It was 10 o clock nupur was sitting in her room, with her mom and massi (gun's mom). They were trying to find the best dress for nupur to wear at the engagement, since nupur was their only daughter her mom had baught like 6 dresses for her engagement. Nups mom: "nupur to saari phenegi yah frok suit". Nupur was lost in her on world that she didn't hear her mom. Finally her mom shaked nupur. Nups mom: "kahan kho gayi nupur main kab se tus se kuch pooch rahi hoon aur tu hai ki jawab hi nahi de rahi". Nups: "sorry mom aap kya pooch rahi hai". Nups mom: "tu in sab main se engagement main kya pehena chahati hai". Nups: "mom aap hi decide karlo aap toh jaanti hai ki main kapre choose karne main acchi nahi hoon". Nups mom smiles she picks out a pink and purple frock suit. Nups mom: "tu yeh pehenigi, mujhe toh vishvash nahi ho rahi ki meri beti itni badi ho gayi hai ki aaj uski sagai hai". Nups mom huggeg her sweet daughter who had obeyed her parents every decision. Nupur hugged her mom back tiny tears rolling down her eyes. Nups thinks to herself. Nups: " I sorry mom meri wajah likin main aapke aur papa ke decision ke khilaf jaa rahi hoon, par mom main Mayank bina nahi jee sakti aur jab aap unse milenge toh khush honge, he is perfect for your daughter". Both mother and daughter separate. Nups mom: (cleaning her daughter tears) "arre abhi kyun roh rahi hai aaj toh sirf sagai hai". Nups: "I love you mom". Nups mom: "I love you too beta".
Piya and suhani were in Nupur's room trying to call Mayank. It was 2:00 Mayank hadn't showed up and he wasn't picking up hi phone. Nups: "pata nahi Mayank ab kahan chala gaya" in a tense voice. Piya: "relax Nupur ho sakta hai ki who koi plan soch raha ho, yah phir nervous ho". Suhani: "haan yaar aur waise bhi maine parahi ki laadke aksar laadkiyo ke parents se dar jaate hain". Nups smiles she knew Mayank would never be sacred if he had to save his love. Finally ten minutes the later the phone rang. Nupur picked it up at the first ring. Nups: "hello Mayank kahan ho tum tumhe pata bhi hai 2 ghante main engagement party shuru hone wali hai, kahan ho tum Mayank". Mayank: "relax sweetheart I am sorry main thora late hogaya but tum pershaan mat ho okay I love you bye". Nups: "Mayank meri baat toh'.". Before nupur could finish Mayank had hung up. Now nupur was really worried there was something about Mayank's voice that made her feel upset, few thoughts passed her mind what if her parents didn't accept Mayank, what she would do then. She tried to push these thoughts away.
Nupur was sitting on her dressing table all dressed wearing her mom's choice suit looking beautiful. Just then Piya rushed into the room, out of breath. Nupur walked up to her, holding her shoulder. Piya: "Mayank kahan hai woh tere saath aya na"Piya looked at nupur's face which was filled with hope. Piya: "Nahi nupur kissi ko nahi pata ki Mayank kahan hai aur who kissi ka phone nahi utha raha". Nupur let go of Piya her whole body became numb. Nups: "nahi piya woh ara hoga dekh suahni usse leke aaygi. Just then suhani entered nupur rushed to suhani and asked her. Nups: "Suhani Mayank kahan hai". Suhani: "nups Mayank nahi aaya koi nahi jaanta ki who kahan hai". The left ray of hope from nupr's face faded tears rolled down her eyes she fell on her knees and started crying. Piya and Suhani sat beside her trying to console her. Gunjan entered the room nupur looked up she ran and hugged Gun. Nups: " di please kuch karo main yeh sagai mayank do please". Gun was more upset she could do nothing to console her crying sister, their only hope was Mayank and no one knew where he was. Gun: "nups tumhari mom neeche bhula rahi hai laadke waale aagaye hain". Nupur separated from Gun she wiped her tears. Nups: "chalo di".
Gunjan, Piya, Suhani and Nup walked down to the party. Everyone greeted them with smiles, and comments on how pretty all of them looked. Nupur tried her best to control her tears. All four of them walked towards Nups family and her Rahul's family. Mr. B: "wow nupur beta you look stunning". Nupur smiled fadely. Nups: "I think hume engagement shuru kar deni chahiye. Nupur felt tears threatening to roll down her eyes. Her heartbeat increased, she was loosing herself.
She saw as her massi came walking towards them with engagement ring. Nupurs tears rolled down her eyes. Nups: (in mind) "Mayank tum kahan ho please mujhe aaker le jayo Mayank pls ajao". Nupur kept her eyes at the door hoping Mayank would come.
