What to believe


Ishani opened the door and meet a very worried RV. Before she could say anything, he quickly went to her room and she ran after him. She saw how he threw his things and took out a good luck charm from her closet. She realized that it was something that was about Disha ,realizing that made her tense.

" Ishani "

" Ranveer " Both said each other's name at the same time

Ishani looked at Ranveer , signalizing him to continue.

" Shikhar called , Disha has severe abdominal pain and is vomiting, he will take her to the hospital. So I'll go and take care of Angela. Having said that, he was on the way out, but Ishani 's voice stopped him.
" Ranveer , I am coming with you " Ranveer nodded and both hurried out.

Ishani sighed when Angela finally slept, Ranveer had got a call so he asked Ishani sing to Angela. But Angela was stubborn, kept saying that only Ranveer was allowed to sing. So Ishani had read a good night story for her and after a while she finally slept.
Ishani went to the living room, but stopped on her tracks when she heard Ranveer 's voice full of anger.

"What the hell is this nonsense, you will do what I asked you to do . This is not discussable! "Ranveer said, and Ishani could not stop comparing Ranveer with RV. She had seen the old Ranveer when he was with Angela , when he had played dolls with her just so his angel could smile. That memory made her smile, but then she looked at Ranveer now all she could she was a shadow of someone she once knew.
In these eight years, they have not acted like a married couple. Heck they had not even acted like friends; it was like two strangers living together. The event in India had a big impact on them both, more they wished to admit.

Ranveer turned and looked Ishani who were standing there like a statue. Ranveer walked slowly over to her and said her name to get her attention.

"Are you okay?"

Ishani nodded and asked him the same. She saw that he gave her a very false Smile and said:
"Yes"
Ishani smiled a sad smile and said : " In the past my reply to you would be that you are a terrible liar , but now I can 't say that . Because you are one heck of liar, Mr . Vaghela " Ishani said with venom in her voice.

Her words hit him stronger than any arrow could hit his heart, and he remembered all the pain he has given her. The promise he had given himself to never hurt her was broken.
The atmosphere in the room had changed drastically, and a silence hit the room. Both looked at each other , trying to read there silence.

" Why , Ranveer ?" asked Ishani silenty and Ranveer could swear he saw the same heartbroken Ishani he saw for eight years ago.

" You know the answer , Ishani " Ranveer said no track of emontion in his voice.

" Each time I tell myself what you did , then you show me a side of the man I fell in love with " Ishani said . Ranveer gave her an apologetic look and said:

" I don't know what to say " Ranveer said honestly.

" I don't know what to believe anymore " Ishani said truthfully.
