Dia was redced to the sister consoling her cousins, samrat, and shouting at her dodo as usual......and benji?? lolz forget dia, he has uday, and together the make a brilliant jokers for the serial!! mayank's mum...she brought once in a blue moon again for giving love advices to mayank....earlier they explored the son-mother relationship beautifully, tats y we became a fan of them...no doubt personally i liked how mayank left the world to e with his mum at the time she needed him the mst....but they still didn't explore many aspects to their relationship....we still don't know abt mayank's dad!! they cud have shown how strong both mum and son are abt the father issue (whether his death or even divorce), samrat and gunjan well they are leads....mayank and nupur: wat are they of tis show😕 😕 😕.....guess old is not gold for the CVs
As story progresses various characters are introduced in every show to bring freshness and needed twists and turns so the interest of the audience can be maintained. Happened in MJHT too. But, lets see if the makers achieved what they intended to by introducing new characters.
First new face was Sheena. Guess the less I say the better. I'm sure SG fans still cringe on her name.well i guess she served the perpose of making samrat realise his love for gunjan 😊
Next new face was Ranvijay. Interesting character but the makers couldn't hold on to it. Stretched the plot so much so that his character lost everything that it could possibly offer.initially i thot he was a baddie with a soul....but oops he was made to stooped to extreme levels of cheapnes...and i wonder y i hoped dia-rv wud be the next big thing (umm they were the next big thing but again all ruined!!). but again i turned out to b tat he was brought into bring a twist to SG story and not creating a dia-rv story as we expected initially.
Latest additions are Adhiraj and Suhani. Hmmm where do I start. Ok Let's start from Screenspace. The show had two couples as main leads. (hun??😲 😲...ok sorry!! cont...)Both have a huge fan base. Other characters like Diya, Uday, Benji, who have been associated with these two couples since the beginning are equally loved too.(u forgot CJ 😭 😭...anyways uska rehna na rahna ek hi baat hai) So, all those characters which are loved and adored by the audience are sidelined and these two are introduced who are relatively new in the industry themselves and are not polished actors. Sorry no offense to anyone but that's what I feel. They are surprisingly or I should say shockingly given the majority of screen space. reducing all the characters, main leads or extras to mere props.ok coming to AS...ok when sheena and Rv were introduced...there purpose were told in arious articles of tat being opp sam and dia respectively....while one served the purpose wat ending the other had we all know!! 😊 but when thse two were introduced they were labelled as "protagonists"....woa!! the intention was clear to push MN more to the wall! i still will stick to the fact tat suhani was brought in for the samrat family track.....but wat abt dear adiraj?? oh rite, MN are happy couple so y bother them....let the dude be opposite suhani oops nupur2!! wow now there can be another nupur too!! i have no idea y he was brought...can't be for MN...CVshardly make efforts for MN...its clear they are the 3rd leads....oops!! 2nd leads cause MN are no more the leads...cause one of them is sent away....and nupur is used to "spearhead" the story of AS!!is tat the only thing left for her to do in the show????
I need to understand the reason behind this as this has now started bothering me and guess lot of others here.
Going back to the basic idea of why new faces are introduced, analyzing why were these characters introduced in MJHT and if they did what they were supposed to do.......
1. It is done to bring freshness to the show
My verdict - It didn't. None of the characters that were brought in till now had the charm or came with a solid storyline to support that could add anything to the show. Infact if I think of it the show at that point didn't really need freshness or a change as the already existing storyline was at it's peak be it SG's or MN's.i agree completely!! wat freshness?? it simply dragged the so called "tracks"....no contribution to the storylines (talking abt MN)...absolutely nothing!!
2. It is done to bring new twists and turns in the storyline.
My verdict - It didn't. Infact the twists and turns any of these new characters bought ruined the beauty and magic of the show. It took away the simplicity of the show and made it more like a saas bahu saga.again i agree...there were numerous twist and turns which boggled our mind!! but again for wat??? they just helped the serial stay on air for a longer "tym"..... nothing else!!
3. It helps the already existing storylines to move forward.
My verdict - It didn't. None of these characters helped either of the stories to move forward be it MN's or SG's. They were infact introduced as roadblocks forgetting that this is a college based show and it doesn't need unnecessary, unrealistic, OTT and overstretched complications. As college life is full of fun and adventure not manipulations and plotting to take each other's life.not to MN atleast!! rv - sheena were never for MN!! while adiraj was touted to be an entry for MN in turned out to otherwise.....it was told it wud make their relaioship strong...yep! its strong, but still others help is required to sort out their differences...k all together a different issue lets not go there!! the main stuff is tat these "fresh" faces (am talking abt AS) were brought in to create and have a story of their own rather thank contributing to the sotryline of the others!!
4. To increase TRP - Hmmmm need I say anything about this??? guess not. This show has seen it's lowest TRP's during Sheena - Ranvijay and now Adhani tracks.lolz it incresed when sheenawas shon the door! he he watever!however, personally,the only new entry i liked was miss tamanna, hers was a cameo and served all the above purposes according to me....also i never used to get bored in her presense...she was a sensible and strong character according to me!
So my question to CV's is .......WHY????
We are not against bringing in new faces. We are also not against your experimenting with the storyline. But is it so hard to understand what your viewers want to see when they are shouting at the top of their voice through every possible means so u can hear, that these new faces or so called experiments are not working. Is it so hard to just take a U- turn when you know that you are on a wrong path. Is it so hard to give the old characters their fair share of time, importance and respect that they truly deserve. Characters because of whom we all started watching your show at the first place and are still hanging on. Is it so hard to let your actors act like college students, which they are and not adults with huge problems all the time. Is it so hard to bring back all the wonderful characters you introduced in the beginning. Is it so hard to just for once try and understand what fans like us expect to see and give that to them. Is it so hard to just give all of us a reason to say this once again - "We love Miley jab Hum Tum"exactly!! its ur job and duty to know wat ur viewers want to see!! and u know tat!! the only purpose i see u introducing "unwanted" (atleast by the majority) characters is to do away with the present one!! you know MN have a huge fan following but u seperate them, cause u know the curiosity of the hopeless fans who die to see even a min of them!!y can't u work on making the relationship of the MN a bit more strong (i mean try a track other than, they fite and then they meet, and bingo! they have understanding....u don't have to have a huge tiff to make the bond strong!! ok i agree one tiff is enough to make the relationship strong...but making them fite all the tym just make the ppl in general say tat these guys have no bond and need others to sort out their issues!)....ifu need freshness...look behind!! u have benji,dia to make the the potential 3rd leads if u want to....make uday a bit sensible (like he was during dia's tohtyms with rv)...bring in a new girl for him!! pls cherish ur current bank of characters than searching for new ones outside!...from tis even the new entrants arnot winning fans...u can get them together in a new show altogether!! and the characters seriously are not college goers...tell me when did i see them last tym studying..i don't remember!! all they worry abt is marriage and not their mid-terms!! they are here to make a careers aren't they or is college a haven for the love birds to meet....yeah u meet ur soulmates maybe when ur in college...but tell me its not a 24*7 thing tat u do! all the college elements were there initially, now they are lost, y were the compromised for the sake of 2 or rather 3 lovestories??
Sorry for such a long post. But couldn't help it after seeing the show I once loved dying a merciless death. I would love to read all of your thoughts and comments too but please comment only if you for some time at least can think as a MJHTian. I don't want this topic to turn into any so and so Vs so and so fight. It's about the show not about any jodi or character.
