Login Problem's:

~ I am not able to login!

- It shows me password error.

- It shows me some cookie problem.

Case 1:

- It shows me password error.

Ok now in such cases, the first step is to check:

- Have I entered the right password?

- Is my keyboard Caps Lock switched on?

Now if both the arguments are false, then probably your password has been changed by someone else "or" you have forgotten it. Contact any Dev.Team member in such case. We will reset your password. The next step as soon as your password is reset by any dev team member:

- Change your password!

Keeping safe passwords:

- The importance of picking a good, secure password can't be emphasized enough. Your password is the way the computer verifies that someone logging in is really you, so pick something that cannot be guessed by others.

- The top reasons people gain unauthorized accesses to a password protected system is: They guessed someone's password. (often because they found it on a piece of paper next to the victim's computer or because they saw the person type the password in, but also because they use software programs that are VERY good at guessing common passwords.)

Follow the rules below to create passwords that are not easy to guess:

* The password must be at least 6 characters long. The longer—the better.

* The password must contain a mixture of upper- and lowercase characters, numbers, punctuation marks and special characters.

* It must be meaningless.

* If a password is hard to remember, it is also hard to guess.

* Change your password at least every two months.

Common Mistakes

These are too easy to guess. Don't use

* Your name

* Your spouse's name

* Your parent's name

* Your pet's name

* Your child's name

* Names of close friends or coworkers

* Names of your favorite fantasy characters

* Your boss's name

* Anybody's name

* The name of the operating system you're using

* The hostname of your computer

* Your phone number

* Your license plate number

* Any part of your social security number

* Anybody's birth date

* Other information that is easily obtained about you

* Any username on the computer in any form (as is, capitalized, etc.)

* A word in the English dictionary

* A place

* A proper noun

* Passwords of all the same letter

* Simple patterns on the keyboard, like qwerty

If you follow all these rules, cracking your password will take months and even years.

Case 2:

- It shows me some cookie problem.

Here the first step is to check:

- What is the exact error message!

- Error Message: Not Accepting Cookies.

- Error Message: Please delete cookie files.

- Error Message: Not Accepting Cookies:

Follow the following method:

Enable the option to accept cookies in Internet Explorer. To do so, follow these steps:

# If using Internet Explorer version 6.x, goto Tools - Internet Options - Privacy - Make sure Default option is clicked or the bar is in the medium position.

1.

In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the Tools menu (or View menu in Internet Explorer version 4.x).

2.

In Internet Explorer 5, click the Security tab, and then click Custom Level. Click Enable or Prompt under Allow cookies that are stored on your computer.

In Internet Explorer 4.x, click the Advanced tab, and then click Prompt Before Accepting Cookies or Always Accept Cookies.

3.

Click OK until you return to Internet Explorer.

4.

Connect to the Web address from which you received the "Not accepting cookies" error message to verify that you are able to gain access to the Web page.

If you select the Prompt Before Accepting Cookies option and you still cannot access the Web page, follow the steps in method 1 again and select the Always Accept Cookies option (the Enable option in Internet Explorer 5).

- Error Message: Please delete cookie files. (This should be the problem most of our members face at India-Forums)

You can follow any of the following methods:

- Delete your browser cookies.

- If this happens when you use "Quick Login" methods try using "Full/Longer Login" method.

How to delete cookie files:

Microsoft Windows 98 and later

Mozilla Firefox

Click on Tools, then Options
Select the Privacy icon in the left-hand panel
Click on Cookies
Click on View Cookies
To remove a single cookie click on the entry in the list and click on the Remove Cookie button
To remove all cookies click on the Remove All Cookies button

Netscape Navigator 7.x

Choose Cookie Manager from the Tools menu.
Choose Manage Stored Cookies.
Remove any cookie from the list, or remove all cookies.

Opera

For Opera 6.0, go to Files on the tool bar. Click on Delete Private Data. Then select what cookies you want to delete. Usually, a cookie has a name that is the same as or similar to that of the web site that provided them.

If none of the above methods work for you, which I am sure will work, try using any other browser. Download other browsers like Mozilla Firefox, Netscape Navigator, Opera.

Please search Google with the respective name of the browser you shall easily get the browser homepage from where you can download the browser.

Remember to RESTART your browser for the changes to take effect!
