A Follow-up to Mohit as Devdas Thread - Page 11

finally read all the posts.....i took me more time to read these 13 pages than some topics with 45 pages (those were jus spam posts though)

aftr going through all these pages, i've got to know abt some topics which i have missed earlier....i was totally inactive during roshni se n zindagi do pal ki days...

i've read mads reply in divya'a topic @ roshni se, which is almost same as mine, so wont repeat all that again...n also i dont remember that very well, bcoz i like the scene but i'm not very fond of it, unlike zindagi do pal ki...i love that one, by this i dont mean that i'm justified with the concept of pre-marital sex...it's a different case

cmng to PBM, it wasn't jus abt the kiss....it's abt the way it was shot n situation they were in....a kiss would have been, but the scene looked in such a way that nxt day, a member frm creative team has to come to the forum n clarify that it was jus a kiss....i did rant alot in anu's topic during those days, bcoz at that time, this forum was not the same as it is now, atleast not for me, ...anyway back to PBM....there first n foremost, aftr watchign the scene, I'll criticize MN b4 anyone ....bcoz if i like a scene of theirs, i'll appreciate them first n later comes the creatives, actors etc etc....so ppl consider us (inc both M n SG fans, at the time of criticizing) as bashers....this is an example too, along with clarification @hypocrisy, which i think is not yet cleared


cmng to situation in the forum....there was a time, when i used to appreciate n criticize both according to the scenes ... (i do criticize SG, more in mansion bcoz making topics interests me the least), but today forget abt criticizing, even appreciating an actor or any comment on a thread relating to an actor or couple whom we are not fans of is nightmare...if we appreciate, ppl think comment @ us as double standards as they think, our comment was jus our try to come in their good books n we go back to some CCs n say xctlt opposite to what we have said in the that thread....if we criticize then the comments are like "mind ur own bussiness by commenting on ur fav couple" as if it's not a open forum.......n this happens frm both the grps of fans....may b more frm one side n less frm the other, but they do come

it has been ages we have discussed MJHT here...it's always abt SG or MN.....n restricting ourselves to one couple's thread, i dont say that it's wrong, but this is the way the gap has increased....n i'm no less in this....i was one of the few ppl who used to comment almost all threads, but now i dont do that anymore.....that's the result of the atmosphere prevailing in the forum

n i want to add this....this forum always had fights @ Mn vs SG frm the very first of week of MJHT....mohit used to get a lot of criticism as he was VERY raw in acting in those days....but those fights were never like the ones of these days....if we disagree on one topic, we may agree on the other....but now, it's like, she's the other couple's fan...we should not agree with her.....situations have really grown worse....n i really appreciate the mods of this forum bcoz as they are handling a forum like this frm almost 2 yrs

i dont know, if i made any sense or not....i hope i did....it is WE who are responsible for everything...why i am saying this?? i have a reason for this too.....many instances....one such is a random fan of one couple,a newbie or MID, started PMing the active fans of the other couple bashing them for being a fan of that couple (inc mods by caling them biased )n posting in the AT of the other couple all stupid stuff.....n acting like an innocent gal in the AT of her fav couple.....n started creating fyts.....it was den when fans of both the couples fought against such incidents....n this happened all bcoz that person thought that we lacked unity, but was an utter flop, that got resolved as we talked openly n clarified everything, instead of any sort of back biting....luckily, CC fm MJHT forum were not so active these days.....

very few ppl in this forum, who are active now, are aware of this incident....i didn't want to mention which couple are fav/non-fav....we'll jus let that be

i loved youre topic......i think those people who truly appriciate others arent bashed...
ive never bashed-i dont belive in doing it.....
im a die hard arjun and a mayur fan BUT that doesnt mean i dont appriciate Sajan,Mohit and Sanaya too....i think each actor has thier own way of potraying a paticular scene...the devdas scene as you said...i feel was brilliantly potraied by both the actors-but in a diffrent way the situation of performance being diffrent....
Samrats act was on the more romantic side-a bit frothy...
while Mayanks had anguish and was tragic....comparing them is stupidity!!!Both of them Exceled in thier own way....Samrat aolso made me we4ep like a baby during Gunjans comma scsnes!
as far as the bashing thing is concerned...people here-many actually are exteamists rather than ratinalists and the best way to combat such people is ignore them....going and fighting tooth and nail with them doesnt help it only makes matters worse...
this is an open forum-but that doesnt mean you get the opportunity to bash too!!!
i miss those days when the forum was peaceful happy place...

Ok,just bcoz im a SG fan i wont say SG fan dont argue,dey dont fight.But yes i'd say dey r not d 1st one who create fights in a topic.
By saying dis im also not saying its MN fan who create fights.But yes,to be honest der r some ppl u'll find dem start d fight in a topic,which is usually der not-so-favourite topics but yet dey come n mock @ dat topic n meanwhile d fight start.n unfortunetly dey belong to MN fan group.(If any DT member or any member has any problem wid my dis statement feel free to ask me d reason,i'd probably end up giving u a full list of d names who do this,widout even wasting a moment,coz it's really not hard to say those name as most of d time d members r d same.)

Abt actors acting : Yes dats been a huge isssue wid dis forum member,N i wont give any deplomatic ans on dis thing..as its simple ,ppl outa here think..Mohit as an actor Gud 4nothing n Arjun is god of acting.Oh well !! Der r many rules which r only applicable only on a group,n dis rule r made by fan group only.

Name-calling is like a new mantra 4 bashers. Saying TRP is not too high when ur fav is not a part of d show its fun but when ur fav is part of d show n TRP is not high..Its ok.not a big deal.If anytime TRP goes high during Ur fav.couple scene its bcoz of der fav,n d reason dey give is -dey have d bigger fan following unlike d other couple! Oh common-If a interesting track come up,a interesting scene going on PPL would like to watch dat thing so TRP should go high.But if u like to say this den again what is d need of bringing d other couple in b2in !

As per as d moderators behaviours thing concerned-I would say,In past when i use to be active on dis forum,i've goten evey help dat i needed,Gagan di- did every possible thing do make dis forum a better place to discuss..DB also been every helpful..Preeti di who were more of a friend wid whom we used to discuss topics..

but yet i do have some issue wid mods regarding rules,I saw many topic where a certain group of ppl bash a couple like anything,dey make dat sweet,plesant topic a hell,n enjoy der own comments n mocking but end of d day y guyz just give dem a word of warnning nothing else ..I saw many threads as such in recent time n honestly dat made me think same as d TM..Everytime u say its a last warnning next time u'll take action but i never seen u taking any actions againts dis members.Be its just a member or a member who is a part of DT.

PS-Mods if u think im saying bad thingsn my above statements is NO true ,or I bashed any 1 in dis post,feel free to ban me or raise my warnning level but i guess i've to say thing today.

Piya, don't worry about making a long post. I love reading. And obviously I don't need to say that reading the responses you guys make helps me learn more about the context of this forum. At least then I won't be told, "Shut it Sonya. You're just a new member who knows nothing about the forum."

AND girl, who says I've the guts? Look at you! I only talked about the possibility of getting banned, and you're like go ahead ban me if you like. You're an inspiration for people like me! I bet we'll both get banned some time soon...

I can quote endless instances where I have found the same Arjun Bijlani blank and uninterested in the scene. There have been endless posts where Nupur, the character was heavily criticised for the way the character was acting in a certain track.

This is something I have not seen from the SG fans to be honest. What ever their favs- characters and actors do is perfect. Well, If I stand up to criticise the serious lack of acting in scenes that required it from Mohit or Sanaya, I'm bashed because I happen to be an MN fan.

So, we chose to stay away from criticising Mohit when he gives unforgiveable expressions or simply does not exhibit any expression. I think an actor grows with criticism and if nobody gives you proper feedback you can never grow. I had always thought that Mohit had a lot of scope for improvement and he stayed raw in many ways simply because all the blind fawning that has happened. Its unfortunate for Mohit the actor.

About the mods, if you feel they are biased against you and I feel they are biased against me, then the only conclusion to draw is that they are not biased. Easier said than done, moderating is a tough job and yes pointing fingers is very easy .

Last but not the least, your direct message to Annie, about walking on the streets and not spitting (and other blaah) ..well, there is a way to express your opinion without being RUDE to others. That I feel can be derived from the same example you quoted . No?

Well no, you're not indebted to me. In fact, I'd be indebted to you if you take my perspective seriously rather than "Oh there goes another Samrat-Gunjan fan blabbering." And about the tag, thanks to you all, I was given the "SG tag" regardless of whether I asked for it or not.

Thank you for englightening me with the history of this forum. But I suppose the critcisms you talk about should have been discussed in Nupur-Mayank zone by their respective fans, because apparently it's a taboo if someone from the other zone takes part in such discussions. I can't say much about other "SG fans," but didn't you read me saying Mohit was incomparable to Arjun in the beginning of the show? Could there be a greater criticism of Mohit? And when I dared say that just in this one single scene Mohit did a better job, you saw the response to that.
Okay, as long as I'm not banned, open as many threads as you like to criticize anything wrong you see in Mohit or Sanaya, and I'll be at least one active participant. And from the kind of responses I have received on this thread, I can be sure it won't be just me.

You say "An actor grows with criticism," and I couldn't agree more to that. It's not just for actors, it's for anyone who wishes to improve. And I need not tell you that compare and contrast is one of the most productive ways of criticism, which is unfortunately forbidden on this forum and I understand that you're happy about that since you find the mundane topics way more interesting. Anyway he said people say politics is dirty so stay away, but I say if you know it's dirty then go there and take the initiative to clean it up. Would you remain indifferent if there was puddle loaded with all kinds of infectious insects in front of your house? That was an eye-opener, because I was the kind of person who'd say don't talk to me about politics!

And that's why I suggested you don't stop posting here. People will never stop bashing, abusing ,cursing. But just for a few people, I don't think it's good to stop yourself from putting forth your views.
And there are hardly any sensible topics these days, so I have my selfish reasons for stopping you from becoming inactive too. 😆
