I hope I am wrong but I feel Suraj will be sacrificed to save Kriti at some point

Oh god I hope not. I think they will take 2 males and 2 females through to top 4 and have 1 each as finalist. It seems to be the trend.

They can sacrifice Nidhi or Rukshar to save Kriti. smiley36

My opinion is if it’s customers voting, let it be just that. Judges in this case completely voided the customers vote

I feel the same. If it's a customer challenge let the customers decide, why are judges deciding.

And as customer pointed out they liked the chicken and prawns which judges didn't.

They disliked the Pani Puri which judges did.

Let customers decide if it's a customer challenge. Felt like a favouritism towards rukshar and nambi.

When it's street food customers want that taste red team didn't had that except for there idli burger as pointed out by customers.

PPL loved fried stuff in street food that's why they liked blue team more.

They made the customers decision null and void

First things first, Rukhsaars team couldn’t make puris, they were coming out as papdi. How did they suddenly manage so many puris?

I’ve grown up eating crisp fried lotus stem (popular amongst Sindhis), don’t understand the brouhaha over it. It’s always had as an accompaniment and not a stand alone item.

A Idli sandwich isn’t an innovation, I’ve had it before.
Also guacamole is a pani puri? Where’s the bite? Normally you’ll find kala chana, aloo, ragda or boondi in a pani puri. I wouldn’t mind guacamole as innovation, but I’d miss the bite. The colour of the pani seemed like it lacked mint and cilantro. Is it really a pani puri then?

On the other hand, the blue team - the papdi did look too thick to me, and if it wasn’t baked at low temperatures for long enough it wouldn’t be properly cooked. Again, the texture of potatoes was like the texture of their sauces, where’s the play on textures? I wish they’d atleast topped it with sev, and if they didn’t have time for that, crushed puri!

The prawn popcorn - it looked very crispy, reminded me of a tempura. The problem is such crispy batter fried stuff needs a sauce to impart flavour, or as the judges said some sprinkled masala.
I’ve never had a paniyaram and have no idea of what it should taste like. So I’ll go with the judges comments that it was excellent.

The chicken cannoli reminds me of a chicken roll my mum used to make - creamy chicken in a spring roll wrapper. I’ve turned vegetarian so haven’t had it in years, but I could almost taste it when I saw Ashiq cook it. The pasty texture may not be for everyone. But then when he described the dish he said mildly flavoured chicken - not very apt for fast food.

Just basis this, I’d have given my vote to the red team. But this was a restaurant service challenge and I strongly believe that the customers views should’ve been the deciding factor.

Also, they said Rukhsaar, Nambi and Suraj are semi finalists. 7 people in the semi finals? Does that mean the show ends in 2 weeks from now?
This season seems really rushed, like they aren’t interested. Wonder if we’ll see another season.

@chemcart_mj I am from Mangalore and Puttu Kadla made by Aashiq is a Kerala dish and not a mangalorean one.

I had told my family already, that judges favour Rukhsar. They will make sure, she is the finalist in least effort. But in this season, favouritism is so obvious that I don't feel like watching master chef anymore.

Even yesterday, they called it zero waste challenge but literally everyone wasted stuff. It would have been more interesting if everyone got one coconut and had to make different dishes using that and limited ingredients from the pantry (like 5 each or something). And they had to bring their dish + their waste together to get judged. Then that would have been more interesting.

Team challenge. It's quite obvious they are setting up red team for the win again. It has Suraj, Nambi, and Rukshar and judges don't like Harry, so obviously blue team will go to elimination unless this time they've decided one of the Ks is going.

Monday’s episode, Tuesday's was also boring. What they keep calling as challenge is not a challenge at all.

Tuesday’s challenge was a zero waste namesake challenge. They all had a free reign to choose stuff. They could have limited at-least that. Your suggestion of everyone receiving one coconut and then pantry staples would have made it challenging. I am wondering from where Md.Ashiq got his coconut shell. I don’t recall him scraping coconut.

The team challenge was funny. Nothing like Ruksar mentioned that it is a big co-incidence that both Nidi & Ruksar became the team captains & end up having the same team like earlier. It is scripted but please make it believable.

@ Bold: Exactly. At one point I literally saw Nidhi throw something off the pan into the sink. How is that zero waste? They did a zero waste in a previous season - I think season 3. At that time it was actually zero waste! Some of the contestants even used the scraps from the potatoes they peeled to make potato peel chips and stuff. Now that's real innovation.

@ Red: I know right? And then when they are choosing teams for each other, they are so kind to each other. If I was in Nidhi's place I would have given Harry to Rukshar first then Rukshar would be stuck. She could get either Nambi or Suraj. But no. Nidhi has to be kind and give her Nambi first. Aww so sweet. Please. It made me gag. And I love sweets! smiley24

I wanted to add one more bit of Nambi's recklessness while she was using the piping bag to make irregular shapes. I feel she needs to work on her proportions as not everything can come out on her andaaz.

-----

Regarding today's episodes, I guess skewed results wins the race. It really felt like Suraj was the team captain, not Rukhsar. Ranvir agar normal language mein baat karle instead of so much angrezi jhadna toh its better for him. I wish the executive chef said something more than the judges themselves in the kitchen.

Harry's so slow as if he expects some special entry that the guests have to wait for his dish. Itne mei toh more than 50% of customers would leave the kitchen. When Vikas asked about the paniyaram, there was miscommunication wherein Nidhi mentioned the raw material as the stuff paniyaram & Harry mentioned its in pilot mode.

I would like to see Suraj as a captain 'cause dude's kinda hysterical for some reason. I felt only he was the one who worked hard out of all three in the red team even though they were saved due to biased decision making.

Blue team's prawn popcorns were not enticing, tbh. But customers voted more for the blue team & the clips were evident of that. The judges just want to indicate that their views are more important than that of the customers by having twice the value. I would agree with the comment of adding some masala ki dusting over the fried material though as it kinda looked boring in terms of vision.

When did Pooja visit the kitchen lol 😂 🤣 ? I only saw Gaurav (the executive chef), Vikas or Ranvir.

True that. So bored of the Kashmiri route already.
