i agree with sonia, nupur's character can b shown with much depth n yet her vivacious nature can b maintaned
like she can deal with some things in her own bubbly way unlike mayank, who deals things in his style

i'm in lack of words 2 express things atm due 2 some distraction
kindly bear with me

you know, in yesterday's episode, i really liked the way nupur was rude to samrat...that's how nupur is....carefree yet really protective

Okay, I've one criticism.... In the official write-up of the story on indya.com, this was written:

For Nupur it is a journey that imposes a reality check on the way she views life. A shattering of the bubbly and vivacious faade that aims to keep every one happy... for Nupur it is meeting Mayank, which truly is the fusion of fire and ice... of the need for balance in one's life. For nupur it is about learning to love the man she abhors.

My question is that what happened to this? I really expected some kind of 'reality check' track to be carried out for Nupur because that girl is too naive, and has some dramatic ideas of love which aren't really realistic. And I expected no-one but Mayank to guide her. This is the reason why the beach-scene where Mayank takes Nupur to the beach after Nupur gets sad is one of my FAVORITE scenes in the show because it showed that at the most basic & prime level, Mayank connects to Nupur in a way that no other person or guy can, I also love this scene because it also shows another more vulnerable side to Nupur. It shows a sad Nupur. And I like that, because it makes Nupur a more real and complex character for me atleast. Even the most optimistic of people experience setbacks and agonize.

So my request is please give us a proper track for Nupur where you guys show her maturing up a little bit. She can still be the same chulbuli, vivacious Nupur, but just give some depth and growth to her character. Besides we have not had a Nupur-centric track in this show for agessss. By Nupur-centric, I mean basically exploration of Nupur as a character as how the creatives explored both Gunjan and Mayank. So I would really like that. I hope this request is taken into consideration.

Well Said Sonia 👏 👏 I totally agree with you on this- Nupur's character was never shown to have depth and dignity which remains by biggest gross with MJHT, TILL DATE. Either she is projected as a classless OTT bimbo with no individuality who does nothing but gape n gawk at her boy friend's "heroism" or a dimwit who finds the most ridiculous reasons to fight with Mayank or a shrew who treats him like a Puppy asking him to fetch lockets from Pool etc. The ONLY time I saw some effort going into the exploration of Nupur's character was during the exam track when she challenges Mayank n during the Diwali n TP tracks when we get a taste of her intelligence but after that I never saw any growth in Nupur

@blue: Bingo! I also loved the beach for that reason, in fact even the Hug in the jungle showed the vulnerable side of Nupur. I gave up on waiting and hoping that we would be shown some sensible n poignant explanation for Nupur's vulnerable momentary outburst in that scene, which also affected Mayank, its of no use thinking that Mayank would EVER question Nupur about what elicited such a serious reaction from her or tell her how her reaction (which he did not expect) had affected him in that moment, more so because she tried hard to hide her emotions immediately after that. I thought that one moment would be plaguing Mayank's mind like its plaguing ours, I thought MN would be shown having a conversation about the Barn scene too , I wanted to see Nupur's reaction to it but then we have to understand that card board cut out dates. heart shaped lockets
n marriage discussions are more important than all these. Who cares if Nupur's shown to be an aimless airhead whose only purpose in life is to marry Mayank , wait for him to come home from office , cook for her (because we were shown that she can't even cook), take her to movies n put up wth her tantrums while all she does is read Mayaparis , gossip with his mom, go shopping ,drool over random Bollywood heroes or be besotted or dazzled by Mayank, no?

Thanks for the Critics corner, Gagan.

My first issue, is college just about romance?? Call me wierd if you will, but I'm not too much into mush. Ever since I've returned to watch the show full time, I've rarely seen them study. Classroom was shown just once and that too, to discuss 'Love'. There are other issues related to college students. Career, peer pressure, drugs, parental pressure, etc. Agreed, romance sells. But what about the other issues?

Gagan Thankyou for opening this thread!
Well i have a lot to say regarding SG.
First of all, will SG remain best friends the rest of their lifes????
Coz if they are, plz say so that i can stop hoping they will confess.
There track had gone no where, apart from the fact they are noth in love
they have gone back to square one, friends....
Gunjan's character had been raised as an issue quite alot, so i wont repeat anything, unless needed.
What happened to the "college" atmosphere of Excel???
Thye either party there or cry, seriously ive never see taht happen in a college before.
ofcourse they can party, but they should have supervisation right???
They are all college students, yet i still havnt figured out what they are studying exactly???
Some day history, Hindi, physics.... what are they studying??
And can we plz have them back in lessons sctually learning something?
there are alot of issues that occur in college that can be portrayed in MJHT since many poeple in todays youth watch this show, but plz can it be portrayed with care and handled well if they are going to be shown.
Last but not least MJHT is lacking realism according to me, everything has been altered to fit into the "love" tracks. The realism had gone, and everything is lovey dovey, heart break.
If someone is in love, it shouldnt effect the college life really, can we see love being handled while keeping college in mind?
One last thing, where have the parents in MJHT gone????
Gunur's baoji has disapeared, neither do they call nor write, dont they miss him??
Dia-Udays father has also gone.
Samrat's parents are anonymus
Only Mayank's mum is shown.
But then again, she's only shown giving tips to mayank.
Can we see the parents back and taking interest in their child's education???
Coz my parents do, im sure many others also.
Thanks
Naima 😃
PS - i dont think i have offended neone here, since my post is neither bashing nor abusing.

Constructive criticism is what we are trying here. I sincerely request you to go back and watch the old episodes. Then you will understand what the forum members are concerned about. It is just a show for us. But for you I am sure it is your pride and satisfaction of job well done. I think show makers are cheating themselves of that well deserved happiness. Well, coming to the point. Please make the character dialouges realistic and understood by the everyone, not just the 'smart people'. Please don't reuse the same sentences. Don't deviate from your character sketch. Give depth and sensibility to the characters. Comedy doesn't equal to random dialouges and clownacts.
You have done a good job with Dia yet completely ruined Mayank and Nupur. You wandered off somuch these are new characters all together that your viewers despise. I am yet to see a characters like Samrat & Gunjan (current) even in the fictional world.
And last but not least, Please keep the relationships alive. There is more to life than just love. And please just because people are in love they don't talk to themselves nor they talk idiotically. Love brings maturity and stability. Please show that.

@naima - 👏 👏
good questions yaar...
wat i want 2 say is these r the questions of mst of MJHTians n plzz dont ignore them

we hardly find any clg atmosphere ( dont tell me abt those cls rooms, loo n locker room.....i'm talking abt clses, projects...etc type of academic activities) in this clg romantic based youth show

@anu - very well said
if they watch the old epi's, they'll understand y we r venting out with frustration (infact we r doing it in very controlled manner)
