Chapter 9 : Ups and downs

After a long time both let go of each other and were met by an awkward silence. Ranveer and Ishani had hugged many times before, but it had never been this intimate, and both did not know what that meant. Ranveer could see clearly on Ishani's face that she was embarrassed, to make the situation less awkward he asked her:
"So Ishani, you never told me why you wanted to apologize?" Asked Ranveer
"Yes, I wanted to apologize for making you worry. You had been trough so much today and on top of that you had to hear Rahul saying those things "apologized Ishani sincerely
"Ishani , why are you apologizing for what that morron said. And secondly I will always worry for you , cause I care about you. I am the one who should apologize I should have not get angry at you for leaving the party and am also sorry that he embarrassed you like that. That idiot did not realize how lucky he was to have someone beautiful, loving and caring person like you " Said Ranveer , there was no doubt that he meant every word.
Ranveer 's words were going through her head like a mantra, she could not describe what it feel's to be called beautiful by the person you love. He had not said hot or sexy, he had called her beautiful and by just thinking about his words gave her a sensual feeling.
When Ishani did not respond, Ranveer thought that he might have gone far over the line. He was about to say something before Ishani said: " Thank you , Ranveer . The girl that get's you are really the luckiest girl in the world "said Ishani with a heavy heart, she really wished she could bee that girl.
Ranveer smiled at her, and thought there is only one for me. Even if it is one side, I could live an whole life by just loving you Ishani. Later they too started with their nok jhok as usual and before they knew it time had flied. Ishani who was struggling with keeping her eyes closed, and Ranveer noticed.
"Ishani I should go no, you are really tied and should get some rest . I will talk you tomorrow, okey ?"
" Ranveer , I am not tired at all, let us keep talking we are having so much fun " said Ishani like a child.
" Yes, but sleep is also important . I don't wan to hear another word. "said Ranveer
"Fine " said Ishani and before she even knew it she was asleep. To see Ishani sleep peaceful always made Ranveer relax and gave him peace. Before leaving he said "Kash , tumse yeh bol sakta ke meri aashiqui sirf tumse hi " said Ranveer with a sad smile, cause he knew Ishani should never knew about his love. Ranveer left quietly so Ishani 's sleep would not get disturbed. When he met his mother, he expected her to say something about how much time he used. Amba did not say anything, just smiled friendly cause she knew that no matter what kind of problem may arise these two would always and forever bee together , supporting one another. Amba prayed that Ishani and Ranveer soon realized what they felt for each other, cause Amba had no doubt after today that Ishani and Ranveer could not love anyone else but each other.
Ranveer was on his way to his room, but he collided with a vase which made the picture he had in his pocket fall. Before he could pick it up, his mother did. Amba was shocked to see a picture of her , . Guilt, anger and sadness were all emotions she was feeling. To today 's date she could remember the girl's harsh full words, then she could not even imagine how Ranveer must bee felling.
"Do you not think it's time to forget her?" asked his mother
"When you can not forget her, do you really think I would be able to . Anyway you forgets the one you want to forget, not the ones you don't want to . I have no need or desire to forget her" Ranveer said emotionally.
"This girl gave you nothing more than a broken heart," said his mother with contempt in her voice
"That's were you are wrong mother; she gave me a lot more. You know and I also know that , you're asking me to forget how I spent my childhood with her. How should I forget that she took band aids on the wounds dad gave me, how shall I forget the care in her eyes. It was never sympathy but empathy. Would you like me to forget that she gave me hope, you want me to forget that she stood up for me when her own father called me a thief? "Said Ranveer , while tears flowed from his eyes like a waterfall.
"Then I am sorry that I have to say it to you, Mom. I can not AND WILL NOT FORGET HER"
"Do you think I'm not grateful for everything she did for you, but she accused you for something you had no control over." said his mother, who tried to give sense to him.
"You did as well, mother. And I've never blamed you or her for it." Said Ranveer, who heard like a completely broken man who had given up on the world.
"For I don 't blame her "he said weakly before he left to his room and fell on his bed and let the darkness scope him and he fell into deep nightmares and met the demons of the past.
