This time nobody challenged the contestants to come out of their comfort zones. Last time there were challenges were contestants had to make a Mediterranean platter, Italian food, Asian food with Indian ingredients, bento box and even one where they got a country and they had to make a fusion dish with that country and their state.
If nothing else, atleast make contestants swap shopping baskets. This year the challenges are so meh
Exactly! I kept waiting for a twist in some of the challenges. Like the one where they had a hidden mystery box vs an open one. I was expecting the hidden one to just say "you make what you want" or to have easy ingredients.
This one that they are doing at JW Marriott - I was expecting that they would be told that they can only cook using the grill or outside or something like that.
The zero waste challenge was a complete waste.
They brought last year's contestants and just had them cook. Arre baba you could have made it where last year's contestants go through 3 rotations and each will bring their own touch to your dish so how do you work with that? Or better yet have a cook along with Nayan.
I remember some old challenges so fondly - like the time they had to go to a supermarket and purchase their ingredients and then come back and cook all in 2 hours. Or the one last year where they had to cook outside at the Amul farm. How about having them cook for a flight again? That was an awesome team challenge. Cook for another raja!
Before the challenges though, they need better judges. I liked Garima last year. And what will it take to bring Kunal back and get rid of Ranveer? Vikas is the only judge I like nowadays.
