[From Nupur's POV]

It still feels like a dream to me, well a very very beautiful unbelievable dream. Everything was Perfect. Just Amazingly Perfect. Mayank had confessed his love for me on stage at the end of our play which was one week ago. I still couldnt believe that fact but it was True. I really felt very Awkward with him that night. Everyone decided to go on a Party that night so we all went out.

The Best part was Him looking at me. He was looking at me as if i was the 8th wonder of the world. When i asked him that he laughed and then added softly ''yes you are a wonder....the best thing that happened to me is you Nupur...".😳.

Its still hard to believe that 10 months ago, i hated this guy so much. I had seen all his sides: Angry, Compassionate, Confused, Arrogant, Concerned, Irritated, Caring, Possesive, Protective, Passionate & most of all Loving. I knew him inside out & i still loved him. I know he can be so Arrogant at times, but it just added to his charm. Besides he can never win any arguement against me :P

Its so Beautiful to fall in Love.. Really... Even better than what i watched in Movies. Now i realise that watching Love is nothing compared to being in love. I cherished each moment shared with him. I loved to see him waiting outside my house with a taxi. He never objected to Gunjan accompanying us. He even cared so much about my sister. Each moment when he cared for me. And when i started to feel awkward, he switched to the Arrogant Mayank mode i.e fighting with me..and it would always end up with both of us fighting and laughing & me forgetting all my awkwardness:D But i even loved that. And also When he was always ready for my help. When he supported me, even if i did something Silly or Wrong.

Then the phone rang taking me out of my thoughts. I knew it was Mayank. He always called to wish me Good Night since one week. But today he had another reason. It was my Birthday. So he had called at 12am to wish me. I picked up the phone.

Mayank: Hello?
I: Hiii...
Mayank: Happy Birthday Nupur!!
I: Thank you Mayank!!!
Mayank: So Maine tumhe sabse pehle wish kiya naa?
I: Haan.. Gunjan so gayi thi..So tum pehle ho!
Mayank: Dekha...I told you so! Kal hi kaha tha maine tumhe ki....
I: Haan baba! Tum sahi main galat!! BY GOD Mayank kitna argue karte ho...Aaj to din-bhar yahi keh rahe the...

Hmmm I thought about that. I actually wanted a Romantic Date but it wasnt possible as we had our exams just 10 days afterr & Mr.Mayank must be busy studying..

I: Tum Sochna... Main jo chahti thi vo to mujhe mil nahi sakta!!
Mayank: Kyun?

It may be or may not be but i felt that Mayank was teasing me? As if he knew what i wanted?

I: Arrey kuch nahi naa.. tum bolo kya doge mujhe?
Mayank: Hmm... Pata nahi.. Par haan tumhe yaad hai naa, kal hamari Study Date hai..

I grumbled.. Of course!! He wouldnt forget that! Our first date & that too with studies?? Uhh! So Extremely Unromantic.. Well, Nupur.. Ab Pyaar kiya hai to nibhana to padega...

I: Haan..Of course yaad hai naa...
Mayank: Nupur.. Stop grumbling about that.. 1 hafte mein exams hai naa... aur we need to catch up!
I: Haan theek hai naa!! ab rakho..
Mayank: Good Night...Bye...and i love you! - he added softly..
I blushed: Good Night...luv u 2...

It was always like that. We fought & fought & fought. But we never forgot how much the other one meant to us!

I always loved my birthday as i got loads of attention! And i loved it. Everyone wished me the next day in college. Mayank was beside me throughout. He told me that his gift was- his whole attention on me. Awww i loved him for that.
In College only CJ, Samrat & Gunjan knew that we were together.!
We were never exactly open abt our relationship. We both liked it that way. We were certainly not comfortable with public displays of affection. At times we held each others hand but nothing more. We both had our limits. And i loved Mayank more each day because he always respected my limits.
Though there were times when he gave me looks that made me blush! And i truly hated him for that.😳😆

I was getting ready for my First Study Date. Yeh Right! Birthday & First Date sound good. But Birthday & Study Date dont. And above all He told me to wear any White Suit, saying "You look exceptionally beautiful in white". Okay fine. But why on a study date? Well, leave that. I kept my hair open just because i knew he liked it that way though he never told me. According to him, he loves me as I am, not because of any changes i make.
I wore my favourite white suit. Gunjan gave me a hug & told me that Mayank would be smitten on seeing me. Who cares? He must be lost in THOSE books. Huh!

I reached his home & knocked on the door. It was Open. I entered & i was shocked to see everything dark. I was actually scared😲. What had happened? Was Mayank Okay?

I spoke "Mayank..."
No response...

I looked around. I could see actually Nothing except Black!!

"Mayank....t...tum kahan ho??"

"Senorita, Bade Bade shehro mein aisi choti choti baatein hoti rehti hai"...

I turned towards the voice.. It was Shahrukh Khan's voice? How? There was a little light coming from a direction & i turned towards it. I was surprised to see DDLJ coming on it. What was going on? The movie was playing & no one was here?

I suddenly felt a warm hand on my waist.😳 I was going to shout, but someone kept his hand on my mouth from the back.
He whispered in my ears: I Love You...
I relaxed on recognizing the touch & voice. It was Him.

In Happiness, i didnt realise that my bag in which i had the books fell down on my leg. That DID Hurt...

"OWWWW!!"...and i sat down...
Mayank rushed towards me. He held my leg & slowly rubbed it. He looked so tensed. I could feel tears coming to my eyes.

Mayank: Tum bhi naa... Had karti ho.. Jab dekho girti padti rehti ho...

He said this without even looking at me. He was concentraing on removing the pain from my leg. I smiled. I couldnt control myself & i hugged him. He was surprised at first but then hugged me back. Tears trickled down my eyes.

I whispered in my muffled voice: "Tum hote ho naa mujhe sambhalne ke liye..."

I couldnt believe. My Padhaku Sadu Mayank, did all this for me. Said a lie about a study date. Got a DVD for my fav movie DDLJ. Cooked Dinner. Awww... I dont know if it was possible but i loved him even more today..

As soon as he realised i was crying he pulled out of the hug. He wiped my tears and looked into my eyes. I knew what he could see. Immeasursable love for him. Just as i could see that in his eyes.

Mayank: Tum ro kyun rahi ho?
Me: Mann kar raha hai... Idiot!... I love you!- and hugged him again.

He must have understood that why i was crying, bcz he didnt ask me that again. He helped me stand up.

Mayank: Chal sakti ho naa? Nahi to... Im always ready to help..- he said mischeviously.
I blushed. He was actually reminding me of the day when he picked me up the last time i got hurt.

Me: Nahi...Thank you very much! Mera pair (leg) theek hai!
Mayank: Maine kya kiya? Main to bas tumhe options de raha tha..
Me: Shut up!

We walked towards the table & sat down.

I asked: So... Ye tumhara plan tha?
Mayank: Hmm Haan... Par...
I: Kya par?
Mayank hesitating: Vo Gunjan ne thodi si help ki thi!
I giggled: To use pata tha? Offo! Aur dont worry.. Mujhe pata hai, idea tumhara hi hoga..

Mayank: Chalo.. Bhukh lagi hai?
I thought of teasing him: Hmmm Haan... Par hamrari STUDY date ka kya hua Mayankkk?
Mayank: Study postponed.. Aaj sirf Date.
I smiled.

We ate a ravishing dinner with me complimenting him over his cookery skills.

Mayank: Chalo...
Me: Kahan? Ab kya?
Mayank: Bhul gayi? DDLJ nahi dekhna?

WHAT?? He would watch with me??

Me: KYA? Tum bhi dekhoge?
Mayank: Kyun? Main movies nahi dekh sakta?
Me: Nahi nahi...par Mujhe to laga tha ki tum bachpan mein hi budhe ho gaye the! to phir movies?
Mayank: Hmm.. Tumhe pasand hai naa? (I nodded) To phir mujhe bhi hai...(I smiled).. Ab chalo..

We sat down with Ice cream on the sofa & watched the movie. I was totally into it but i sensed that Mayank wasnt much interested in it & was watching it for my sake. I think Mayank felt a little left out as he suddenly kept his head on my lap. I smiled & resumed watching the movie. He played with my hair.

Me: Mayank... Mere baal chodo nahi to main tumhare baal choungi.
Mayank: To choo lo naa..

What he said diverted my attention from the movie..

Me: Kya? Really? Aur vo "Please Baalon ko mat chuo" kahan gaya...
Mayank: Vo gaya... Vaise hi jaise Sada aur akdu Mayank gaya...
Me: Nahi.. Vo to abhi bhi hai.. but i love him like that...

He smiled & took my hand in his. Mayank wasnt very good at expressing his love with words. He expressed it with actions.

I also started playing with his hair. We both were enjoying each other's company. When Raj & Simran fell in Love a sudden though crossed my mind..

I: Mayank..
Mayank: Haan...Bolo...
I: Tumhe mujhse pyaar kab hua?
Mayank: Huh? Kaisa question hai ye?
I: Arreyy... Main pucha ki tumhe mujhse pyaaar Kab hua?
Mayank started thinking hard.

He replied a little later: Pata Nahi... Shayad hamesha se hi.. I always felt connected to you... as i told you before main un feelings se dur bhaagta tha... Par finally i realised that i cant... And i think meri feelings tumhare liye clear hone lagi jab hum Ahemdabad gaye the!

I: KYA? Mayank? Ahemdabad hum 4 mahino pehle gaye the? Tum tabse mujhe pyaar karte ho?
Mayank: Kaha naa.. Maine apni feelings realise baad mein kiya... Par after that trip i felt more attached to you...
I: Par... Tum to puri trip bhar aur uske baad bhi mujhse kitna ladte the...
Mayank chuckles: Main tumse nahi, apne aap se lad raha hai.. I was trying to stop myself from falling in love with you.. But i had already fallen for you... Tumse ladke khud ko tumse dur karna chahta tha.. Par kar nahi paya.. Phir i decided that i will give my love a chance...

I didnt say anything, I was thinking about all the previous times... 😊

Mayank: Aur... Tumhe mujhse pyaar kab hua?
I: Kisne kaha mujhe tumse pyaar hai?😆
Mayank: Stop teasing yaar... Batao naa!
I: Okay Okay Mayuuuuu! Hmm mujhe bhi dheere dheere pyaar hua tumse.. Pehle to i really hated you.. (his eyes shot up on hearing that😆)... Phir.. jab mujhe realise hua ki tum meri kitni care karte ho.. aur meri kitni respect karte ho.. then i think i started falling for you...

Mayank: Aur tum ek baat batao... tumhe ye kyun laga ki main drugs leta hun?
I: Tumhare Mood Swings to ekdum Mashallah! Kabhi gussa... Kabhi concerned... Uff!! Maine Uday Bhaiya se pucha to he gave me 2 options.. Pyaar ya Drugs..😉

Mayank: To tumhe drugs chuna? kyun?
I: Arreyy mujhe kya pata tha ki tum jaise sadu ko pyaar ho gaya hoga?
Mayank added softly: Par ab to pata hai na...

Something about his tone made me blush...😳

I: Hmm Haan... Acche se... Arreyy BY GOD!! Mayank... Dekho naa... Aadhi se jyaadi movie choot gayi! Ahhhh!
I started beating him with a cushion..

Mayank: Ufff Meri kya galti? tumne baat shuru ki thi!!

DING DONG!!!

Mayank & I stopped talking!!

Mayank: Abhi kaun hoga?
He looked at the clock. It was almost 9pm...

I: Jaake dekho naa...😆
Mayank: Jaa raha hun naa...

I resumed watching the movie.. I heard some murmurs coming from the living room but i couldnt hear anything bcoz of the noise coming from the TV!

Suddenly i got up. I had recognized the voice!!! It was Mayank's MAA!😲!

I turned to find the remote & i was almost frozen. Shilpa Aunty stood at the door smiling knowingly😲. Mayank was behind her looking nervous.

Aunty came foward & looked at me first. Then at the movie going on. She was shocked. I could see that. Then she turned and saw the Dining Table. The utensils and all were still there & She could see that we were the only ones here. She then again looked at me from head to toe. I think i must be looking over the top bcoz i was wearing a long white Churidaar Suit with my hair open!
She then looked back at Mayank who was looking everywhere but at her. I was also looking down.

She raised my chin and said "Bahut Sundar Lag Rahi ho Aaj...."

I: Umm.. Thank you Aunty...😳
Aunty added mischeviously: Vaise Mayuu... Tu kab se movies mein interested ho gaya? Vo bhi DDLJ? Vo to shayad.... Nupur ki favourite hai...Kyun?
Mayank: Maaa.... vooo....
Aunty: Tu Chup reh Samjha! Main 2 hafte ke liye gayi kya, yahan to sab kuch badal gaya.. kyun?
I looked down.. I was sooo embarassed. I wished a hole would open and i would fall in it. Caught by Mayank's Mother on your First Date isnt a good thing!! Definately NOT!

I: Umm.. Aunty main jaun! bahut late ho raha hai...
Aunty: Haan Haan Jao... Maine kahan roka hai? Haan agar Mayu ko kuch kaam ho tooo...
Mayank: Arrey Maa... Mujhe kahan kuch kaaam hai... Nu.... Nupur tum jao...
Aunty: Jao Mayu, isse chod aa...
I: Nahi Aunty.. Im fine... Main chali jaungi...
Aunty: Par Beta....
I: Nahi Aunty... Theek hai... Thank you! Bye.. Good Night..
I hugged her & went towards the main door..

Aunty: Mayu.. Nupur ko bahar gate tak to chod aa..
Mayank: Haan... Haan Maa...

Me & Mayank walked down the garden towards the main gate. Mayank took my hand😳.

Mayank: Im Sorry.. Vo Maa... Achanak...
I: Nahi Mayank... Its absolutely fine! It was the Best Evening of My Life.. Thank you so Much!
I looked towards the main door. Aunty wasnt there. I stood on my tip toes & kissed his cheek😳.
I: Good Night! Sweet Dreams..
Mayank was still shocked at my sudden kiss...

I went off running & blushing...
