Chapter 35 Unsure feelings
He hung up the phone, having sung finished for his angel. He still had some files standing on the catheter. RV closed his eyes for a moment, he missed the old life. One of the things he missed the most was being a police officer, to carry his gun and badge had been more than a profession for him , it had been a part of his identity.
He opened his eyes because he did not live in a fantasy world where he worked as a police officer, where everything between him and Ishani was alright. The reality was far from dream word of his, and he knew better than to have a dream word. Having a dream word was the same as having hope, and for him hope had become too costly.
"Emm RV "
Ranveer looked up and saw that his secretary, Julia, stood halfway into the room, half of her body hidden behind the door.
"Ja , Julie " ( Yes, Julie )
"The office is supposed to be close now "Julie, reminded her boss kindly .
Ranveer nodded and told her he was going to pack, she nodded and went after saying:
"Thanks for today "
RV made a mental note, to remind him about coming earlier tomorrow to finish all the files. Closing the door silently after himself, he left the office quietly.
Ishani stood before the window of his room and looked at the rain which poured, she took one look at her watch, and normally Ranveer would be home by now. She could not stop herself from worrying, she just hoped he was okay.
"Why am I so worried if he is bit late than usually?" Ishani asked herself loudly
" This is definitely not love !" Ishani whispered, without even noticing she was grabbing the necklace Ranveer had given to her on her birthday.
She saw a young couple dance in the rain from her window, the young couple looked so in love like she and Ranveer had once been.

Ishani had honestly never seen this coming, she had never thought that she and Ranveer would drift apart. How she wished they could go back in time , but it was to late now . They were getting divorced, even if that was her request she had somehow hoped he would refuse.
"I love you Ishani, if your happiness lay with not being with me . Then I will free you from this relationship, just know that I will always and forever be their for you even if you see me or not "
To think of his word, brought tears from her eyes. The debt of his love so visible, in his words no matter how much had happened between them

Love had the power to make a person, just as it had the power to break a person. Love had done both wonders on her, love had healed her made her become who she was only to shatter her into pieces.

Ishani closed her eyes, everything was reminding her of Ranveer . If she looked herself in the mirror, she would think about that time when Ranveer had come to tell about his father 's reentry.
If she looked at the TV, she would think about there countless movie nights. If she took a walk to the beach, that would also remind her of Ranveer . She knew no matter what , she was stuck with Ranveer for eternity, because if she liked it or not Ranveer was her heart and soul.
Whenever she looked in his eyes, she would always find that love which had always been there, but then she would remember what happened and all she would feel then was pain. Her mind tells her that he is a culprit, but her heart told her another story. Perhaps because her heart belonged to him, and could never believe anything wrong about him.

Ishani had no idea what would happen after the divorce , yes she had a job here in Norway and she is sure that she could find a appartment for herself , and she knew that Ranveer would make sure she would be able to settle down.
But the thought of not wearing mangalsutra and sindoor again , made her upset. Yes , her Ranveer 's marriage was not as they wanted it to be , but the thought of not seeing him everyday still pained her.

The moment those words came out, there was someone who called on the doorbell. Ishani rushed to open the door, thinking that Ranveer was probably wet because of the rain.
