This was a short chapter but a very eventful one. So, Ishaani and Rahul's engagement is broken and Ishaani is happy to have Ranveer by her side. :D This is getting more and more interesting. I wonder how Harshad is going to react to all this now. ;)

Chapter 7: Love of a parent

Everyone was shocked by the sudden appearance by Harshad. Rahul thought he could use Harshad's entry as his benefit.

"Sir, I just questioned Ishani where she had been after she suddenly left our engagement. But Ranveer got furious by me questioning Ishani so he broke our engagement. "

Before Ranveer and Ishani could tell the truth, Harshad had beaten them to it:

"Acha, are you sure about what you saying. I don't think I need to remind you of what I do for living. I can see the difference between right and wrong. And I will newer believe a stranger I know for tree months and disbelieve my children. If Ishani is related to me by blood, than Ranveer is related to me by hearth. Ishani, Ranveer and amba is my family and if they have broken ties with you, then I am certain it is for the best." Harshad said calmly. Rahul and his family left the party and so did the guest.

"Ishani, beta I am so sorry everything is my fault. You asked me to handle this, but when I tried to explain to them that you went because you thought Ranveer needed you they started misunderstanding you" apologized Amba who felt guilty, thinking that everything is her fault. Tears start running down her face, when she realized what sin she has committed.

"Arrey, Aunty why are you apologizing. I should thank you; because of you we all realize his true colors. Wo larka jho mujhe na samajpaya who mujhe khush kese rakhega. And aunty ap to meri maa jaise hai, app mere liye kabhi kuch galat nahi karsakti." Said Ishani with affection.
Amba who was touched by the trust and love Ishani held for her, gave Ishani a tight hug. Ranveer and Harshad smiled, watching their antics.

"Maa, if you two are down with your emotional scene. Can you take Ishani to her room, it is been a long day and she needs rest. "Ishani was going to protest because she was more interested in having that conversation they were supposed to have, but all her tree family members gave her stern look. She knew she had no chance winning against them. Ishani and her mother went to her room quietly.
When Ranveer was sure that his mother and Ishani had left, he told Harshad to come with him. Together they went to the library and discuss, Ranveer was happy to know that Alia had told them everything and how Alia was willing to testify.

"Thank you Uncle, today you saved her just like you once saved me." Thanked Ranveer sincerely.

"Arrey, beta I'm the one who should thank you, if it was not for you she would never started speaking. " Harshad said, one could hear the pride he held for Ranveer for his voice. Ranveer nodded and then start telling Harshad about what happened after he left interrogation rom, everything from Ishani hearing everything he said in interrogation room to Rahul's allegation. Harshad listened carefully to everything they said, both felt guilty that they had chosen Rahul for Ishani.

"Challo, Uncle I should go check on Ishani "said Ranveer and was about to leave when Harshad stopped him.

"Beta, I have not forgotten what you asked from me before the party" said Harshad and when it went up for Ranveer what he was talking about he abruptly asked:

"Uncle, did you find out something?" asked Ranveer who needed any clue he could get.
"Haan, beta she lived in the USA for couple of years, but two moths back she came back to the city. " Harshad gave him the address he had found.

"I hope this might help you, beta can I ask why this girl is important for you?" asked Harshad keenly.
"She means a lot to me, uncle. Regarding why it is important for me to find her, she is my responsibility and I need to know if she is happy "Ranveer explained to Harshad.

Giving Harshad his greatest smile he went towards Ishani's room. He found Ishani laying her head on his mother's lap and his mother singing for her gently. Ranveer smiled at the scene in front of him, he was happy that his mother and Ishani got along so well. Deciding not to interrupt them, he was going to turn his back when Ishani saw him.

"Ranveer, why are you standing there? Please come inside, we need to talk "said Ishani stubbornly, Ranveer shakes his head and thought this girl is unbelievable. Amba smiled at them both warmly , kissed Ishani on her head and said " take care " and started to walk towards the door.

"Maa, please wait for me in the living room, we will go home together "said Ranveer to his mother, Amba nodded and left without saying a word.

"Challo, Sunny let 's starts talking" said Ranveer with a sparkle in the eyes. Ishani rolled her eyes after hearing her nickname, but was happy to see Ranveer in a good mood. After all this day had not been an easy one.

" Ranveer , how many times have I told you not to call me that " said Ishani, even if she was secretly enjoying it .

"If I dont call you Sunny , then I will call you chotu . The choice is up to you" Said Ranveer cheekily.

" RANVEER , YOU DID NOT JUST CALL ME CHOTU " Said Ishani furiously.

"Jho tum ho , who hi bhulango na " said Ranveer

" I HATE YOU " Said Ishani childishly and turned her back from Ranveer .

" Ishani " said Ranveer , but he did not get any reply. Maybe she is really angry thought Ranveer , then an idea popped in his mind.

"Challo if madam is mad at me , then I guess we can't have a movie marathon tomorrow . I was even going to let you decide which movies we were going to watch. But since you are mad at me , I guess I will say to Uncle to give me a new case I can work with " said Ranveer and hoped that his plan will work.

Ishani turned her back again so she could face Ranveer. There she saw him looking at her innocently like he had not done anything wrong, giving his best puppy look. Damn those eyes , she thought. No Ishani, don't give up izzat ka sawal hai.

"I 'm sorry Ishu , you know I was just joking with you. And when I call you these names is because you are my best friend and you can also call me whatever you want "said Ranveer .

"Tomorrow , my place and we are going to watch only romantic movies " said Ishani how knew Ranveer hated romantic movies.

"Just romantic movies, you got to be joking? What about comedy and action?" asked Ranveer.

"If you want my forgiveness, then we will only watch what I decide " said Ishani stubbornly
"Fine "said Ranveer , knowing he had lost .

Ishani smiled when she got what she wanted, and Ranveer smiled back at her glad that he could make her smile.

"I'm sorry "
"I'm sorry" both said in union and looked at eachother confused why the other one was apologizing.

This was amazing MM! ⭐️⭐️ This story is getting better and better by every chapter. 😃 I have a suspicion about who this girl may be 'co-incidentally' 😆😆, but I would love to see how these turn of events will make Ishaani realide her love for Ranveer. 😃😉

Chapter 8: Something's never change

AN : Yes , I am back so soon with a new update :) Hope you guys don't mind, I apologize for the short chapter . Sorry for any typos and please let me know what you think. After today's episode , I felt this chapter was needed . Have a nice reading :)

"Why are you apologizing?" both said once again in union and then they burst out laughing. Both were happy to see each other laughing in such an eventful day.

"Ishani, you go first "said Ranveer while he smiled at her .

"Are you sure?" asked Ishani kindly

"Arrey, baba does it matter if you go first or I go first. Both will talk , for an conversation two people are needed to speak " answered Ranveer cheekily.

"Ranveer, you will newer change "

" sorry can't do that , someone once told me to never change no matter what " said Ranveer and many memories with her flashed in his mind. Ishani got confuse, she could not remember saying that.

"Who is this someone, do I also know this person ?" asked Ishani who really was exited to know .

"Arrey, forget this Ishani. Tell me why did you apologize?" Ranveer asked Ishani, but Ishani understood what Ranveer was trying to do.

"Ranveer, why do you keep things secret from me? "asked Ishani hurt, she remembered everything she had heard in the interrogationrom . Many question was wandering in her mind, did Ranveer trust her as much as she trusted him? Did he think she won't understand?
Ranveer saw the hurt in her face, and he understood what she was saying. He took her hand in his hand and said:

"Ishani, I don 't keeps secrets from you. Like you heard my past in not a nice, it is something that I try to forget. There is something's I don 't tell you or anyone else because I am not ready to talk about it and if ever will be you will be the one I will tell it too. Because you are my bestfriend, and there is no one I trust as much as I trust you Ishani Parekh. You better never forget that our doubt it If there is something that would never change, is our friendship. You were, still are and will always be my best friend, my support and the man I have become today is thanks to you. Cause I was pretty much a living zombie before I met you" Ranveer said while looking at Ishani's eyes with so much love and honesty that Ishani could not stop herself from embracing him in a big bear hug.

Ranveer was taken back by Ishani's gesture, it took time before his mind registered what was happening. Slowly he started getting relaxed and started to return the hug. He got lost in her hair's smell and wished the world could stop in this moment. How he wished he could stay in her arm's forever. Ishani on the other hand could not describe the feelings she was feeling, she had know for long time what she felt for him. But today here feelings for him got ten times stronger; she just wished he felt the same for her. But he just thought her as his best friend.
