Scene opens in Taiji's room. Conversation btween Taiji and Shakti.
Taiji: Kashinath's heart must be broken. They brought Vrinda from the ghaat to the house thinking of her as Bole nath's prasad. But she turned out to be poison.
S: What a great thing the so called Dehdahji's daughter has brought.Just as a diamond showed its shine. Dehdahji's eyes became blinded.
Taiji agrees with him that that is the sign in this matter, that Kashinath had come across an equal adversary. Kashinath thinks of himself as a lion and Banu is not even a half lion. But his son Vikram has come as a collector. If Kashinath goes against Vikram, the whole government will go against Kashinath. And if Vikram uses his youth and passion to try and obtain Vrinda , Kashinath would be a sight to see.
S: That means that for us from every angle it is mauja hi mauja.
They both are pleased.
Vrinda sees Kashinath sitting in his room and goes to talk to him.
When Vrinda calls out Bauji, Kashinath turns his head away. But Vrinda is insistent. She comes and kneels in front of him. Kashinath turns the other way. Vrinda admits that she has committed a bit mistake and there is no forgiveness for this mistake. She is not even hoping for a forgiveness. But she wants her father to talk to her. Scold her and beat her but not remain silent. She takes an oath that though she has hurt his feelings she has not done anything that would cause him to feel ashamed. She promises her father that she will forget all those memories that have distanced her from her father. She will forget Vikram and not even mention his name. She says she can't tolerate his silence and she will die. But Kashinath just gets up and walks away. Shankar is a witness to this.
Banu is talking on his mobile's loudspeaker, asking where has the collector dissappeared to. Shankar comes to Banu's house. He overhears Banu on the phone asking someone to learn about Vikram whereabouts. Shankar interrupts and says that he will tell where Vikram is. Banu looks up in shock and amazement. Banu and Shankar face each other. Maya comes there with a thali.
Shankar: Before find out Son's whereabouts look at your own black deeds. You trapped my brother in your plot. I tolerated. You put false accusation on me and sent me to lock up. I tolerated. But if you even bat an eyelid on my house honour then I will beat you up.
Banu raises his voice on Shankar in anger but pulls back and controls his anger. Banu asks him why he is talking rubbish, what has Banu done? .
Shankar replies that Banu tried to get Vikram joined to his sister. Banu tells him that that is love. He tells Shankar that he is against this love. He asks Shankar to join hands with him to break the lovers so that Shankar can get his sister and he his son.
Shankar doesn't believe him and accuses him of starting a new drama when the other one is not even finished. Shankar accuses Banu of sending Vikram to his house to ask for Vrinda's hand. Banu and Maya are shocked. Banu calls Vikram a nalayak.
Banu tells Shankar that had he known he would have gone and asked for the rishta. But Shankar doesn't believe him. He tells Banu that he will not bend in front of his son's collector's post and many collectors have come and gone in his father's life. Shankar again threatens to beat him up should he bat an eyelid at his sister.
Banu is very angry but controls his anger. Shankar leaves.
Banu and Maya are left. Banu says he thought that with the collector's post Kashinath's gundagiri would end. But you thought about setting up a household. Banu is dissappointed with his son. He scolds Maya. He accuses Vikram of betraying him. Vikram went to the enemy's house and cut off his nose. Maya defends her son and says that her son has behaved bravely. She says her son is not one to attack from the back like a coward. Banu and Maya argue about this. He insist that Vikram behaved like a beggar and went to ask for alms. Banu sees Vikram's photo on the table. He throws it on the floor. Maya picks up the photo.
Banu accuses Vikram of spoiling his name. Maya defends him and ask Banu what he has done for Vikram. All Banu has done is given Vikram his name. Her son wants to break the wall of enemity. Banu says he will fight alone. He will draw the weapon and drive the chariot too. He doesn't want the wall of enemity to crumble.
Maya is in her room and puts Vikram photo on her dresser. She is proud of her son's bravery. She believes that only he can break the enemity between the families.
Kashinath is pacing his room recalling the time when he first met Vikram at the sangeet and other scenes. He sits down dejected lost in his thoughts.Sharada calls him to come eat.
He tells her that he is holding back his tears. How will time pass. Sharada advises him to let the tears flow. Maybe with their release, their own will get forgiveness and your heart lighten. Kashinath says the heart is a betrayer. His Vrinda has broken trust but Sharada interrupts and says that Vrinda has tried to repair the damage. But Kashinath says that trust is like glass, once shatters that is it. He says that Banu wanted to use her as a chess piece and Vrinda agreed. He says he is sad that his daughter has not understood him and vice-versa.
Krishna is helping Nirbhay with his homework. She tells him that school homework is done. Now general knowlege. She looks through a magazine and shows him a picture asking him who it is. She tells him it is Big B. He reapeat Big B. She asks what is his son's name. Nirbhay says Abhishek. Nirbhay is looking mighty upse. Sanya walks in and asks Nirbhay to come eat. Krishna says she is sending Nirbhay to eat, only one last chapter consisting of Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan and then Kapoor.
Nirbhay refuses to eat until Vrinda feeds him. He complains that Vrinda doesn't even talk to him thesedays. Krishna tells him that Vrinda is on permanent karva cauth. Sanya wished things could be different.
Krishna blames herself for pushing Vrinda on Vikram's car but he turned out to be a surprise package just like an item song. Sanya says she understands Krishna's worry but it could be that the boy is sincere about ending the enemity between the two houses. Krishna doesn't believe it because he is Banu Pratab's son. Sanya questions her if hatred can be ended by love? Krishna says that Vrinda has already sacrified her love and wonder though if she will be able to forget. Will Kareena Kapoor be able to forget Shahid ?
Vrinda is in her room sitting at the window recalling the tender moments of togetherness. She goes to the drawer and pulls out the love letter and crumples them. She says that she has lost everything. She says that she will show her father that she is the same Vrinda whom he can trust.
Vikram is in his office but is unable to concentrate, recalling Vrinda's words. He tries to call her but hangs up and then tries again. This time Vrinda tells him never to call her ever again and make a fool out of her. She accuses him of making use of her.
