its true people want justice and even though he is a nice guy(as people tell) but a simple and single mistake can cause much problem... one more point what personally i felt...after hearing this courts result...

All in all, it was a shameful day.

In our country almost every "important" person gets away with any crime be it carrying arms, bombing, killing people by drunken driving, rape. A TV channel like NDTV and several SMS were needed to convict the rapist and murderer in Mattoo case. The judgment looks more in Sanjay Dutt's favor. Court couldn't set him scot-free. So this was the least they could "offer". Haah! At least he was convicted.

😆 😆 😆 what a debate

u know priya is a very kabil wakeel indeed and usse jeetna mushkil hi nahi namumkin hi hai

jokes aside i wud like to tell in plain english. i dont know wakil language or terms but one thing i can say those who have committed a crime regardless of their status in society shud be punished. after all innocents suffer due to their sick mind.

we had 93blasts riots then more blasts then delhi blasts and more recent suburban train blasts which just shook the city
i myself spent horrid time tryin to contact my son who was at the time of blasts supposed to be in train but by gods grace he was home much earlier except for cell network which crashed

but there were others who suffered

i wud again say this only those who knowingly did something wrong shud be punished

and i think i agree here with priya's points in this case

Dunno how cum his fans who r supporting him can tolerate him, despite of the fact tht evrything is clearly written infront of dem in the articles n priya di's explanation.😕

All those who say tht SD shud not be punished or be given harsh treatment...just put urself in place of the ppl who lost deir dear ones in dose blasts of 1993....maybe den u wud be able to make the right n a fair decision.

Btw, whteva the decision is made in dis case, will it be made the precedent?😕

Thanks Chatterbox 😉

Sorry, if my words seem too legalese, but sometimes, it becomes difficult to avoid them, ab thodi aadat si pad gayi hai 😃

The magnitude of the act is something which was known to all, or if not known, should have been obvious on the face of it. He cannot pretend to say that he was keeping RDX for self protection and if that is the case, he could have done so with a license. Fact is he knew the magnitude of the crime.

And so what if he went through trying times in life? So what if he lost his mum and now his dad? So what if his movies are doing well in the movie scene?

All this cannot change the fact that he participated in the conspiracy with the full knowledge and intent of the actions and thus making it a cold blooded planned act of terrorism and he MUST pay the price for it.

And what price has he paid till date?? 18 months in jail? Is that enough to reform him when the others with him are being put away for similar crimes for larger periods.

Imagine Sanjay Dutt saying he needs to be out of jail for settling things for his daughter!!! and that he is the only earning member of his family Other than his daughter he has no other family so to speak and surely he has made enough for her till date. Other men are also in jail and their children are surviving, his daughter will also survive. Did he think when he participated in the blasts that some father will lose his life and some child will become orphans. Is he providing for those children? If he never thought of those children who are sufferening for no fault, why should the law take cognisance of his suffering, which is completely self inflicted.

Unfortunately yes. Until the sentence is either set aside/ confirmed by the Supreme Court.

As of now however, the quantum of sentence for anyone hasnt been pronounced, they have simply held them guilty or not.

Well first of all I am neither a Sanjay Dutt fan and niether have studied law any day (except those in Bollywood movies and news articles). But what I know is that he has been just found guilty on one count i.e. "possession of arms" i.e. AK-47 and he has been cleared of the other charges like being part of the terrorist conspiracy.

Well as per law we cant call an accused a criminal until found guilty. He has been cleared of the "terrorist" charges.

Personally I DONT think Sanjay Dutt would have been part of such a terrorist act if he had any idea of their intentions and the scale of destruction that could have caused.

Or it may so happen that he himself have succumbed to the threats he recieved from D company to co-operate in transferring some "goods" else... (you can guess). But we all here are just talking on assumptions without knowing the real truth.

Well there have been no proofs / evidence shown that he had recieved any monetary favor for being part of the crime except the AK-47.

What I just wonder now is that did he thought that his house will be attacked by some mob that he had to use AK-47 to tackle them. 😕

After complete investigations and in court he has been freed of the "conspiracy" charges.

Well law must take its own course.... lets not talk on assumptions.

Cheers,
Vijay
