir jab aap school jaaogi na to mamma aapko tiffin mein saare tasty tasty khaane pack karke degi."She tore a very small piece of food and gave that to Muskaan and asked how it was and she was very happy on having that new kind of food.Muskaan asked,"Mamma Mu kul daayegi?"Nupur replied,"Ha bilkul school jaayegi.School jaayegi tabhi to vo papa jitni bari hogi na.Phir jaise papa office jaate hai thik vaise hi Muskaan bhi office mein jaayegi."Muskaan widened her eyes and asked,"Mu papa jitti bai ho daayegi?Mu papa ke chaath opich bi daayegi?"Nupur nodded her head and then said,"Ha to abhi aap ye khaana khaalo phir ek din mamma aur papa dono milkar aapko school chorkar aayenge."After completing the food,Muskaan ran to Mayank to give him the news.She came to Mayank and said,"Papa papa mamma ne bola ke Mu kul daayegi aul mamma mudhe aththa aththa khaana degi aul aaj mamma ne mudhe loti khilaayi."Mayank replied,"Really???To iska matlab Muskaan bari ho gayi hai."Muskaan nodded her head and opened her arms and said,"Ha itti bai!!Papa mudhe game khelni hai.Abhi mamma nei aayegi mudhe khelne do phil na mamma dekhegi to daategi."Mayank nodded his head and gave his laptop to Muskaan and she started playing a game which Mayank had taught her.Nupur never liked Muskaan playing games in the laptop as it would affect her eye sight but Mayank used to allow her when Nupur was not near them.After sometime,Muskaan became bored and gave away the laptop to him.While Mayank was again busy,Muskaan came in front of the dressing table and opened Nupur's make-up box.She took out everything and then remembering how Nupur used to apply them on the face,she at first put the lipstick on her lips ,but not on the lips but all over her cheeks and then she picked up the powder and applied it all over her face and became a white monster.She turned towards Mayank and called him to show herself.He was literally scared and called Nupur.When she came,Mayank showed her Muskaan's condition.She asked,"Muskaan ye sab kya hai?"Muskaan replied,"Mamma ye lagaati hai kitti aththi lagti hai,maine bi lagaya,Mu aththi lag layi hai na?"Nupur took a cloth and then picked up Muskaan and made her sit on her lap and replied,"Muskaan beta ye sab mamma ka samaan hai,ye chote babies ke liye nehi hai baro ke liye hai.Aapke liye powder aur cream sab alag se rakkhe huye hai na?Aap vo lagaana.Jab aap bare ho jaoge tab mamma ye sab aapko lagwa degi par abhi nehi.Aapko pata hai chote bachcho ko ye sab lagaane se face par infection ho jaate hai.Face ganda ho jaata hai unka."Nupur started cleaning her face and then Muskaan asked,"Mamma litick(lipstick) ganni hai?"Nupur replied,"Ha gandi hai aur meri princess to aise hi itni khubsurat hai,unhe in sab cheezo ki koi zarurat nehi hai.Chalo mamma aapka face wash kara degi."She took Muskaan to the washroom and then washed her face with baby soap and then wiped her face with a clean cloth and then left for the kitchen asking her not to touch those things.While Mayank went to the washroom and Muskaan was playing with her doll,Rajendra came to their room seeking for Mayank.On seeing him,Muskaan was very scared and ran to the washroom and started banging on the door and calling Mayank and said,"Papa papa daldi baal(bahaar) aao,dadu aaye hai.Mu ko dal lag laa (raha) hai.Daldi aao."After banging for sometime,Mayank at last came out and he asked,"Kya baat hai beta itne zor zor se darwaaza kyu pit rahi ho,papa aa rahe hai na?"Muskaan quickly hid behind Mayank and peeped at Rajendra from Mayank's back.On seeing him,Mayank asked,"Dad aap yaha?"He replied,"Ha vo ek file dene aaya tha,kal ki meeting ke liye maine check kar diya hai."He took the file and before leaving Rajendra glared at Muskaan and she again hid behind Mayank.After he left,Mayank pulled Muskaan from his back and kneeled down on front of her and asked,"Kya ho raha tha ye sab?"She pouted and replied,"Mu ko dadu che dal lagta hai.Vo Mu ko daatenge na?"Mayank said,"Aapko koi nehi daatega is ghar mein.Mamma papa hai na aapke saath.Koi kuch nehi kahega aapko aur agar aisa kisine kiya na to main aur mamma milkar unko aur zor se data denge.Mazaak hai kya??Koi hamaari Muskaan to daat kar to dikhaaye."Muskaan gave a big smile and then hugged Mayank and then he said,"Mamma papa aapko is purey dunia mein sabse zyaada pyar karte hai aur hamaare hote huye aapko koi kuch nehi kahega.Chalo abhi aapko school jaane ke liye ready karna shuru karte hai phir papa aapko ye bare se school mein lekar jaayenge."She asked,"Mamma bi daayegi?"He replied,"Mamma bilkul jaayegi aur phir vo aapko lekar bhi aayegi."Muskaan nodded her head.

As promised by both,Nupur and Mayank never disclosed to anyone that Muskaan was indeed their real daughter.They groomed her for admission in school and then took her to a pre school where she got admission.On the first day,Nupur made her ready for school with bag,lunch box and a water bottle around her neck.Jumping like a kangaroo,she went to Shilpa and said,"Daadi aaj main kul da layi hu.Mamma ne kaha ke aaj mele itte chaaye fen (friends) banenge."Shilpa kissed on her cheeks and said,"Ha ha aaj meri gudiya to bohot saare dost banaayegi.Achcha bataao to mamma ne aaj kya kya diya hai tiffin mein?"Muskaan replied,"Mamma ne udal (noodle) diya aul kaha ke pula khaane ko."Shilpa said,"Thik hai to abhi tum jaao,achche se jaana phir achche se waapas aana.Aaj maine jaldi se Muskaan ke liye puja bhi kar li hai."Muskaan was extremely delighted on hearing that and she said,"Puja ho gayi mei dalebi do?"Shilpa started laughing and gave her the sweet and then Nupur and Mayank took her to school.On reaching the school,Muskaan was very excited regarding her first day in the school.One teacher was standing outside and was receiving all the kids.Nupur gave Muskaan's hand to that teacher and said,"Mam iska khayaal rakhna please."The teacher smiled and replied,"Aap bilkul fikar mat kijiye.Vaise beta aapka naam kya hai?"Muskaan replied,"Mu!!"Nupur said,"Maine aapko kya sikhaya tha beta?"Muskaan replied,"Mu...kkan Mayan Chamma!!!"Nupur said,"Its Muskaan Mayank Sharma."The teacher said,"Lovely name."While Muskaan was going inside,she said to Nupur,"Mamma aap na yehi lehna,ghal mat daana."Nupur nodded her head and then Muskaan left inside.While waiting outside,Nupur said,"Kitni ajeeb baat hai na??Zyaadatar bachche pehli baar school jaate waqt bohot rote hai par ye to bilkul bhi nehi royi balki bohot excited thi."Mayank gave a proud smile and replied,"Ha to isme kaunsi bari baat hai,meri beti mujhpar gayi hai aur main bhi bilkul nehi roya tha apne pehle school mein."Nupur returned a mocking smile to him.After the school,both of them found that Muskaan was coming out with a lot of kids surrounded by her.On seeing that,Nupur was very happy and said,"Arey vaah isne to itni jaldi dost bhi bana liye."Mayank proudly said,"Main bhi apne class mein bohot popular tha,ab to is baat par koi shaq hi nehi hai ke Muskaan mujhpar gayi hai."Nupur made faces.Muskaan came running to them and all excitedly said,"Mamma papa dekho na mele kitte chaaye fen bane hai."Mayank picked her up in his arms and said,"Ha humne sab dekha hai,is maamle mein aap to bilkul apne papa jaisi ho.Pata hai papa jab school mein parte the na tab unke bhi bohot saare friends the."Nupur asked,"Muskaan beta pehle aap ye bataao ke aapne pura tiffin khaya?"Muskaan replied,"Mamma chabne ek chaath tipin khaaya ek chaath.Chabko aapki udal itti aththi lagi to chabne kha liya,mudhe diya hi nehi aul kichika tipin aththa nei tha,aapke jitta aul maine baal che paani nei piya."Nupur made a o' face and said,"Ooo!!Mamma ne sabse achcha tiffin banaya tha to sabne khaaya aur Muskaan ko kuch mila hi nehi.Ole mela baba!!"She kissed on Muskaan's cheek and said,"Thik hai chalo mamma aapko ghar jakar pet bharkar khaana khilaayegi.Meri Muskaan kitni achchi hai jo unhone bahaar ka pani nehi piya.Chalo ab batao school mein aur kya kya hua?"They entered inside the car and then Muskaan started telling them whatever happened in the school and Mayank drove back home.

[ 3 MONTHS LATER ]

3 months passed by and Muskaan settled down in her new school.After 3 months,they got vacation and Mayank and Nupur decided that they will go to Nupur's hometown since Muskaan and Nupur's family both didn't see each other and they wanted to meet Muskaan very eagerly.While they were on a flight,Muskaan was so scared that she sat on her mother's lap and hugged her tightly.After reaching there,when three of them came out of the car,Muskaan asked,"Mamma ye aapka ghal hai?"Nupur replied,"Ha ye mera ghar hai aur yaha aapke nanu,nani,mama,mami sab rehte hai."She asked,"Mamma yaha chab aththe hai??Mudhe yaha daatenge to nei budadi,baidadi ke talah?"Mayank replied,"Nehi baby,yaha aapko koi nehi daatega.Yaha to sab aapse milne ke liye bethe hai aur maine to suna hai ke bohot saare chocolates aur toys bhi unhone tayyar rakkha hai aapke liye."Muskaan opened her arms and said to Nupur,"Mamma mudhe goadi mein uthaalo,Mu ko dal lag laha hai."Nupur picked her up in her arms and Mayank rang the door bell.Nupur's mother Namrata opened the door and was so happy and excited to see them that she called everyone to come.Everyone were happy to see them.Nupur's father Shashi Bhushan,brother Uday and sister in law Savita,her sister Gunjan and Nupur's nephew welcomed them inside.Muskaan hugged Nupur tightly on seeing so many unknown people.Namrata said,"Ole to ye hai hamaari Muskaan!!Kitna dekhne ka mann tha mera apni nawaasi ko.Mera bachcha,meri gudiya."Uday forwarded a chocolate and said,"Aao apne mama ke paas,main tumhaare liye chocolate laaya hu."Muskaan gave a weired look to them and replied,"Na mamma ne mana kiya hai aul kaha hai ke chiph (sirf) mamma,papa aul toc uncle che hi toc lena aul kichiche nei."Everyone laughed at the way she talked and Gunjan said,"Arey wow didi!!Ye to ekdam tote ki tarah baat karti hai.Hamaari miththu!!"Gunjan pulled her cheeks and Muskaan angrily replied,"Main mittu nei Mu hu.Mamma aul papa mudhe Mu bulaate hai aul papa kehte hai ke main Pinchech Chamma hu!!"Gunjan begged Nupur,"Please didi isey mujhe goad mein uthaane do na."Muskaan scolded Gunjan,"Na Mu nei daayegi!!"Gunjan took the chocolate from Uday's hand and showed it to Muskaan and asked,"Kya abhi bhi Muskaan nehi aayegi?"Muskaan looked at the chocolate and then Nupur and she in turn asked Muskaan to go and Muskaan immediately jumped into Gunjan's arms and had the chocolate.Eeveryone entered inside and Mayank,Nupur and Muskaan settled themselves.
