A page from the personal diary of Mohit Sehgal
Hello readers. I am Mohit Sehgal whom people know as Samrat from the show Miley Jab Hum Tum.
I hail from Delhi where mom, dad and elder sister reside. I finished my schooling from Mahavir Senior Model School and later, completed my graduation (correspondence) from the Delhi University.
I am a very fun-loving kind of a person and like to spend time with my girlfriend Sanaya. It's been three years of our relationship now. To unwind myself, I like to play basketball and chill around with my friends and Sanaya.
Let me share my professional journey with my fans. My priority is acting and had I not been an actor I would have opened my own restaurant. My mother has been very supportive of me but dad was always against me especially with my intention of getting into television. He wanted me to handle his construction business in Delhi and it took me three years to convince him.
Before entering the television industry, I did my acting course from Barry John Institute of Acting. I have done theaters as well as advertisements. After a lot of hard work and patience, I started my career with the Jimmy Shergil and Neha Dhupia-starrer Delhi Heights having played Vicky in the film.
Having always an urge to play a lead role, I came to Mumbai to try my luck but when I reached the city of dreams, I went totally blank. I didn't even know acting ka 'A' nor did I know to give auditions. But after a lot of hard work, I grabbed the opportunity and essayed the role of Samrat in Miley Jab Hum Tum. I am very glad and fortunate to be the part of the show. Whatever I've learnt is from this show. I still miss all the fun and pranks that we used to play on the sets.
The best moment of my life is when I proposed to Sanaya and also when I managed to convince my dad about my television career. And yes, how can I forget Delhi Heights. I was lucky enough to bag that movie.
Lastly, I would like to thank all my fans for loving me and being so serene. I will be back very soon to entertain you guys and bring a smile on your faces. I hope you will watch my show. Keep loving me.
