She trusted him without any proof today. This is the Pallavi we've always known — when she decides to support someone, she does it fully. Kal she saw the vulnerable side to Raghav and realised how much family means to him. However, VD isn't Raghav's family... Raghav has no real reason to treat him right. It's a known fact that they're always clashing against each other. Raghav is an egoistic man. How convenient would it be to slyly send VD to jail and then get him out, earning brownie points from both Pallu and amma while teaching a much-needed lesson to this audacious man? Amma was right, he's done this exact thing to her family before... why not now? How could Pallavi trust him?
Well, because it wasn't about what Raghav could do, it was what he would do. This is why I loved her dialogues so much today... she knows him so well. She knows fully well that he was capable of doing this, but it's also because she knows him that she was confident he didn't do it. She took her sweet time taking a stand... and I think there were two things that contributed to it.
One, she was waiting to see how Raghav reacted to the allegation. Like she said, whatever he does, he does it danke ki chot pe. Behind-the-back attacks... that isn't RR's style. He would much rather gloat and show off the power he held over his enemy. When she saw him deny the accusations so strongly, even retorting back with insults (loved the comment about the bloodline defect 🤣)... she knew he wasn't lying. That's why she listened carefully to every word he said in his defence.
Second, she wanted to see what "evidence" baba was basing his allegations on. No matter what happened in the shower scene yesterday, I do believe she had her own doubts running in her mind (amma's seeds also contributed). But seeing that flimsy piece of paper as the only evidence, she automatically drew parallels to her own incident... when a random stranger had implied whatever and it was given more weightage than her own words. In her mind, she automatically decided to give the weightage to Raghav's words instead. It's just like when she gave him a chance — she knows the pain of not getting one, and didn't want him to go through it. Her experiences with Dfam has hurt her in all sorts of ways, and she takes extra care not to inflict that pain on anyone else. I love this girl 🥺❤️
I do believe that no gawa, no saboot can shake her trust on Raghav now. She's just that kind of person — when she trusts, she trusts blindly. All Raghav would have to do is stand in front of her and say that he didn't do it — and Pallavi would believe him. But, I'm also sure that today's incident actually made way for this trust. Had she not seen the world standing against him, she wouldn't have stood beside him so easily.
Another thing I really liked — Pallavi telling baba that whatever Raghav was doing was to bridge the gap between them. There was an unsaid part to that statement — "and whatever you're doing is only widening the gap between us." Really classy and subtle 👏
That's it, my two cents for today 😆 I miss analysing scenes like this, not getting enough time these days 😭
Really looking forward to tomorrow's episode... Raghav was clearly touched by her trust today I wanna see how he thanks her. Bechara will get so overwhelmed... I won't be surprised if he fumbles over his words 😆
