I am not usually a very active member on this forum and this is my first post. I am going to be taking a stand on an issue that is really starting to bother me and I just feel the need to share my views with you guys. I am apologizing in advance if this post hurts anyone's sentiments!
I started watching MJHT for the same reasons as anyone else. The cast looked good...and it piqued my interest. Ever since I started, I do not regret my decision. I enjoy the show, the characters and the story in general which is a refreshing break from everything else on TV. Then I discovered this forum and was even happy to find so many people who feel so strongly about this show. I was happy, I enjoyed reading everyons posts, iew poins, comments, VMs, fanfics, one shots, reactions to new promos...it was all so much fun to be a part of...even if I was silent all through it.
I was extremely happy when the scoops from PD started. I could not believe that someone from the show, an actual creative was taking the time out to interact with us fans. How many other shows have that? Not only that, she was willing to take our suggestions and ideas and incorporate it into the show. Imagine my surprise when things that were discussed on the forum actually started happening on the show! Mayank's ugly shirts were gone, RV's over dressing was done away with, Mayank and Samrat's conversations became better...all little things but important none the less.
So my question is...Why are the creatives being crticized on this forum? After they have done so much for is, why is it that we mjht fans as a whole are insulting their vision? I admit that there are a lot of things that could be better and a lot of suggestions and ideas that haven't been incorporated but, does it always have to be about what we want? I am sure that there is a budget, there are limitations as to what the channel does and does not allow and more importantly there are time and space constraints. Not everything is possible all the time.
More importantly, this show was conceived by the creatives. It is their baby. It was their vision and ideas that bought it to us in the first place. I am sure that this being their show, they have specific ideas and visions as to what they want the show to be like. Sure, it is different from what we want but at the end of the day is it not their right to take a show forward the way they want to? I understand that we as an audience should have a say, after all they are catering to us but everyone has to realize that it is not humanly possible to make hundreds of people happy at the same time!
I have read posts where the creatives are being insulted for weak story lines or bad characterization and I find that extremely appalling. What gives anyone else the right to insult someone else's vision or intelligence or decision making process? Imagine yourself in the place of the creatives and think how you would feel if someone crticized you to that extent? If something that you did for a living and worked hard for was criticized...how would you feel? If you dislike the show that much then maybe you should stop watching it but crtiticizing it...is not done.
I am not saying that people should not express their opinions. This is an open forum and everyone has a right to say what they want to but I think that the language and words used could be better.
I felt compelled to make this post after reading PD's scoops for the day...she does not feel that this is a fun place to be anymore. She feels that it has become an us vs them war zone...and I think I agree with her. I am dissapointed that members of this forum have managed to make someone who has given us so much feel this way. If PD wanted, she could stop visiting this forum and stop interacting with us but she still does....despite all the negativeness and I really love her for that. I think we owe it to her to make this forum the place it once used to be...full of positive vibes and great energy. Don't you guys agree?
I know this post got boring a long time ago since its so long....but I guess being silent for so long does have its side effects ;)

hmmmm correct me if i am wrong but is this forum meant to praise the show only or can v discuss our TRUE feelings here ?????
c i will every show has it good days and it bad days ... i dont c the harm in calling BAD .... well BAD .. mayb i can sugar coat it and say its NOT SO GOOD .... but y should i say its good wen its not !!!!!
i knw everyone here gets really excited when they find out that one of the creatives from the show visit the forum ..... well i have a feeling creatives from other shows also visit India forums but yes am grateful to the fact that Pd takes time from her busy schedule and shares all these scoops with us ..... i really appreciate her for making this effort for us ..... BUT BUT BUT does dis mean that v should continue to blindly pretend to LIKE /LOVE the show even if v rnt really happy with it .... whats the purpose of having the creatives take our feedback when v arent being honest with her ........ Us telling her what v dont like in thw show will actually help them better the show ... dont tell me the creatives r 5 yr olds who would feel upset if v dont praise them all the time !!!!
yes offcourse sometimes the language used is quite harsh but the mdos r donig a very good job in moderating and guiding the members ... personaly i dont make it my business to comment on other's language and inference and blah blah blah ..... live and let live is my motto
i agree at times things get out of hand ..f ights break out or v get into heated arguements.... u knw y .. coz v all ARE/ WERE passionate fans ... v all take time from our busy schedule to come online and make sure our suggestion is read by pd or that v post our feedback .... now if Pd is making an eftra effort i think v also ARE making an extra effort for the show ..... communication is a 2 way street ... both the parties benefit from it !!!!
and frankly if Pd feels dis forum is a war place am sorry i dont think the members r to b solely blamed for it .....u want me to dug out posts where she has admitted that they HAD deviated from the TRACK ..... once the show improves believe me all these fights and agruements will also end ( offcourse some petty minds will still keep fighting coz dey have nntg better to do )
and honestly if we OWE it to her to improve the ambience o this forum .. then i feel the creatives OWE it to us to improve the show
